Went here for Persian new year, a.k.a. Nowruz, to help mend the distance from my family. Being a vegan, I was reluctant to go to a Persian restaurant. But boy was I proven wrong. They had so many options for us!We had delicious impossible koobideh kebab with rice, gheymeh on tahdig, dolmeh, salad shirazi and kashkeh bademjoon (without yogurt). I would give them 5 stars because the food is very good except for two reasons: 1) they are a little pricey 2) they serve they're food on metal trays. Why is that a bad thing? Because the metal acts as a heat sink and by the time you are eating the second half of your food, your food cold, cold enough that the juices on the meats are turning pasty white. Let me start be saying, I am vegan. I came in for a Sharazi salad, which is fresh and delicious. While placing my order a mentioned how a used to love fesenjoon, and miss that now . He let me know I could still order the dish, without meat, and enjoy the luscious pomegranate and walnut sauce over rice! I took him up on that offer, though I'm not sure that was shown on the menu. I am not disappointed. Thank you Orchid Persian Cuisine!!!
