“Great service, not the best looking location, but some pretty darn good food! I’m petty picky about my pad Thai and they made it just right. Location isn’t the best looking but that’s not what we fatties are here for right!!!? Highly recommend :)“
“Absolutely tasty food! This just went to my topmost Thai restaurant. Had a try of the Mango, Red and Green curries and loved them all but my best was the green curry. It was delightfully flavorsome and delicious. Generous portions and guilt-free!Great for our kids too so a big plus!“
“This was my first experience having Thai food, and I was not disappointed. I was greeted at entry and seated immediately. The staff was kind and friendly, and happy to answer any questions. The food was amazing and I will be back for more. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and healthy options; everything is served in large portions and at affordable prices.“
“Ordered homemade noodle soup with blood cubes, crispy fried rice, laos sausage, spicy papaya salad, crispy pork skin, beef laab, and spicy fried peppers. Best dishes are sausage, noodles, and beef laab. Everything in general was very good. Very unique, can tell it's traditional. Papaya salad has a weird taste, it's not bad but just not for me.“
“This is a review for their restaurant. They serve authentic Lao food and their beef laab, jerky, and jeow bong with sticky rice are addicting. Being Vietnamese, I wasn't a fan of their fish sauce vinaigrette that came with the banh cuon. It was too fruity for my taste, I had to throw my dish away as it ruined the dish for me. As for the kapeak sauce, it was waaaaay too salty, everyone else who tried it agreed. Not for us but maybe someone else who enjoys a lot of salt. The price for sticky rice is spretty steep since rice is super cheap to make. But I understand they need to make some coin. Everything else was great though.“
“I ordered the red curry and Tom kha soup because it's my favorite when I'm not feeling well. The dishes did not disappoint! They arrived fast and the price was tasty, too. Spicy level 1 is all you need, unless you are part dragon.“
“Love this place!!! When craving for authentic motherland food they have it all... my favorite dishes are the beef larb halal & half with the organ soup. Flavors are tasty and bold, if you wanna try something out of your comfort zone this is the place and won't disappoint.“
“The fried rice and cashew chicken were amazing. This will be my go to for fried rice in the area. However, the mango chicken was terrible. Both of us thought it tasted almost exactly like honey mustard and made me sick to my stomach with the syrup/mayo taste. I like sweet but this was unreal.I'm not sure if they changed the recipe because it looked lighter in color than pictures others posted or maybe messed up the ratio that day.“
“Try outside of your comfort zone and you’ll realize all the food in this place is bomb. The owners are so nice and polite, if you have questions about the menu, they provide honest feedback/suggestions. Small space, but perfect for take out so you can enjoy back at home! Serving sizes is perfect in their containers and for the price in my honest opinion.“
“Featured in the Michelin Guide for the past 3 years, we couldn’t not try Sovereign. On our first day we walked to the East Village in San Diego where Sovereign is located to check it out. I’m glad we did as it tuned out to be in a not very nice area in San Diego. Armed with this knowledge when visited we did so by Uber. When we arrived and we were sat in a booth, which I always like.We ordered….Thai cracking sticks.Northern Thai Spicy Sausage. I know the clue is in the name but these were extremely spicy. They had run out of the Golden Crispy Pork Belly so we had Hat Yai Fried Chicken with Tomato Chili Jam.It had the most amazing crispy skin like Peking duck but even better. The chicken was so tender. We also had Dry Turmeric Curry, which had a deliciously mild spice on the minced meat. All in all we enjoyed the food here, particularly the mains which were fantastic.“
