I love Mien Trung whole heartedly and no, I do not have any relation to the owners. I am so passionate about this restaurant, it is my one recommendation to everyone and will be my first meal out of a metaphorical prison and my last meal. When I have a birthday I eat Mien Trung. When I have a celebration- drivers license passing, exams passing, out of the hospital... you name it. Probably the most authentic Vietnamese restaurant I've been to thus far in San Diego!! Doesn't get any more authentic than it being located in a hole in a wall, cash only, and tv blasting Vietnamese soap operas!! The establishment is a clean mom and pop shop. Delicious Cash-Only Mom & Pop Viet Spot!! I'll be honest and say that both the Bun Bo Hue & Bun Rieu here are delicious, BUT I've also never had it before I came to this spot haha. The food is always the perfect portion so that I don't have leftovers. The Bun Rieu Oc is my favorite!
