I really loved the pizza here. "Detroit Style Pan Pizza" is similar to a Chicago style deep dish except the Detroit style has a crispier crust, almost like baked AND pan fried. I mean, the crust was good all by itself. But it was clear early on that the business management was weak. You would never know If they would be open or not, for one thing. The Chicago and Detroit pizzas here are actually I think the best in the neighborhood for pizza full stop. The sauce in the Detroit is is fresh and full of chopped veggies. The crust on the Chicago is fresh, rich, and has a nice cornmeal texture. And the toppings on both the Chicago and Detroit are great. Good for takeout or eating in the parklet outside. The beer list could be improved and I thought the California was meh.

The deep dish pizza here is pretty comparable to the other big hitters in SF. The crust is pretty similar to me. I order here when I don't want to wait an hour for delivery at the other places and to support a neighborhood joint. I prefer just calling and picking it up for the fastest service to ensure I can eat the pizza while it's still hot. I tried ordering the other night but no one answered the phone.
