Izumiya Restaurant Reviews

Busy Friday night and we were really hungry, there were no other restaurant that didn’t have a 1 hour+ wait time or a long line so we decided to eat here…the restaurant was completely empty. Food tasted good but we paid $70 + tip for 2 rice bowls and an order of takoyaki. Good service and decent food but pretty expensive. We also got served with paper plates and cups which for the prices they’re charging feels pretty bad. A family came in to get seated and left immediately...read full review

The okonomyaki brought me back to Japan. The flavor was there. The shape was a larger diameter than Japan and more flat than I’ve seen. The service was excellent! The price however, especially for a lunch, was way too high. The okonomyaki started at $20! For a lunch menu! Good flavor, but a one time treat. Not a regular spot for me for that price. 1-seafood okonomyaki:$24, 1-pot of green tea:$3, plus tax and 20% tip= $36 for lunch!

Really tasty! Really pricey. Cute little spot with great atmosphere. You can sit at a quiet counter by yourself if you like. The okonomiyaki are really tasty and can really help revive you on a cold SF winter day. For the price ($20-30 per person), paper cups and paper plates are a little disappointing. But all in all good food and lots to do in the surrounding area
