Stale taco shells, empty salsa bar, overpriced airplane food.This place is awful. Just stick with the Shipwreck Cafe if you’re eating in the park. It’s the only place that is remotely decent and has not failed for years.
We ate here on a slow day and I'll give Hibisco a little love with some caveats. 1) if it's busy skip it. I've seen the switchbacking line other times and passed right by. As others have mentioned there is 1 cashier taking orders and the line goes slow (mostly because guests don't have there order ready when they get to the cashier) 2) The portions are small for the price (in our case an asada burrito $19 and quesa birria tacos $19, side beans $7). I ordered ahead, and went to pick up my order as soon as I received the text, food had been sitting there, was cold. People at the counter not helpful, just negative attitude. The condiment table (salsa, cilantro, onion, sour cream, salsas, jalapeños…) was depleted, there was only a little bit if salsa left, when I asked at the counter to refill the condiments we were told there was no more. So much for $19 tacos…Totally not worth it.
