“A great brewpub in the Gaslamp. Tasty beers, attentive staff and super dog friendly. Lots of special offers, like game day discounts, which is also nice to see. Didn’t eat here, but the food looked good. A good place for hanging out with your mates.“
“OMG the place is so cute! My girlfriends and I went for happy hour and it was so nice! We got wings, fries, and drinks and it was such a great deal and super fun too. I think the drinks were $6 dollars each and they were delish! We will be back soon!“
“We loved the delicious, home-cooked food so much that we ate lunch here twice during our two-week stay in SD. The small restaurant is run by a Danish couple. The baked goods vary from day to day, and the food is fresh and authentically Danish. The service is warm and personal. Highly recommend!“
“I had to citrus chicken. It was amazing. This chicken was tender and juicy. It came with rice, beans and a small salad. The beans were seasoned wonderfully, and the taste was delicious. The rice was fluffy and seasoned, and the salad with the light dressing was great. I enjoyed it very much. The service was wonderful. The staff were professional and upbeat. They they were smiling all throughout the service. They had the music going and the place was very clean. They attended you quickly, you go up to order at the bar and as you're going across you can see the delectable desserts. I purchased the Mojito tart dessert which was refreshing. I enjoyed it very much. My experience was simply divine because the atmosphere and the restaurant are inviting. I definitely enjoyed my company, and will be back to this restaurant again to try some of their other delicious foods and desserts.“
“There were no tables so we had to sit at the bar. Be sure to make reservations for a Saturday night. I ordered the Spicy burger and it tasted delicious. A little on the greasy side but still pretty good. Had to wipe my hands after each bite. There was a Serrano pepper in my burger which made it super spicy. The clam chowder was perfection. Service was wonderful. Definitely coming back.“
“Dropped in for a late-night beverage and wow did this bring back memories of a youth spent in rural Idaho with many of the same items around our simple town and home. For anyone fond of the classics and the ‘good ol’ days’, you should definitely pop in for a drink to check it out.“
“Had the Meatball Soup and Spiced Street Chicken. EXCELLENT and would love to have again. Outside seating is nice when the weather is too. Lack of parking might be an issue for you but I literally walked over here after an appointment with the VA clinic nearby.“
“Wow! Wow! Wow! Had the white chicken chili and what a fabulous eating experience!! The flavor was so warm and delicious with a kick of heat. Chunks of chicken, peppers, and beans in a broth that was so complex it tasted as if it was cooking for days. One of the best I've ever had!“
“I ordered Cowgirl fries and I'd say it's surprisingly good! I liked the flavor combination of fried crispy chicken with applewood bacon and fries. I don't usually eat jalapeño in my food cause I see them as 'decorations', but these ones actually gave a nice balance to fried chicken. Fried chickens were not dry nor burnt which I liked as well. By far the best food truck I tried among many my community managers had invited.Anyway, I didn't get to try their shakes this time but I'm down to get their food next time if I see them around UTC area. If you guys have any regular spots let me know.PS: well about the kiosk, I actually liked it better than ordering at windows. Sometimes I feel awkward to take time looking at the menu while people in the truck are waiting for me to order. No thoughts on the pricing tho.“
“My daughter and I enjoyed a delightful dinner at True Food. I opted for the meatloaf while she chose the ancient grain bowl, and we were both thoroughly impressed with our choices. The service was exceptional, and the cozy ambiance, especially by the beautiful fireplace, made for a perfect evening despite the cold weather.“
“Great brunch!Sheila is amazing ? we were treated like family, had great flights (mimosas and lazy dog drafts) and the brunch was well received by us!The lumberjack tacos (with a side of jalapeno aioli) are spectacular. Wife had the breakfast club and kids had chocolate chip pancakes with macaroni and cheese.Great atmosphere, amazing service (ask for Sheila's section) and delicious food and drinks.Ask about the beer club. It's the gift that keeps on giving ?A++ recommend to try brunch when they open at 1000!“
“The roast duck slurp was delicious. The spices was perfect. They put the broth and the noodles in separate containers. The service was quick, and the broth was very hot. We ate outside of the Liberty Public Market building where there were tables and an outdoor sink. The weather was good.“
“Great spot, I have been coming here for years and the food and service is always excellent. I have eaten here at breakfast, lunch, and dinner times, and the whole experience is always pretty spot on. The inside of the restaurant is nothing fancy, But if you are going out to eat, it is because you want good food and good service, and Elijah’s delivers both.Bonus: They are open on most major holidays from my understanding. I have eaten here on holidays such as fourth of July, thanksgiving, and christmas day and they have been open.Total .“
“Sammies has been my go-to spot for a while now! I try not to eat out often, but when I do, I get a sandwich from here. The 6in sandwiches are huge and could be two meals if you get a combo. The staff is always nice to me here and always has my food ready when I come to pick up my items. Would definitely recommend this small business!“
“What a fun little place to go and listen to live music! Food is pretty good, Service is as good as it could be with so few people working behind the bar. You have to go up to the bar to order food. But everything was really great and we really enjoyed ourselves!“
“They have a seasonal menu, which is an awesome thing. The fact that there are 2-3 items which change with season what’s the restaurant world apart from the others. Also the restaurant is really big and has a combination of outdoor and indoor seats and family seats.“
“To close out our night we stopped here to grab a few. It was a bit chilly as the door are open and there are no heaters. Very nice vibe and I will have to come back another time to fully enjoy. We stuck with beer, but I would like to see what else the menu has.“
“I would have given five stars across-the-board if not for one issue. They are understaffed. The waiter was much too busy for the number of tables he had, and while we definitely don't mind waiting, my mother started having a bad coughing attack, and he still hadn't brought any water to the table after 20 minutes. I went to the bar to ask for water because she was having a hard time, and he didn't listen to me, he just kept saying “in a minute, in a minute” when I insisted I just needed a water quickly for her. I had to rush across the street to get some water for her. Eventually he brought over our beverages, but not a water for her. That being said, the food was delicious, and definitely worth the value . They just need some help.“
“The food was amazing. I had my first Poboy, WOW! We heard about this thru Guy Fieri's show. The music ? was jammin! I was in town visiting from Green Bay, WI and we went out of our way to find this place. Well worth the drive. The atmosphere is casual but fun. Thank you!“
“George (the owner) and his staff were incredibly hospitable and source food consciously. The baba ghanoush and falafel were INCREDIBLE, even by comparison to dishes I've had while travelling in the middle east. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego! Well worth the drive from down town (better quality, better price). Bonus for LOTS of vegetarian and vegan options.“
