Amazing K-food tucked into H-mart! Usually my friend goes here for the cheese torched galbi but I came here for their spicy cold noodles and veggie bibimbap. Order took less than 10 min to prepare and portions are huge! Definitely plan to share. They also give good side dish items like radish and chives. The noodles were delicious and the bibimbap even better. Only downside here is that you have to buy water or bring your own. But overall excellent food!

Love Daeho - it's hard to resist the sizzling gigantic pot of galbijim, vegetables, and flavor. It's a bit pricey (especially if you add extra toppings or extra meat) but fun to share with a group of friends. Last time we were there, a group of four of us split a large portion with extra meat, extra noodles, cheese, and 3 bowls of rice. It also came with some side dishes, though not on par with the banchan I've had at other places. After eating to our heart's content, we still had about one serving of leftovers, which heated up nicely the next day. I still have yet to go to the original Japantown Daeho, but since the one at Hmart doesn't have a waitlist, it's been much easier for us to dine here. Highly recommend dine-in only (the sizzling pot is such a key part of the experience!) even though that will mean you may have to snoop around a bit for a table in the food court.

The kalbijjim and kalbi tang are ridiculously good. Bring friends or family to help you eat it all, and nice to not have the wait of the Japantown location. So happy to have a good Korean restaurant in the city.

This is my favorite shop in H Mart food hall. They have good quality of traditional Korean Beef Rib Soup and Bone Soup. First time ordered beef rib soup noodle and noodle it’s chewy and taste better than ramen. Soup base has beef bone aroma too. Highly

Back at Daeho! Haven't had their galbijjim in awhile and shared a regular size with my friend love the meat, it is super tender and juicy. The potatos, carrots and radish just soaks up all the sauce making those really tasty as well. There is also ddeok in it but I'm not a fan of them in general so I gave it all to my friend haha It also comes with a side of 2 white or purple rice and 3 banchan's. The soup was tasty; the side dishes were just okay. The server was nice and they are able to vacuum seal the side dishes if you want to take them to go.

Food is okay but let's talk about the poor service for the dine in customers. We ordered food at 7:50pm and since they close at 8pm they told me that they can only give us as a to go order. So we said okay. We got food and obviously needed extra take out bowl as we share and the server tells me she can't give out take out bowls bc they are closed but hello we still have multiple people eating daeho food on other tables and they are getting helped with their additional take out side dishes, wrap up their leftover soup. It's a weird policy they have and luckily jeong's k food owner helped us out. The server / cashier is just unreasonable. I hope the owner of daeho reads this comment asap.

4.5 if i could. i am someone who is an experienced daeho-kalbijjim-ONLY patron-er of both jtown and h-mart. (i never gotten take-out for kalbijjim, just trust me and just dine-in for it.) tldr, dine-in experience only: go before meal rush hours, get a table, pay, wait time is 20 min max, same quantity & quality as jtown (no cheese torching in front of u, no free water). it a lot of food. success. this spot is far superior than the jtown location IF you have already have had daeho already. however, if you haven't had it? go to the jtown ONCE, then go to this one on the reg. tip; go before or after meal rush (2pm / 5pm) to secure yourself a table. there very little tables, and lots of competing food booths + patrons. *what is missing from here vs jtown?: -free water. lol. the one at jtown gives you free water. :( -ambience, it's a food court not a restaurant. -*the cheese torching in front of you.* this would be the ONLY reason imo, on why you would go to jtown at least once, get that video of them flaming the cheese! but here? they torch it at the counter then call your number so it's all ready by the time you go up, fine by me who's eaten daeho hundreds of times. -table service, again it's food court, you want refills? walk up to the counter. want to go box? walk up. all the dirty dishes? walk it up and be respectful. LOL. -a table. you find your own table. period. *what's the same from here and jtown?: -the food quality. ZERO difference in portions/quantity, taste, and ofc quality compared to jtown. i highly recommend the kalbijjim zero spice, VERY UNDERRATED! it's a balance of sweet and savory when i feel mild masks a lot of the sauce/natural sweetness of the dish. but my to-go/ recommendation is kalbijjim regular with cheese and noodles fluctuating between no spice to mild. (it already comes with rice cakes in there fyi) -refills, ugh their kimchi is the BEST kimchi i've ever had and you can go up as many times to get refills. SO MUCH easier than flagging down a server to get it refilled!! *how is here better than jtown?: -no waiting in the cold, outside, crowded indoors! no wait line to PAY ! just nab a table, swipe your card, wait 20 min MAX later: your side dishes, rice, and kalbijjim. -accessibility. so much other food and drinks around you. -restroom, h-mart's restrooms are leagues better than the jtown one. -not feeling rushed by restaurant staff. that's the biggest downside of jtown. you know it's busy in the restaurant but you want to enjoy the experience you waited so long for. here? you'll feel rushed by patrons who want your table once you finished eating. pick your battles LOL. see u soon daeho ily.

This place was so good!!! I came to H mart to do some shopping and when I walked in I immediately saw Daeho! I have been looking to try this place for a while now and am so glad I did. We ordered the regular kalbijjim with mild spice and purple rice. The regular size is huge good enough for 3 people we opted out of the cheese topping as it looked like a lot of cheese. We also got the mild spice level and it was very spicy. The wait for our food was about25 min which is a little long to be in a food court. Will definitely try this place again and order the purple rice !

First time having this and it was amazing!! lol. The only thing that would make this perfect would be an ice cold beer. It's not the same when you take it home. The stone pot really makes a difference

We were not expecting to see a Daeho inside of the HMart food court, especially considering the wait time that you would usually expect at the SF Japantown location. It's naturally way faster to get your food here, but you do lose out on the whole experience of blowtorching the kalbijjim and whatnot. We just settled with the Seolleong Tang. It was my first time trying it, and I was really blown away with my first sip. Really deep in flavor, super umami packed, and even though it doesn't come with salt or pepper added, it really felt like I could have drank the entire broth without any seasoning. The beef was just alright; not as tender as I hoped, and honestly didn't have much flavor. There were also chewy rice noodles inside, but these had a really strange aftertaste to me, almost soapy. I couldn't finish the noodles because of it, but might just have been me. The banchan was really good; the kimchi was spicier than usual, but had insanely good flavor. The purple rice was a letdown, as it was very overcooked and quite mushy. Would definitely recommend! It took us 10 minutes to get our food on a Saturday night, which is certainly not a replicable experience in the SF location.
