“This is not a review about the place, but a review about a person that works here. His Name is Raz and let me tell you that this guy will go above and beyond for you. My wife and I were visiting the coffee place next door and lost our keys. We thought maybe we had lost them in the parking lot so we went next door to see of maybe somebody that visited the place next door had turned them in , that's when we met Raz. If the owner personally knows Raz just know that he went above and beyond to try and help us and we hope that if there is some type of employee compensation for his actions because his care, time, and compassion he displayed made our unfortunate situation go alot easier. We are visiting from out of town and I had my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Eventually we found our keys but as mentioned before if it wasn't for Raz our situation would have felt worst“
“Very popular and well loved fine dining but casual Little Italy institution. Beautiful expansive horseshoe bar. Of the four of us, I was the only critic of the food. The ingredients are top-notch, but my salad was too acidic. My braised beef cheeks, a generous portion, were oddly crisped but tender on the inside. The broth was, surprise, acidic. Previously, I had the Branzino wrapped in spec (bacon), which was too salty in that it obliterated the taste of the branzino. Then again, everyone else enjoyed their meals.“
“My friend and I went here yesterday for their new brunch service and it was really great! The food was excellent (we had the fruit w/ mascarpone and I had the breakfast sandwich w/ potatoes) and the flavors were perfect. The decor was really cool and everyone that worked there was really lovely. I had no idea what to expect since we kind of found this place by chance, but I highly recommend it. It is in a bit of a random location, but don't be dissuaded by that. As an extra bonus, they have those amazing Japanese toilets in the bathroom, so don't skip that haha.“

The baba ghanoush and falafel were INCREDIBLE, even by comparison to dishes I've had while travelling in the middle east. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego! “Portuguese inspired coffee shop with a pleasant outdoor space. Their lattes are hit or half-hit, depends on who your barista is. Their tarts are amazing. And their vibe is excellent. The loaves of sourdough they sell are made by a local baker. I wanted to love it, partially bc I love the hype, partially bc it was like $15, but honestly it was just okay. Prager Bros is still light years ahead.... Still, the place is fun, good quality, and adds a lot to the neighborhood.“

“I came here for a early dinner with my Mom yesterday and we were blown away. The quality of the food here is impeccable, you can tell all of the ingredients are fresh. My mom loved her lemon chicken and I loved my veggie kabobs, as well as the hummus and pita bread. The employee at the register was very kind and helpful as well. “Satisfying home cooked Lebanese cooking! I’ve tried a lot of places so I can happily say this place is now one of my favorites. No frills, no upscale pretentious vibes, just good ol’ delicious food served quickly. Looks like it was ran by 2 guys, one cooking and one taking orders. It’s a smaller joint that has capacity for maybe up to 18 diners. Intimate setting, simple set up but ridiculously delicious and genuine food. Their lentil soup is something I dream about occasionally. I ordered the chicken tawook bowl since I wasn’t that hungry and it HIT THE SPOT. Hummus was spot on, too. I’m excited for when I go downtown again so I can indulge and try something else on the menu. Everything I got I thoroughly enjoyed. Even the tea! “Ordered a shawarma, one of the most delicious one i have had in San Diego. They make the Sajj bread in store which makes all the difference. First bite into Shawarama and you notice it. Also the Shawarama is quite large and fulfilling. I also tried their zaatar Mana'ish, would recommend getting some yogurt or hummus with it. They have a lot of options on the menu which can be overwhelming at first but read through the description and try a dish.“
“This is a new Afghan restaurant in the Claremont Mesa area. They are both a grocery store and a restaurant put together as one. They have a wide variety of Afghan dishes. So far I have tried the Mantu - Afghan dumplings with meat sauce , garlic , green onions and yoghurt. I also tried the chicken kabob - very good boneless pieces of chicken bbq with rice mixed with raisins, carrots , nuts and spices. So far this is a great restaurant and I will definitely come back.“

“4.5 stars. This is a great fusion of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine. On a Sat afternoon, it wasn't too busy but if the parking lot in front of it is packed, parking could be a problem.I got 3 Shack tacos with gyro, chicken shawarma and the falafel, the shawarma wrap with their spiciest sauces, and a bunch of toppings including the jalapenos, and the side of falafel.The tacos were the best of them all - falafel then gyro then chicken shawarma. The gyro was a little too salty for my liking but the chicken shawarma didn't have enough spice on it, so that's why I preferred the gyro to the shawarma. The falafel was easily the best of them all as the falafel was soft and crunchy and actually complimented the tabouli salad, feta and the tzatziki sauce. The tacos are corn tortillas but they feel a little more like rotis.The wrap was very filling. It wasn't as spicy as I would've liked despite choosing the spiciest sauces and the jalapenos. The side of falafel was very tasty. The falafel wasn't too dry but not too oily.I had initially decided to give them 5 stars. However, I had to downgrade to 4.5 stars because the tortilla and the wrap got really soggy very quickly. So, they fell apart more quickly than I would've liked. The salty gyro and not so spicy chicken shawarma were my other reasons.I loved my whole experience and I will definitely be back to eat more of your shack tacos for sure!“

“My friend is a regular at this place and finally I decided to try it for myself. We went here around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night, they close at 10:00.We ordered two breakfast Gyros with a side of fries. Apparently, this is on their secret menu, and I highly recommend it! If you love any type of breakfast foods it's similar to breakfast burrito but with gyro. Jam packed with flavor. Made fresh to order.Also, the fries are perfectly salted, crunchy, and soft.It was a great meal. I live right around the corner, so I definitely will be returning customer.“

I usually drive to San Diego to eat mediterranean food because there isn't many options in CV. But now that I found this place, it will definitely be my go to. The meat is flavorful, the pita bread is fluffy, and the tabouli tastes fresh! There's not a long wait time and the service is nice. My only complaint is that I wish they gave more tabouli. Nonetheless, this place is delicious and I recommend getting their garlic sauce too to top off your meal. I will for sure be going more often and trying more things on the menu!“
“Absolutely loved my lunch here! I ordered the mahi mahi wrap which came with perfectly grilled, moist mahi mahi, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, lettuce with a chipotle sauce. The pita bread was soft and chewy and was the perfect vehicle to all the wonderful goodness inside. I ordered a side of fresh fries and they were perfectly cooked and crispy. I asked for a side of ranch to accompany the meal. They have an area with complimentary pickled jalapeños, red spicy salsa, grilled peppers, and ketchup. “This is my go-to place to bring my large Book Club.The patio saved us during the pandemic and continues to do so... it is large, covered and has heaters.The food is consistently ok/good with choices for every budget and many dietary options. Not fabulous, but for the price and convenience of counter/fast service, its a solid option. Plus, their loyalty app offers good deals. Wish they'd bring back shrimp though!I wish they had a warm beverage option... coffee, tea, etc. All the drinks are cold.The service and convenience of the best part. Ordering ahead online or in the app means almost no waiting, but even ordering at the counter is pretty swift. The staff is always helpful, friendly and goes out of their way for us. They're really nice to check on us throughout the evening, fix any (rare) issues, let us linger a while and clean up/rearrange tables etc after we leave.The location is good, the restrooms and restaurant always clean and there is always a lot of easy, free parking.Only thing is, sometimes the music is very loud and depending on the staff member they might not always turn it down for you.Big shout out to many of the staff members, namely Ytzul.Parking: Lots of free, close parking in the attached lot. It is a strip mall and you can park very close to the restaurant. Dedicated curb-side pick up spots too.“

I organized a dinner party for my parents 30th anniversary and the most important thing for me was for the food to be nothing less than perfection as my parents are real foodies. Luckily Foodiz kitchen went above and beyond to work on the perfect menu with me. Oren and Ben were so sweet and patient with my never ending requests and changes and the end result was phenomenal! All the guests were amazed by the delicious and beautiful dinner, it was absolutely perfect and I could not recommend them enough!“

Overall, it felt just a little overpriced and the service staff seemed to be trying to sell us the expensive stuff. 20% gratuity and 4% living surcharge is added and they were very clear about it (which I appreciate). It is somewhere between a high end restaurant and a fine dining place. I would definitely want to go again just to taste the Aleppo chicken and Dolmas.“
