I would eat at this restaurant again. The food was very good. On the evening we visited it was not too busy so the gentleman who runs the dining room did not check our reservation. The atmosphere is nice and not too loud so our conversation was not driven to shouting. The wait time for food was not unreasonable. Our waiter was also the gentleman running the dining room. We later learned that even when it's busy, he seats customers, takes orders, delivers food, everything all by himself. Our drinks and bread landed abruptly on the table. The olive oil for bread spilled a bit. My dinner was not the food I ordered. Our waiter, matter of factly, almost TOLD me, you will eat this even though you did not order it. Essentially he let me know that it's half price now so just eat it. He blamed the error on kitchen staff that does not speak English well. The waiter wasn't overtly rude to us but he also was not polite and welcoming. The people next to us said that they eat there often and he's like that every time, no matter if they are busy or not. I'm sure you will enjoy this place if you don't need courteous service.

We come here every year when we're in town and can't get enough. Chorizo mussels and seafood pasta are to die for. Tried the tiramisu last night for the first time and it was soooo good! Great prices for the quality. Can't wait to come back! Our favorite place in the bay!

Incredibly subtle and delectable flavors and texture. A true European experience loved the muscles, blackened snapper, and the apple pie!

Wonderful restaurant. Superb, fresh and soulfully prepared French food. Wonderful service by the manager who is incredibly attentive, positive and hospitable with nice touches of charm. Loved the place - a charming French restaurant in the middle of SF that transports you Europe classic neighborhood restaurants. The food is superb

This is a lovely little neighborhood restaurant. We were there on a Friday night and there was only one server so you had to flag him down if you needed anything, but he was friendly and fairly efficient. The tables were awfully close together, but it was fine. The food was varied and pretty good. The best thing about this place is that the prices are incredibly reasonable. We were also able to easily find street parking on a Friday night (unheard of in SF). The location is very close to venues like Davies Symphony Hall. We were very happy with our dinner and were in and out in time to make our 7:30 show with time to share.

A three course prix fixe menu for $20? With fresh bread? The economics baffle the mind.I think I bought a salad in the Mission for about that price. Sure, it was a nice salad, but it was no candlelit dinner like I had here! Please, come with all your friends, and order lots of food and wine. I need this place to stay in business for many more years to come.

Food was alright, crab cakes and beef burgunion pretty tasty. Seafood pasta in blue cheese sauce was too rich, and one of the fish ingredients was little smelly. Service was very slow, waited 50 minutes for the order to arrive. Water was refreshed only when we were about to pay the bill. Energetic atmosphere with plenty of local neighbors (assumption of course) and overall lively, but the acoustic was so that the sound was bouncing off the walls to the point of being unpleasant. Given that we ordered 3 different dinner entrees and paid less than 90 dollars it was overall 3stars but the experience was not very pleasant.

Alamo Square Seafood Grill is a neighborhood secret I wish would get out and be known, because it is a jewel of a locals place and I want it to stick around! Please, take a chance and go to it. You will be glad.

Food was excellent, service pretty slow. Verrrrry long delay between appetizers and entrees, but to their credit were perfectly cooked. Had grilled salmon, calamari appetizer, and also a salad on the specials menu, and you probably would be in good shape ordering just about anything here.

Great evening. Owner very engaging with guests. really fun atmosphere and food was delicious. Wednesday is No Corkage Fee day so lots of the neighborhood folks go on Wednesday! Enjoyed our evening!

Nice environment, recreates well the atmosphere of a French bistrot. Sadly food and service did not quite match. Food was OK but unexciting: grilled snapper was pretty bland, duck confit correct, risotto fairly nice - tarte tatin by far the best dish of the evening. Service professional but quite cold. $210 (including the obligatory and quite ridiculous 20% tip) for three starters, three mains, one dessert and a bottle of wine - probably average for SF, but would be exorbitant in a similar place in London (or Paris or anywhere else outside the US).

Neighbourhood gem! this is a cosy restaurant with an extensive wine list. I love the old school vibe. Very friendly service. There was only one server on Friday night but somehow service was fast, which is never an expectation.
