“We went in looking for Moriscos spot to eat on a Saturday afternoon.. I guess before it was called something else but now it called shy surf and turf! Honestly Carlos gave us really good customer service the food was really good the place was nice clean .. can't complain everything we got was good ..“
“The service was top notch, all of our servers were informative about the food and friendly. The atmosphere is dark line and good speakeasy should be with a live instrumental trio, but you could still hold a conversation with your date without yelling. The food was uneven, the starters (buns and tiger prawns) were incredible, the dessert (cookies and cream) was surprisingly full of flavor and delicious. The wagyu steak was good but not melt in your mouth amazing, which is what I want when I get a steak at a restaurant. The pork belly was the most bland item we had, but my husband still enjoyed eating it. Overall a great place for drinks and small bites.“
“The food was excellent. The service was very spotty; we got a very sparse serving of bread with no butter or olive oil until we had to ask for it! When we wanted more bread it took 20 minutes to get it. The place is very noisy and hard to hear people next to you. Also, they do not take cash, which was not mentioned until we got our bill. 0j“
“Most excellent experience and food was perfect. We had the duck eggrolls and the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms as starters, both had a delish specialty drink. I had the house burger with 3 different meats ground in including wagyu. Was done perfectly med rare. No room for dessert this time. Will def go back. Service was nice, we sat at the bar. All in all a great experience.“
“3rd visit - Obsessed! Innovate cuisine and meticulous cocktails at the level everywhere else wishes they could. Negroni - All time fav because the bitter punches hard (sometimes too hard). This is the best I've had! Bitter and sweet balance exquisitely - not brusque. Crispy Potatos - Well done, but makes you wonder if size is right. Close to being a french fry - but large! Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. Martini - A must every visit! I love olives, but tried lemon this time and loved how big of a difference it made! Excited to try gibson/onion next!“
“My favorite spot in Sherman Oaks! Tom is the greatest! I love me some Nate T makes amazing Drinks and severs it with a smile. This is a great place for fun, food and TopTier service! I could mention so many things about this place and I will leave you with this go and Thank me later. ??“
“This may be my new favorite tiki/sports bar! What a combo and I am here for it! I am really not sure what this bad it trying to do, but I hope they stick around.Anthony and the other bartenders are great! The drinks are tasty!! Those dumplings though... Who would have thought they would be that good? Glad I tried them! Will be trying more of them!!They have plenty of TVs. They are all working and they have sound!“
“This is an absolutely wonderful place…warm, inviting and friendly! I have been on several occasions and each time the food has been delicious and the service was always promo and attentive! But for me, the most important part of my experience was the people. The staff truly makes this a great place to be.“
“I’m not sure how this place doesn’t have 5 stars?!? It’s amazing.First, the ambience is wonderful. Clean, modern, but still warm and inviting. The food is fantastic. My husband and I have been there more than 10 times and behave tried almost everything on the menu. I can’t think of one dish that wasn’t amazing! Barbacoa tacos are my husbands fave. I love the yellowtail mango dish. The cilantro rice is deeelish! The staff and service is second to none. The GM Alex leads by example. Is always upbeat and high energy. Everyone is friendly and warm! Love it!“
“This spot is so iconic. Cocktails are divine, including some secret menu drinks. Quail eggs, burrata, oysters always on point, and Gluten free pasta options make my night!Don’t sleep on dessert. The Eaton Mess is my forever favorite.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options.Parking: This is a popular part of town, so I always valet. Price is reasonable and so much better than circling for a meter.“
“If you have kids and want to find a place to eat and have entertainment for them, this place is perfect. We've taken our kid a few times and she's always entertained with all the lights and music and the food options for her. I've also gone for date nights and sat at the bar which is a great experience.Parking: Quite a number of spots right in front and across the street.Kid-friendliness: I cannot stress how perfect this place is to take kids.“
“Fancy Free! There simple dialed in menu at the bar makes selections easy and clean. Love the aesthetics of the place, it definitely carried in to our mixed drinks. We went with the Pink Flamingo paired with El Tequileno. Great service, great drinks. It's a once stop shop for quality drinks. The block ice and the garnish were the final touches on the drink. It's a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for. I think the end user experience is worth it. I'm no mixologist but I felt like one when making it. I would definitely come back again to try another combo package. They also have a nice selection of craft drinks in the refrigerator.“
“Our server Patty was upbeat! Rock vibe-fun spot with Mexican decor. They offer $5 happy hour beers 3-5 pm. Had the mole chicken enchiladas. So tasty! I could tell the chef really makes an effort. That matters to me a lot these days. Because so many don’t! Give it a try!Parking: Was a weekday dinner meal. Not crowded and right off the 5 fwy exit in Sunland.“
“Obsessed with the vibe of this place! It is relatively new and feels that way for sure. The lighting is moody and aesthetic and the whole dining layout is visually interesting. I like how there are also tables of all sizes to accommodate various parties. If you have been to Granville in Burbank which is nice already, this location feels classier and fancier. The food (especially the artisan bread and butter) is delicious. I appreciated how easily customizable the meals were. I swapped brussel sprouts with my steak for a salad and my friend swapped one of her sides as well with no grief. They also have a nice happy hour menu, not a lot of variety there but reasonable price cuts. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the service was a little slow but everyone was friendly and helpful. It isn’t a huge restaurant because although it is two stories, the second floor has a huge opening to enjoy the alcohol/light feature. My party made a reservation and it worked out great. We got there early and got drinks at the bar until our table was ready and easily relocated. If you want to go out to a fun and tasty spot, I recommend this place!Parking: Valet is $8 - otherwise you have to look for street parking and hope for the best.“
“I came here in February. I had dinner with my best friend and she drove me back to my other best friend’s home, where I was staying, so we stopped here for drinks. I had the lychee luau and I remember it fondly seven months later. It was Valentine’s Day, and the bar was busy—I am under the impression that the holiday has nothing to do with that. And while the bar was busy, the vibes were great. Everyone was in a good mood. I talked to strangers, which I’m not usually open to, and the bartenders were attentive, in spite of all they had to do.My friend just had a first date here and had a great time, too.I hope I see Tiki No again, soon.“
“Nice place food ok not wow . Or justify the price. I don't think the variety to pick from is that big. It's ok place to go with some friends after work for a drink and a small meal . The parking is ok . I eat the salmon with salad .“
“AH-MAZING!The food and drinks and atmosphere are all stellar! The servers are kind and on it! Shout out to Anton and Josh who provided me and my wife with the most amazing experience. Don’t walk! RUN to this place. You will want to come again and again!“
“Didn't want to be stuck in traffic for over 2.5 hrs to get home, so I decided to come here and grab a drink, watch some games, and let the traffic die down. They have minimal parking on the street but a large parking lot to the back. I was the first one here for at least an hour, which was really nice. They got televisions all over the place. So no matter where you sit, you get a good view of the game. They got some upbeat music playing loudly over the speakers. Some real head bangers!! Got me tapping my foot and bobbing my head!! It's somewhat dark, but well lit with all the neon signs and tvs. The booths were also really comfy. The waitress I had was amazing. Super nice. Checked on me frequently, since I was the only one there for a while. Very conversational. Great at small talk, so thanks. Knew the menu well. They have daily happy hours of beers, some food. And being a Tuesday, it was taco Tuesday!!!! Tacos were $2.50 each. I ordered one of each and they came out early quick. Feels like the ones you get right off the streets of LA (in a good way). Lots of protein. Packed with toppings. Double tortillas. More sauce on the side. They were all really good!! I had a couple of their beers. Had one on tap, an IPA, as well as another one in a bottle. Vibes here are really cool. It was nice just to sit back, kind of put my feet up and chill. Everyone was super nice. Upon request they can turn on the volume of any of the games. Unfortunately, someone requested the soccer game to be played on blast. Which killed the music. But I had been there a good 1.5 hrs by then, and I guess that was my cue to leave. And it only took an hr and 10 min to get home, mission accomplished!!“
“Food is good. Atmosphere is great ? But the parking is something else. It's very small and if there's no parking whatsoever you'd have to park somewhere else and it's not easy to find parking there at all. This restaurant is very pricey. A little expensive for someone/families who are on a budget.“
“This place is excellent for a date or family celebration. Starting with how they treat you... I say like a queen. It is noted that the calballeros took courses in hôtellerie and tourism. My husband and I feel very tired. And you can eat until you burst!“
“The food here is unmatched. The best tacos and salsa around by far. The service? Not super amazing, but it made for a more intentional dining experience, and I don't mind that. Truly though, the steak tacos set a new bar for me. Amazing work in the kitchen. Great cocktails too!“
“Love the trivia night on Tuesdays! It starts at 8pm but make sure to arrive early or it’s unlikely to get your group seated.I also appreciate the “order your own” QR code ordering system. Drinks and food come up fast and easy to pay for yourself.Parking is easy since it’s located in a big plaza.“
“Love this place so much. Drinks are good, food is good, service is fine, atmosphere is wonderful and they have a lot of great events. Solid place I visit regularly. Like everything, it's quite pricey for what you get. Still, a regular go-to for me, especially if I have out of town guests.“
“This is a high-end steakhouse that is very pricey but well worth it. The food is incredibly flavorful and masterfully cooked. Staff is very knowledgeable and well trained. They have a vast array of wines and drinks as well as a large dinner menu.“
“Looking forward to coming here again to try different items on their unique menu. The salad was delicious and the branzino was delicious as well. The plating was lovely as well. We added chicken to the salad for more protein and the chicken breast was quite tender and delicious! They ran out of the honey cake or I would have tried that but the panna cotta was a good replacement. Great friendly service, and it felt nice and spacious with a good amount of parking as well. Rather bright setting with large windows. Didn't expect this place to be such a hit!“
“Super delicious Omakase experience! I'd definitely like to go back on a week night for a few rolls. We did a double date here the other night and there was a mixup with our order and we waited a long time but they made it right. I definitely recommend the Omakase experience! My favorite was the nigiri and sashimi. Super fresh and all the details on top of the fish were delicious. Creamy caviar at one point ! This place is in a busy area, so parking is hard, get there early! I appreciate the upscale vibe in the midst of a lot of restaurants, its stands apart!“
“I don't think we could have had a more perfect experience at The Rendition Room for date night. It really had everything, from a secretive and fun atmosphere, a fantastic host/waiter/personality guiding us through it all, super-delicious cocktails, and great vegetarian options from Vitello's menu. We've been to a few speakeasies around town (and, heck, around other towns too.) How fun is it to discover a secret door and find yourself tucked away in a room one can only imagine no one else knows about?Scott is the ultimate host, fast, detailed and so adept at preparing cocktails and making it a personal experience. It's his world...and it's a nice one to visit.I had the Doctor's Orders Cocktail - mixed perfectly...smokey, scotch, and sweet. it made me very happy. My wife thought her Mayan Skies (tequila-based with mango and more) was also pretty and tasty. We were happy to have the full Vitello's menu at our disposal, especially with thoughtful vegetarian/plant-based options on it. I had the Vegan Porcini Risotto...I'm not vegan and would have been perfectly happy to have regular cheese on this, but it was still full of flavor and a good-sized portion. My wife had the Hail Caeser salad with vegan chicken. The "chicken" was nicely cooked and led to a hearty meal for her. We're one drink-a-night kind of people so we couldn't dwell there and try more...but our experience, especially with the cocktails and Scott's superb hostmanship, has us eager to come back.“
“I made a reservation 15 minutes prior to our arrival. We walked in the door and the hostess called me by name! Our server was Chelsea and she was awesome. She made suggestions, described the extensive martini menu, and was on spot with her anticipation. Service was 10/10 and the old school NY style Italian restaurant vibe was a “
“I saw some comments about “not great food” and absolutely disagree with them! Among great cocktails and lots of draft beer variations they have very delicious food - we got artichoke deep and blue cheese burger - all was super delicious! They have a patio too for big crowds. Will come back for sure!“
“They have a very nice menu and a very nice drink menu. The place is cool with good food and a lot of fun. I would highly recommend the French dip!! Delicious!!Also, their mocktail selection is out of this world. My husband had a White Linen that he loved. I had wine!I can't even say enough about the Lemon Bomb Dessert. It is a MUST. If you must, skip the food and go straight for The Bomb!Yummy!!!“
“Listen. I've been going here a long time. You could call me a fan boy. None of that matters, though. Are you a nerd? Everything about this place is nerdy, in the truest sense of the word. Enjoy eats made by a chef who is nerdy about food. Drink cocktails and beer curated by people who are nerdy about alcohol. Do you like board games and e-sports? Are you sick of pop culture savvy places wearing "nerdiness" as a costume or prop without understanding what makes us nerds tick? Come to Guildhall. These are your people. This is home.“
“UPDATE: knocking it down to 4 stars. After looking at my receipt, I see they put a 20% large party service charge on the bill without letting me know! We were not all seated together, all ordered at different times from the bar and I only had mine and one other person’s drinks on my tab. If you’re going to add this charge, you should at least let us know as I ended up tipping additional having no idea.Great spot! We had a group of about 10 on a Friday night after dinner and it was pretty busy but we were all able to find a place to sit after awhile. The drinks were really good, the bartenders are really nice and knowledgeable. It was raining so we didn’t get to see the patio but definitely plan on going back! We also ordered the spicy tots and I highly recommend!!!“
“One thing I love about Granville is the intimate setting. It is definitely upscale and welcoming. It was packed when I got there. But that did not take away from the great service I received. Omar & Jennifer were amazing. I ordered the sautéed spinach and spicy shrimp pasta. It was pretty good. I like the corn and mushrooms in it. It is not necessarily something I just have to have again, but not bad at all. I like things quite spicy lol. Omar gave me extra sriracha and chili flakes. But it could still have been a bit spicier…just my personal preference. All in all…great experience and great food. Parking is plentiful here, whether you park in a garage or just find a spot in downtown Burbank.“
“I picked this spot to have a catch up with an industry friend. It was absolutely perfect for this dinner. The atmosphere is perfect. Dimly lit but not exclusively for a date spot. I had the Sherman burger which was good, nothing to write home about. I do want to mention that their fries were spectacular. I think they put a hint of lemon on them which I hadn’t tried before. It added an amazing kick to it. They only lost one star on service because our waters were left unfilled for a majority of the meal, which in my opinion is an essential part of feeling waited on. I would come back again to try different items. Prices were a little steep, but that seems to be the trend in LA restaurants lately and im not sure it’s their fault.“
“Pleasant place to enjoy and share with friendsExcellent attentionVariety of drinks and beersWith the only detail that there is nothing to share about snacks while you drink your drinksIt would be nice to have a few snack options to enjoy the moment when eating on the premises“
“We had so much fun we haven’t been there in a while we had amazing appetizer eggplant salad, and baked feta cheeseI also had Greek martini so delicious and blueThanks we’re definitely coming back thanks for the music thanks for the food thanks for the atmosphereVegetarian options: So many amazing and vegan vegetable and salad“
“This was an amazing night of blues! My husband played there on 1/29/24. In the service departments defense, they were packed, so the service was slow. Just order two drinks at a time ?. The room has a great vibe, and I could feel "the magic," as my husband would say. Cadillac Zach, the promoter, was such a cool guy. We'll definitely be going to some more of Zach's events. I highly recommend going here.“
“I went for Shyboy pizza and stayed for darts!Pizza is served Wednesdays and Sundays only. It was very tasty and well-prepared. Rick has fabulous service and a nice guy who is passionate about food.I had a drink and it was very affordable. The crowd was very local. Everyone I encountered was nice.Bar staff were attentive, kind, and professional.Parking was easy.“
“Hmmm, where to start. This is every movie ever mades' idea of a biker bar. Sort of friendly staff (sort of!) generally surly clientele (inside) Wait staff friendly and excellent outside (like the clientele!) Go a couple of times, become a regular! Good value drinks, excellent value food. Rowdy on a Friday night. Despite my wording, much recommended!Parking: Adjacent to the bar.“
“It's a small dolphins bar. Glad we came, My boyfriend is a huge dolphins and heat fan. Everyone who came cheered on the dolphins and they won the game. Seats were filled and packed with dolphin fans! It was great. I found one seat at the bar and the owner Tony was really nice. Got me a beer right away and my friends came we enjoyed a pizza from Lucifers from down the st and enjoyed the night.Parking: Parking is on the street. And you can find any spot nearby. It's not a far walk. Or behind the bar too..Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheel chair accessible. Wide wall ways when entering the bar“
“The drinks are delicious and when I went there was a little taco stand outside which they let you order from and bring the food to your table. I’m not sure if the taco stand is there every day though. The service can be a little slow sometimes but they are very friendly!“
“Food is delicious. The food menu is simple and isn't overwhelming. The line does get long at night for dinner but worth the wait. The food quality is good. I can't compare it to other restaurants, it has its own unique taste which I enjoy alot.“
“I have been here twice in the past month! And other than having to share the small space bathroom with men, it's a hit! My firmed had his bday there and last night I went to the karaoke night! It was so fun! Service is good! Feels like a friends house party, kinda vibe! Bartenders are efficient and the outdoor space is inviting!“
“First time being there and it was a great time. On this Thanksgiving night, I called 9 establishments and Doc's Inn was the only one that picked up the phone. Carrie was behind the bar and was wonderful to chat with and made great drinks. There selection of liquor isn't over the top, but it's definitely adequate. The regulars I met were extremely friendly. They have a jukebox, separate Men and Women's bathrooms and a smoking area out back. Will definitely be coming back on Friday/Saturday nights when they have live music. Cheers“
“I started with the lychee martini (sweet but very good), then on to the gyoza (just alright). I also had the she's from Miami roll (they put something very spicy on the tuna that was not listed on the menu, would've been good otherwise), and the baked crab hand roll (delicious! but had avocado in it, which was also not mentioned on the menu). The staff were very nice and there was a nice ambiance.“
“Great drinks and service. Bartender was attentive and provided adequate attention at the bar. No complaints! Good local craft selection (biased against the craft beers in the area but they manage to have the good ones so I was happy), and didn't have any cocktails but the variety looks good. Will have to try their Espresso Martini next time I'm here!Food wise got their Chicken & Waffle sliders. Good but portion wise very "bougie". Small and might have gone a little overboard with the maple syrup. Would be better with a little hot sauce but I wasn't too hungry to ask for it or finish it at the restaurant. Got a size appropriate to-go box so I'll try it with hot sauce at home.Overall great experience and quick enough service if you're in the area or waiting for a movie at the AMC next door (my scenario). Will definitely be back!“
“Pepper and Pint is a hidden gem in the studio city area! The same owner of Jinky's, Alan, created this tavern concept. Jinky's cafe turns into an amazing tavern at 3pm with delicious drinks and Indian inspired tavern fusion. You can already tell by the plating that the food is incredible. The service is fast and super responsive! The ambiance could be worked on as it still feels like Jinky's but I think they're working on that. I heard they were going to start doing live jazz music soon so be on the lookout for that.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 3.5/5Next time you're in the area check them out!“
“Our order was made on line and I did have to go back to retrieve items they missed but I'd consider that system error. They made it right by adding an extra item to the order. Make sure if you do carry out that you consider they may not give you utensils.“
“Cash only! There's an ATM inside in case you need it.We stopped by here to kill some time before we had to fly out. Great spot to chill inside where it's laid back and has AC. Restrooms were a bit of a tight space but it makes sense considering that this this dive bar is from the 1940s.Plenty of spots to sit but the tables and chairs can also be a bit of a tight space as well. There's a jukebox for music and a TV you can watch sports on.Drinks were fairly priced and strong enough to give a slight buzz before we headed out to the airport.Bartender was very friendly and told my husband some history of the the bar. They have live music during the weeknights, which is pretty cool. Stevie Wonder had performed here last year and this bar has been used in a few movies too. There is a parking lot in the back so two different entrances to get inside. It's worth checking out if you love dive bars. We'd come back again.“
“A great atmosphere, I enjoyed the games on TV, it was Tequila Tuesday which was just fine by me, and the food was delicious! Absolutely a great time, I'm really glad that I went there for dinner. The server was fast, kind, and explained the menu to me. They only have Teramasu and 2 scoops of ice cream with liquor, not much of a desert place, but there was a lot around for sweets. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here with more people. On the left was the Blue Cheese Burger, and on the right was the Pastrami Jalapeño Burger. Their Chipotle Mayo was smokey to the taste, which was excellent.“
