“A great atmosphere, I enjoyed the games on TV, it was Tequila Tuesday which was just fine by me, and the food was delicious! Absolutely a great time, I'm really glad that I went there for dinner. The server was fast, kind, and explained the menu to me. They only have Teramasu and 2 scoops of ice cream with liquor, not much of a desert place, but there was a lot around for sweets. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here with more people. On the left was the Blue Cheese Burger, and on the right was the Pastrami Jalapeño Burger. Their Chipotle Mayo was smokey to the taste, which was excellent.“

“Saw a regular get kicked out today for making a woman feel uncomfortable and refusing to apologize when the Bartender asked him to and after the woman informed the regular that he made her feel uncomfortable (he touched her inappropriately, I saw it, a gracious apology was warranted). Good people work at this bar, I’ll be back.“

“Looking for the ultimate empenada experience in the valley? Look no further than Johnny Pacifics! Their lunch special is a steal at $15.95, including 2 empanadas of your choice, a drink, and either French fries or salad. I opted for half and half to mix things up, which was absolutely delicious. The meal was ready lightning fast, piping hot, and freshly made just for me. It was so good that I couldn't finish it all and had to save some for dinner.They offer more than just amazing lunch specials - their a la carte options are also good! Choose from an array of different types of empanadas for only $4.85 each or grab a dozen for $48.95. “Listen. I've been going here a long time. You could call me a fan boy. None of that matters, though. Are you a nerd? Everything about this place is nerdy, in the truest sense of the word. Enjoy eats made by a chef who is nerdy about food. Drink cocktails and beer curated by people who are nerdy about alcohol. Do you like board games and e-sports? Are you sick of pop culture savvy places wearing "nerdiness" as a costume or prop without understanding what makes us nerds tick? Come to Guildhall. These are your people. This is home.“

“Karaoke bar on Saturday nights. Valley mature crowd, mixed nationalities diverse age range. The environment and atmosphere is better than most reseda area bars, it’s still not a hip or upscale vibe. It’s great for karaoke since there’s at least 3 screens in different directions to read when singing. Also the Mike is a good volume and filtered enough with the background vocals that everyone sounds decent enough to enjoy. Didn’t have any good but didn’t want to down rate for something I didn’t try. My drink only cost $7 which was oddly cheap. I didn’t see a Parking lot so parked on the street. Waiters were ok. Overall I give it a 4 star,“

the Attic Bar • $$
14633 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks - 9.02 miles

“UPDATE: knocking it down to 4 stars. After looking at my receipt, I see they put a 20% large party service charge on the bill without letting me know! We were not all seated together, all ordered at different times from the bar and I only had mine and one other person’s drinks on my tab. If you’re going to add this charge, you should at least let us know as I ended up tipping additional having no idea.Great spot! We had a group of about 10 on a Friday night after dinner and it was pretty busy but we were all able to find a place to sit after awhile. The drinks were really good, the bartenders are really nice and knowledgeable. It was raining so we didn’t get to see the patio but definitely plan on going back! We also ordered the spicy tots and I highly recommend!!!“

“Fantastic bar food and draught beer list. Everything we tried has been delicious. Highly recommend the buffalo wings, the fish and chips, and the biscuits. Tap list is extensive and they offer flights! The outdoor space is expansive and dog-friendly. Easy to bring young children in the outdoor space. Would be a cool place to catch a game, with multiple screens inside at the bar.“

“The bad: They ask what side you want but don't tell you it's an extra charge. That was a little upsetting. They made it sound like the sandwich came with a side. The place was super good! Got the Liars fuego steak melt and it didn't disappoint. Perfect level of spicy. Will definitely get again. Also go the buffalo wings. Super good. We will be back.“

“I picked this spot to have a catch up with an industry friend. It was absolutely perfect for this dinner. The atmosphere is perfect. Dimly lit but not exclusively for a date spot. I had the Sherman burger which was good, nothing to write home about. I do want to mention that their fries were spectacular. I think they put a hint of lemon on them which I hadn’t tried before. It added an amazing kick to it. They only lost one star on service because our waters were left unfilled for a majority of the meal, which in my opinion is an essential part of feeling waited on. I would come back again to try different items. Prices were a little steep, but that seems to be the trend in LA restaurants lately and im not sure it’s their fault.“

“I ran into this place for a late-night eat, and the atmosphere was charming. I like the feel of this place. I got a tri-tip sandwich, which was good, and the bun was funky, which I enjoyed. My friend got a pot pie made differently than you'd expect. I appreciated their take on the food. My only problem was that the drinks were watered down so much that I told them to give them to me on the Rocks. Because this is just juice, you are charging me 20 bucks for, LOL. Overall, if you and the Sherman Oaks Studio City area, it's worth a shot.“

Pepper and Pint Tavern Gastropubs •
@jinky's, 4000 Colfax Ave, Studio City - 10.15 miles

“Pepper and Pint is a hidden gem in the studio city area! The same owner of Jinky's, Alan, created this tavern concept. Jinky's cafe turns into an amazing tavern at 3pm with delicious drinks and Indian inspired tavern fusion. You can already tell by the plating that the food is incredible. The service is fast and super responsive!The ambiance could be worked on as it still feels like Jinky's but I think they're working on that. I heard they were going to start doing live jazz music soon so be on the lookout for that.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 3.5/5Next time you're in the area check them out!“

“Okay this is going to be a long review1-beautiful atmosphere, well done ✅2-wonderful friendly staff, well done ✅3-as a very first time customer i did my research and read many reviews before fully committing to trying out this restaurant3B- I agree with everyone who shared their opinion of “leaving here hungry”3C- the food is absolutely delicious BUT the price ratio and plate proportions are off4- have you ever heard of Grandville4B- this restaurant could be Grandville’s twin, you are so close and yet just not there5- the advertised drink menu is so short and limited but in truth the bar can make many more traditional cocktails you just have to ask- the menu should show more of these options6- overall I believe this restaurant will survive but as a business can improve and dig deeper into fully servicing a bigger presentation of the community successful vs becoming a limited community customer pleaser7- i am going to put 5 stars but i am wishing i could give 4.5 stars- really wish google offered half star options“

“Taps is a decent pub, mostly due to the attentive service I received. I ordered Cali Creamin’ on Nitro but they only had enough to fill 75% of a pint glass so the bartender gave it to me for happy hour price—still wasn’t worth it since it was flat and flavorless. The fries looked old and were pretty stale. Meh ??‍♀️“

Its like they demanded ketchup or something, and that is not going to happen for me.The staff was super friendly, but that's a LOT of money to sit at a bar and get so little.I can see coming in to get a couple beers in the future, but I don't see myself eating here even occasionally.“
