“Decided on a late night fix for fried chicken and this hit the spot! Got the 6 piece hot and sweet with pickled radish and corn on the cob. Corn on the cob was a little bland but the chicken made up for it! Would definitely dine here again.“
“Relaxed setting to get their famous fried chicken sandwich with a chicken claw in it! The official menu item is the Claude the Claw. If you go frequently, they give you a card where after you order 10 sandwiches and get the next one free!“
“Four stars because they clucked up one of the things we ordered. The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the cali ingredients added, it was a plain old classic cluckwich. Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly. Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. I chose all fries, no slaw, and it might have been the largest side of fries I've ever got at a restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-07“
“Very chill spot for some really good wings. The wings melt right off the bone and there's lots of great sauces to choose from. My favorite is the buffalo sauce, it has a good tang and spice to it. Second favorite is also the mango habanero which I've noticed has a varied spice level from the 2 times I've tried it. Lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan were okay flavors. The beers/ciders/sours are from local places around the bay which is cool too and they taste great. 5 wings I think is the right amount to fill you up.“
“This is THE spicy chicken sandwich restaurant in the Bay Area. The spice level is perfect, they use dark meat (not white meat), and the rest of the sandwich complements the chicken perfectly. Love this place and would recommend it to all spicy lovers.“
“The food here was delicious! The woman at the counter was warm and inviting, and even gave me a recommendation on what to order. (The bahmi kiao soup!) The soup had such a good sized portion of meat and noodles, and the dumplings were great too. My wife got the pad see ew - which she also loved! I tried it as well and it had a dash of sweetness which I really enjoyed. The prices were more than fair, the food was great, the Thai iced tea hit on a warm afternoon and the seating was clean and convenient. I would definitely recommend coming here!“
“I stumbled upon this place after having a few drinks at bamboo bar, and I was glad that I did! I ordered the sucio, and a side of potato salad . The chicken sandwich was made perfectly, and it was juicy! It just needed extra sauce, which came at an additional cost of $1.25, for a small container (insert sad broke face) . The potato salad needed a bit more flavor too. The service was really chill, and even offered to let me charge my phone while I was waiting! Over all I would most definitely stop by, and try my sandwich with another side.“
“A hidden gem, food was really good and arrived fast, really filling and budget friendly.Because the place is kinda hidden in a building, it was a little empty but the service and atmosphere was really nice.We ordered a beef chow fun, a garlic chicken dish (?) and assorted appetizers. The beef chow fun was so good we could have called it the best affordable in town, the beef is tender and tasty and the flat noodles are nicely sauced; the garlic chicken dish was our least favorite because of the amount of vegetables which we weren't a fan of, the assorted appetizers was a good sharing plate with a little of every appetizer, each tasty in their own way. The waitress was patient and really nice. The street it's located in has a bunch of stuff to do and more things a few streets away as well. We had a really nice time at the restaurant and afterwards as well.recommended.“
“Tasty Asian classics. A quick and delicious way to eat a meal at an affordable price. You can’t go wrong with the classic steamed or fried chicken. I ordered delivery on this one and I recommend you do the same. Great deals and a perfect reason to stay home. A definite reorder.“
“Hidden takeout spot inside a spacious Dogpatch building. Loved the larb tofu, the flavors, the crispiness. The broccoli was okay, a bit bitter, almost as if the seasoning was slightly burnt. The curry was very oily, but very delicious. Portions are on the small side, but the low prices reflect that. The person we picked up the food from was very friendly. The menu is limited, but if you're looking for some simple Thai food and flavors, some is better than nothing!“
“My first visit to Pollo Campero was last night. I am not often in this part of SF. I made a special trip to taste and see. No regrets.I ordered a three piece grilled chicken meal online. There is a quick, painless system set up for retrieving the to go order.I was allowed to eat at a table, even though they were in closing mode, wiping down surfaces. I came in shortly before the doors were locked. It’s advisable to not do this. The grilled chicken was pretty good, well cooked, but was not served piping hot. It is marinated, coated with lime/seasonings. I might like the fried chicken better. Next time.I’m thinking, the sides are where Pollo Campero shines the most. I was glad to discover the distinction of the fare served here being Guatemalan. It matters to me.The one side included with the meal was my selection of plantains. Outstanding! Sautéed expertly, bursting with bright flavor. Caramelized/crunchy, deeply seared, soft/fluffy inside. I’d return just to get them. They included a many corn tortillas to take home. I got the roll. One comes with the meal, you get a choice of tortilla or bread. My drink was average. I love agua fresca, and jamaica does not usually call for extra sweetness. Splenda made it tastier.Overall, nothing too much for complaints. I'll return to sample different items on the menu. Lots of goodness there to choose from.“
“Amazing food. Really good, polite service. I was with a group of 2 and we got the Ravioli and a Pepperoni sausage pizza to share. They misheard our order, and gave us a pepperocini sausage pizza instead, but we tried it and it was very high quality. It tasted really good and we got to try something we wouldn’t have otherwise. The Ravioli is really good. The plating was excellent and the fried ravioli was arranged so the sauce wouldn’t get it soggy. The Alfredo sauce tasted like it was made in house, and the chicken paired really well with it. I ordered bacon on top, and they gave me more than I was expecting, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall the meal felt very satisfying, the staff was pleasant, and it had a great atmosphere.“
“Lunch at The Roost is one of our favorites in SF. As a pescatarian, this is actually the ONLY chicken I eat, anywhere - and it is delicious. The adobo seasoning is fabulous. Cole slaw has a unique flavor that I wish I could replicate at home. Do try the sweet potato croquettes, but leave room for their brown butter cookies!“
“Solid, well breaded chicken sandwiches / tenders. I got a big star sandwich and chicken was a little bit dry but the sauce and veggies made up for it.Easy to order on self-order screens and food comes out quickly.Plenty of seating around the restaurant. This is a great spot to stop for a quick meal before your flight.“
“Split burger: yummy, has bits of fried onions!Split fries: also yummy - it was a bit soggy/not as fresh as id likeI went around 4PM and it wasn’t busy. You order at the front and find a place to sit and they serve it to you. This location has 2 washrooms which was nice and convenient!“
“The food here is amazing I always grab their fries and fried chicken as it's extremely crispy and juicy. They have amazing service all the time and the ambiance of the location is just great with amazing decor for pictures. Sadly it's located further away from all the other food locations so it isn't very popular.“
“Overall a good experience. The vibe of the restaurant was cool and the food was good. We got both flavors of the Korean fried chicken and a veggie kimbap. The chicken was crispy and the sauces were delicious. Only complaint is that it's located in a not so great area.“
“5 stars for Paulette with the pink hair. She went well out of her way to help me to figure out how to order one of the specials that were apparently only offered if ordering from online. She still managed to serve several customers with ease (as she was also helping me with the website glitch) that were coming through during the process. Otherwise, had I ordered the same box from the counter, it would have cost me $5 more! She went above and beyond what is considered good customer service. I can only imagine how any people that come through everyday with the same issue. Paulette is fantastic.“
“On a whim, my daughter and I stopped here for lunch. We split the regular fried chicken sandwich and, I kid you not, it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It was perfectly cooked. Very flavorful in all the components. Very impressed and will definitely be back the next time I'm in SF.“
