“My favorite ever croissants. I’ve brought my entire (non vegan) family here one by one and they are just as obsessed as me.We got a cake once too and it was amazing. And I’m not even a cake girly. Also don’t miss the lemon bar ?Dietary restrictions: Vegan“
“These have got to be the best cookies I have ever had! I was visiting SD from out of town and found this place. I ended up making two trips because they were that good. Glad I was able to enjoy some great cookies and support a black owned business! And the portion size matches the price.“
“Pan del barrio is my fave bread in San Diego! All naturally leavened so it is better for you too! The country loaf is always freshly baked and still warm when I get it. Amanda is so kind and sweet and makes every effort to make her customers happy! Every time I’m in San Diego I get some delish baked goods. And don’t get get me started on her chocolate croissant, the BEST! I’ve also had the bolillos and they are very good. My mom also loved them! Do yourself as favor and try Pan del barrio you will love it!“
“I recently stopped by Christy's Donuts and picked up a dozen of their delicious donuts and I must say, I was blown away by the taste and freshness. Not only were the donuts and pastries incredibly delicious right off the bat, but they maintained their freshness even on the second day. It's rare to find baked goods that still taste amazing after sitting for a day, but Christy's Donuts truly delivered. Got 12 different kinds/flavors and had a hard time deciding which one to eat first. If you're looking for mouthwatering treats that stay fresh for days, Christy's Donuts is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!“
“When Mike Tyson was in his prime, he walked to the ring in black trunks and nothing else. No pomp, no glam, no bling. And he was the best.Wildwood Flour is the Mike Tyson of bakeries. No glam, no pomp, no bling. But the product is the best. Wildwood doesn't focus on mood lighting or fine embellishments (which the consumer ultimately pays for). Wildwood focuses on making great bread and great bakery products. And they succeed.Too many bakeries in San Diego load up the display case with seductive baked trinkets that are mass produced with artificial ingredients, which essentially amount to poison for the human body. Wildwood products are artisanally made with natural ingredients, infused with the consciousness that food has natural prana, i..e. healthy energy. This is the only bakery I know of in San Diego whose products will extend your life, not reduce it.“
“Crumbl made Thanksgiving so easy last year with their holiday cookies. I was able to give everybody what they wanted without me having to back 3-4 different pies/cakes. Definitely ordering Crumbl for future holidays & special occasions.“
“This store has a great variety of treats, clothes, meal toppers, and aromas for your fur babies. Location is very clean, reasonable in price, and staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely would come again and refer to friends and family!“
“Saw this place on social media and had to check it out. First impressions: the aesthetic is so pleasing to the eye. Parking isn’t the best. They offer macaroons and cute, unique desserts. Their menu consists of teas and coffees. I went for the miracle pink matcha iced and my cousin got the miracle pink matcha hot. Personally, I do not like matcha and was hesitant to try it but it was really good! I tried the hot and it wasn’t too sweet at all. Definitely made with love. Not to mention how beautiful the drinks looked. I also tried the Berrylicious dessert, but personally wasnt a fan of it. The other desserts are yummy! I can’t wait to go back!“
“I have purchased cakes at this fabulous bakery several times. Most recently, I purchased a half sheet cake for a good friend’s 70th birthday party. The caramel macadamia nut cake is unusual and fabulous. The whipped cream frosting is amazing. The cakes are simply beautiful. The cake I purchased was covered in orchids. It was a huge hit at the birthday party, including with the birthday girl. The service here is terrific and Janice will help you with any special requests. This is my go-to cake place.“
“We stayed nearby Sunnyboy boy during our visit to San Diego and decided to give the place a try one day. Wish we came sooner because the food is delicious! The biscuits and gravy were good but I’d definitely get the fried chicken and biscuits! It does get busy around lunch time but it’s worth the quick wait. The staff is also very nice which is a huge plus!“
“Sage French cakes are light and airy, so if that's your style, I recommend you try them. You can taste some enhanced flavoring in the cakes (artificial vs natural I'm not sure) which for the chocolate (elby) and tiramisu cakes, made it taste less good for me. I think their fruit cakes are good though. What makes them stand out is the right balance of sweetness, creaminess, and the very soft fluffy texture. The place is minimally decorated , so the ambience isn't the best. But I think most people who eat their cakes take them for to-go anyways.“
“I'm a fan. Came here after lunch to hit the sweet tooth, and loved everything about the spot. Got a little sample of a few things, and nothing disappointed. The Durian mochi was delicious, and i'll be back for it. Everything else was great, mochi was soft and bouncy, and nothing was overtly sweet. I'll be back!!“
“Uncle Tetsu has become a pinnacle in my family home . This is my one true cheesecake love! I was there in the grand opening , and tried it for the first time. Now here I am still going to this day. The quality is never lacking and you can tell that the workers, put so much love and effort in those cheesecakes. I hope they know how appreciative I am of them. Thank you Uncle Tetsu for such delicious food!“
“My go to place when I need vegan/GF pastries for work treats and gifts. Always a hit with them. Kindly greeted my first visit by one of the owners who gave me a complimentary birthday cake coffee - stupendous. Ambience is FABULOUS! Cute little cafe.“
“Highly recommend Drunk Confections!! My wife and I worked with Amelia for our wedding - she made both the cake (beautiful and amazing, we didn't share) and the individual mini cakes for our guests. Amelia was so wonderful to work with and understanding as our plans changed - which they did a lot, but I was always set on having her make the desserts (because they're the best). Grateful for her and for over ordering and having goodies left in the freezer ? Thank you Amelia!!“
“My husband and I would gain 100 pounds if we lived closer to the French Oven! Everything was excellent. I hear it is pretty crowded on the weekend. It's a good thing we are retired! Our friends said they have been picking up pre-made dinners on Fridays and have enjoyed them. Tables are outside and there are no heaters. Bundle up and go enjoy!“
“Hadn’t been to this location in years but stopped in yesterday for dessert. There was an issue with the computer system which held up the line for a bit, but the gentleman manning the register did a really great job managing everyone’s expectations and getting things moving again.Seems like management needs to invest in better IT/POS systems but other than that minor inconvenience this place never misses. One thing I particularly love about this business is they clearly use A+ ingredients in everything they make. That goes a long way these days when many businesses are cutting corners.“
“This little cafe made my day! I was tagging along with my boyfriend to his physical therapy appointment in case he needed my help, and upon seeing the cafe sign, I knew I was in for a treat...but after the appointment. I love me an iced mocha and I love trying new coffee places. The owner was super nice and super cool to chat with. Great personality. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our coffee drinks very much (he had a caramel macchiato), and we each had a yummy chocolate almond croissant. The place was neat and clean with a great vibe along with limited indoor counter seating looking out the window. We took our order home, but I'm sure we'll get to stay and enjoy our coffee and snacks there another time.“
“What a great French bakery in Little Italy! They have so many pastries and lunch options available here, as well as coffees and teas. I loved their Croifeuille (the flattened croissant with pastry cream between)! Inside is beautifully decorated. They only have a couple seats and it gets pretty busy so I recommend coming early if you can!“
“We were in OB for a long weekend and luckily this gem was just down the street! I think we ended up stopping in for multiple things every night. Everything was delicious but the cinnamon rolls were amazing!!!! You must stop in there for one Sunday morning. They are truly something special!“
“First time trying cakes from this bakery. I have heard of this place but have never been. A colleague picked up a couple of cakes for the office birthday which came out to $40 each. 1 cake can serve easily 8-10 ppl depending on how big a slice you cut. Most of my colleagues wanted small slices and we had a bunch of leftover. There are many cakes to choose and we ended up with chocolate ganache cake which is a cake with ganache filling in between layers. And also white chocolate strawberry filling layer cake. I'm a chocolate person so I LOVED the chocolate ganache. But the fave amongst the office was the white chocolate cake. It was very light and moist. You really can't go wrong with any sweets from here. There are a variety to choose from. Check business hours though since I believe they are limited.“
“The wedding cake is the most important factor for a wedding celebration and I am very proud to have the European Cake Gallery on my vendor list. I am very confident about referring them to my clients. The cakes are just delicious and the customer service is amazing. I get a lot of compliments from all my brides about the wedding cake and the amazing service they receive from the European Gallery, if I can give them six stars I would do.“
“I didn't get to check them out when they were a pop up but I'm glad I got to check the downtown location out! Was a bit scared of the parking situation but luckily found some metered street parking right in front. The inside is so cute with a nice aesthetic, good place to hang out or do some work. The matcha latte was really good with their ceremonial matcha and I only got to try a pastry from Relic Bageri who brings pastries every Thursday! Would love to come back and try some pastries or a canele.“
“Plain old simple donut shop. Very friendly and quick service. Ordered half a dozen $9.75 with tax. Donuts taste great like donuts should. Not sure what the hype is about though. Also not a very large selection to choose from. $10 minimum for card. Overall worth trying if in the area.“
“Small little shop with an ice cream shop also. Finally tasted a Key Lime Pie, more a lime posset on a great crust. There were many families entering, a very popular place.Parking: Just be flexable, remember, there is pie, or ice cream, when you arrive.“
“Wow! Have to say this place serve one of theeee best and yummiest cookies ever. I've tried various "popular" spots such as Levains cookies in NYC, Paderia in OC and Anthony's cookies in SF and I have to say this place is UP there! We tried the wonder which contains dark chocolate, coconut, walnut, and butterscotch, WOW amazing. Chewy and gooey. I'd be dreaming of this cookie for a while“
“The coffee sodas here are my new addiction - They're well crafted and they give me the effervescent feel of an energy drink while tasting like a gourmet espresso. The building is cool too, with a balcony that overlooks 30th St. The staff learned my name after a week and that showed a level of genuine service I don't see at most places. I'd give this spot 6 stars if I could and this has managed to become my favorite coffee house serving North Park/Normal Heights.“
“Picked up my order late last night to find a wonderful woman behind the counter. Ivory was amazing help, as I thought my order was already picked up for delivery and she reassured me that it was still in house. Got an amazing deal for signing up on their app. Paid for 4 cookies and got 12! She showed me the stickers and I had to get some! 10/10 will be back to the El Cajon blvd location!“
“The service was kind and thoughtful. The cafe was an absolute delight. It made me feel like I was back at a local cafe in Europe. Lattes were delicious. My husbands chocolate croissant looked amazing but it was unfortunately hard as a rock. ? one woman was making all lattes and orders so it took some time to receive the craft items. Worth the wait on the beverages!Would go again but maybe skip the croissant ??“
“Recommend for a refreshing stop for a pastry and drink. Good amount of seating available, including outside. Friendly staff!Ordered Orange Sugar bun & iced honey lavender oat milk latte. The flavor did sit at bottom of cup (no straws). The bun has such great flavor and texture. Would stop by again for a snack or breakfast. Does have bathroom.“
“I discovered Mya’s cookies at the Cardiff Farmers Market. I had the chocolate chip walnut, my sons each had a chocolate chip. WOW!! These are not ordinary cookies, they are extraordinary and so delicious!! I will certainly get more next weekend and plan to order by the dozen for special occasions.“
“Friendly people and fantastic coffee bundled up into an industrial-style cafe.Things you should know:I. PARKINGYou'll have to rely on good ol' street parking for this place. Can be difficult depending on the time of day.II. SERVICESociable and masters at their craft. Shout out to Eric for getting to know my name ~ it wasn't even needed for my order and just simply personalized the experience. On a side note, I noticed they also have merchandise here and a self-serve water station.III. QUALITYTheir cortado is pretty spot on ~ you should give it a try..!IV. CAPACITYFair amount of available indoor and outdoor seating for the late afternoon on a weekend.“
“This is one of our favorite spots in Little Italy. Everything from the quiche, sandwiches, croissants, muffins is delicious and fresh. The lattes never disappoint. The service is always excellent with friendly and helpful staff. Audrey is the owner and she always acknowledges us with a friendly welcome. I highly recommend this cafe.Dietary restrictions: Frost Me offers a ton of GF options and everything is delicious.“
“Cute little afternoon tea spot! The sandwiches were good and the scone was delicious. Top tray desserts were a little basic in my opinion. Soup was good, but it was lukewarm. Tea selection really good but one of our candles went out that was keeping it warm.“
“Finally... a place to "treat yourself" without the regrets. Picked up a Tiramisu cake for Easter and it was a hit. Who doesn't over do it on holiday meals and forces the desert because you've already over indulged? But this was SO DELICIOUS and did not leave you with a sugar hangover. You also will feel very welcome and appreciated when you are there. Take my money!“
“Hungry lu's is so good! I've been looking for good Italian sandwiches around San Diego for quite a while now. I'm so glad that I found this Italian sandwich shop. I've had their pastrami sandwich here and it was quite delicious. It had a lot of flavor and seemed like it was brined really well. Next time around I tried their Italian sandwich since it was an Italian sandwich bakery store. They did not disappoint. It was fantastic, there was a lot of meat in the sandwich which I appreciate and the bread was nice and toasted. These two are some of my favorite sandwiches in San Diego. Hungry lu's uses a lot of fresh ingredients in their sandwiches and it shows. They gave me such a cool old school Italian sandwich shop vibe and I absolutely love it. I've gotten sandwiches for a lot of friends and family and they all enjoyed it. My boyfriend says hungry lu's every time I ask someone kind of sandwich she wants. I don't blame him“
“Marvelous, yes, they are! The muffins are delectably delicious. We stopped in just after opening and there were only 4 varieties available that early. Not to worry - the pumpkin and the blueberry were both warm from the oven, perfectly spiced, and unforgettably tasty. I'd stop back by here anytime for a nice morning bit of YUM.“
“I just went by to see any new seasonal flavors that they had for this time of year, with my host student. Had an amazing interaction with Marissa; she provided excellent service. Even though we were initially just planning to pass through to see flavor options, we ended up getting two little Bundt cakes because of Marissa. In conversation, we ended up connecting over paths crossed! Marissa was so sweet, very kind … we will be coming back because of her. Plus… THE CAKES WERE AMAZING. We got snickerdoodle and confetti, basic but so so delicious.“
“I couldn't find Rosca bread anywhere right before the day of the Three Wise Men. I found this place in the evening just driving around looking for a bakery in the area. There was plenty of parking along the street when I arrived. Upon entering, the bakery had a wonderful fresh baked smell. Also, I noticed the establishment was clean and well maintained. It looked like it was a family operation. Customer services was great! They greeted me and quickly got me what I wanted: Rosca. I'll be back for more bread soon. Bu the way, the bread was crazy good. I recommend it.“
“Went on a limb to try a new coffee shop and got the molasses apple pie as well as the sausage burrito. The burrito was okay but average, but the coffee was great. We did have to wait a bit as the line was rather long and only one staff member working but the lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful as I was indecisive on what I wanted.“
“This place is a true blast from the past, like stepping into a time machine. The service is outstanding, and the food is absolutely amazing! You can't go wrong with their cabbage roll and Reuben sandwich—they're a must-try! And be sure not to miss out on visiting the bakery too.“
“The curry pastry, Vietnamese meat pie, and bbq pork bun are all super tasty!! Delicious fillings with the perfect ratio to bun/pastry. I'll definitely be back to try other items, especially the ones on the sweeter side! Note: 3% charge on credit card charges“
“A must visit Italian Store in San Diego, with a variety of Italian sauces, a range of fine wines and alcohol drinks. They have ice cream corner, a deli sandwiches and Italian food as well. The store is clean and is worth your time and money. Love this store. If are looking for a Vegan Chocolate then, this is your store, love it ??“
“Picked up a cheesecake Saturday. It looked and tasted absolutely perfect! The entire family raved about it. So rich and moist! My skinny, picky eater, husband had two huge slices. The owner was so accommodating and sweet. We love this place. For his birthday, my grandson chose their cinnamon rolls as his cake. They were delicious.“
“We came for the first time in 2015, eclair was very delicious. My sister and I decided to have breakfast at Partfait yesterday. Egg benedict was a little salty but delicious. It was lighter and more delicious when made with a croissant. My favorite this time was Nutella Cruffin. If you like Nutella, you should definitely try it. Of course, I will go again at the first opportunity.“
“The wedding cake I ordered from cupCAKES a la Yola was absolutely beautiful! My husband and I loved it and our guests did too. It was so nicely done, cut very neatly, and tasted great! Delivery was right on time, and we were so happy with it. We got the 8" cake since we had a very small wedding, and it was the perfect size. All of their cupcake flavors are delicious too. Highly recommend cupCAKES a la Yola!“
“Wow! I've never had such a pleasant cheesecake. The calm atmosphere of the store, and the wonderful service from the fine folks at the Incredible Cheesecake Company seriously made my birthday. I got the ube cheesecake and a white mocha espresso. I was only going to have a bite of the cheesecake and save it, but it was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. Thank you so much to the employees here for the warm service and wonderful food. I can't wait to come back!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options, no meat. Dairy and eggs in most items, but soy options available for drinks.Parking: 30 minute parking right outside the door. Easy to walk to from residential street parking.“
“This is the 4th Bakery we visited today . We have heard Prager Brothers Artisan bread before just didn't have a chance to drive by . 2 gentleman greeted us when we came in . Not much of selection when we came because we came late . We order a few like their Olive Flatbread , Danish pastry , Savory scone . Theres no table inside so this bakery only do order to go . We found one table outside and thats it . My wife Sat at the table we found and started to try the food . I would say among the 3 item we tried, we like the Olive Flatbread the most, very fresh , savory , good size for the price , very tasty . Not much of selection of the drinks yet so we just ordered Starbucks right across the Bakery . Food was ok , and while eating we saw a lot of customers going in and out with Bags of breads or Baguette. I will try this place again to see what else they had baked in the early morning they opened .“
“Best breakfast of 2024. The duck and truffle omelette is definitely catapulted my cholesterol levels to the moon but it was worth it. It was greasy due to the truffle oil and eggs but absolutely delicious. The restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating. Music was on point and staff was energetic. A great spot for Sunday brunch“
