Secret Sister is our favorite bakery on this side of town. Everything is freshly baked, with unique and experimental flavors. Their baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, slices of quiche, and cakes are decadent and always taste so fresh. Hats off to this place. The breads and baked goods are so deluxe. The staff is friendly and efficient. They sell sourdough starter which seems to be fairly difficult to acquire. I’ve made some amazing items from their starter and can’t wait to do more.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect loaf of sourdough bread in San Diego. While I’m not sure I have found exactly what I want, out of all the “name” bakeries I have tried Secret Sister makes the best loaf of bread out of the lot. I can’t speak for any of their food and/or drinks, but it’s clear to me they care about quality, and that makes a difference in my book.
