Food was a phenomenal experience. Delicious pasta and fresh pizza. Everything was so fresh and fantastic. Service was great. We had outdoor seating, and personnel brought heaters without us asking. It was a perfect evening in La Jolla thanks to their fantastic hospitality.
A good choice when you're craving pizza, but want to be a little fancy. Lots of nice outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh evening air. The pizzas are quite filling (assuming you get one pizza per person). Polipo: Probably the first time I had an octopus dish that was refreshing. I'm used to whole charred tentacles that are full of richness, so usually delicious but not refreshing. My husband and I had the best date night at Isola. We had reservations, but we arrived early so we grabbed a seat at the bar. We ended up getting so comfortable there that when they offered us our table, we said we'd stay at the bar instead. The bartender was fantastic.
