Went there over a weekend for a private party.The staff is very good, courteous and friendly. The bartender suggested a mocktails and it was truly amazing.Will not comment on the food, as I only tried their Mediterranean platter and cheese pasta and that does not represent the whole menu. Both were pretty amazing though.A really nice place with a good ambience and vibe for birthday parties.
The business districts north of La Jolla have really expanded and created such vibrant spaces for restaurants and food spots. They can be hole-in-the-walls but offer the best speciality of whatever they're about. Park commons is built beautifully, with its high ceilings, and colorful walls. Tried Park Commons on a warm February Friday, just after 12. The main hall was packed with people, but my lunch companion and I were able to place our order at the kiosk and easily find a table outdoors rather quickly.
