I added some fries on the side and my drink of choice was the natural red wine. I paired these fantastic options with the outdoor seating that is located in the back. I chose this place because it's within walking distance of where I live. I'm glad it's nearby, because I'll be coming back again. It's my first time here by the way. 5 out of 5 ! Philly Frank's in San Marcos is close, Gaglione Brothers (stadium version) is a distant third. No gristle. The money pitch is the 1/2 cheesesteak ($8) with a side of tots ($6.50). “Great spot to have drinks with a friend or meet a first date! Love the owner Scott really down to earth guy. The DJ Corey is cool too, he will always get to you even if it's later in the night. He makes sure he calls up everyone that requests their song and is great at mixing up the playlist to satisfy all music tastes. However, be prepared to wait your turn for karaoke nights. If it's the weekend and very busy they may not have time to get to you by closing time. They will let you know when it's your turn tho and call you up to the stage. The lyrics are also displayed on a big screen and a tv in front of you. Overall great experiences here and fun times. Adrian, Matt, Charlie, Lexie or Alexa, Erik, and Aaron are all great bartenders and have very good communication and social interactions. “Came to enjoy a good beer, good food and the sunset on the ocean. I got all of that and a lot more. Was solo so sat at the bar. On one side of me was a guy from the east coast that comes here every time he visits on business. On the other is a 50 year Ocean Beach local. Both recommend the fish tacos, but didn't agree on the grilled versus the fried. I ordered the grilled and it was very good. Plentiful portion and perfect balance of fish, veggies and sauce. The sunset was gorgeous, but it was highlighted by a daily Wonderland ritual. They distribute a tasty shot of a special concoction to every customer, ring a ships bell as the sun dips below the horizon and make a lengthy toast to appreciate it. I will be back to San Diego and Wonderland Ocean Pub will be at the top of my list of favorite places to visit.“

We got a full order of brussels sprouts, a half chicken entree, braised short rib entree, AND a bottle of wine for $55. It was insane and SO delicious. Our server, Aram, was the man. But i did have a great time throwing a baseball at the screen. We got lucky and got 2 hours on a Thursday without a reservation. The bartender was so kind and friendly. Many drivers are shady and dishonest and will STEAL your order and you will only find out about it an hour later when customer service calls you to cancel your order without any consequences or accountability. This is highly frustrating when you have made plans around your dinner just to have it canceled and you have to waste time and make last minute adjustments, but it’s not the fault of the restaurant at all. “I decided to order takeout here because the Mr. Peabody's in Encinitas wasn't picking up & I live closer to this location on Friars Rd than the one located next to Moonlight Beach. Based on their menu, I ordered the NY Steak because it comes with potatoes and salad for under $20. The food was great but nothing mind-blowing. It's just your average diner food with super nice staff. Compared to the Encinitas location, the waitresses here look calm and relaxed. It was also a lot brighter & quieter so you're able to look at the menu without squinting. Unfortunately, they don't have live music in this location but they did have the basketball game playing on the television so I'll definitely be back to watch a game here sometime soon. I don't mean kiddie casinos that give tickets so you can trade them for cheap prizes, I mean an arcade with cabinets and pinball as an end in and of themselves. Dyno Bar is that for me. I recommend the 60th Anniversary James Bond pinball machine, Golden Axe II (because 4-way beat-em-ups are great for meeting people) and the cabinet with tons of ROMs of games from the 70's to the 90's. Anytime I'm in San Diego, I'll find my way here for sure.“
