“They say that every time you fire a gun it makes you a tad bit more republican. Similarly, with every bite of the Al Pastor burrito I took, I turned from someone who considered burritos emblematic of everything wrong with America - that bloated, greased up, junked up version of the OG pure taco, into someone who thinks maybe not all of the American excess has to be terrible. 5/5 stars“
“1st at all.. I wanted to try this restaurant many times but always I had something to do.. so I've booked here @Yelp for Tuesday.. but it's closed. Actually Monday and Tuesday's are closed. I've finally tried their Quesabirrias... AMAZING!. They taste delicious. I've also order Jamaica water and is perfect. The place is NEAT, good relaxed ambiance with very low noise levels, which for me it's a must. Also, the waitress is super sweet. I'll be back for more food bc I had a late breakfast so my stomach got full with 2 (of 3) Quesabirrias and I'm saving space for the flan!. Flan: it was all my kind because it's in the side of more consistent thick desert. Really tasty I dessert“
“What to say!? This spot has got it all. Indoor eating with beautiful art on the wall, delicious food and an extensive wine menu to try. I ordered and lives their large pozole (pictured) which is a red pork or chicken stew with a rich broth. They also serve delicious horchata. I'm definitely returning!July '22 update: ordered the plantain pastor burrito ($12) and it was delicious. Confirmed as well that the pozole is amazingly rich with flavors of oregano, red onion, hominy and lime“
“Tasty mexican food in North Beach. It was pretty early - like 5:30 pm - and the place was empty, so the orders delivery was fast. We had a burrito (big!) and some tacos with carne asada (portion of three), a cheese enchilada and tacos with guacamole. Everything was really tasty, maybe a little hard to digest (more than other mexican experiences) but I have to say I was really hungry and I ate fast. This food plus two margaritas was like 72$ without tip and I think it’s pretty expensive (it was the most expensive dinner in a almost two weeks trip in and around San Francisco so I think it’s something worth to say). Not so happy with that.Other things: the neighborhood is pretty great, the location is just okay (it doesn’t recall authenticity but it looks more like a franchise fast food); service is a bit cold but kind so nothing to whine about (it’s just an observation). So yeah if you’re hungry, price it’s not a problem and you aren’t looking for a “traditional” kind of thing, this is the place!“
“This spot is like Mexican Birria Heaven. I adore the consommé on the side; you can never have too much sauce. Their variety of sauces is outstanding, especially the yellow one for spice lovers. Adding extra onions and beans on the side enhances the flavors and helps balance the heat from the sauces. Unlike some other places, their Birria isn't overly oily. Dipping it into the consommé amplifies its unexpected flavors.“
“This is by far one of the best taco trucks in the area. I have been coming back here for about two years, and I'm finally writing a review. I have tried everything on their menu and only one item I don't like, but it's my personal opinion. Their seasoning it's always on point. In two years, the food is always great. You get a good amount of meat per taco compared to every other truck in the area. Also their price is much lower than the competition. I have tried every single taco truck in the mission district, and this one is by far the best.“
“Phenomenal food & drinks! The Tijuana style tacos w/carnitas & heaping topping of guac is really something you need to taste at least once or more in this lifetime or you will be missing out.. loved the spicy pickles & all the salsas. The rest of my family enjoyed everything they ordered (including my picky 1 1/2 year old), we really couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The horchata was excellent & had a slight coconut taste which was pleasantly unexpected & the watermelon margaritas were perfection. Will be returning / recommending!“
“We found this Mexican restaurant while we visited Golden Gate Park and walked to there following google map. Their complimentary chips are freshly cooked, we especially liked the pairing red sauce salsa. It's delicious. I liked the carne asada taco and al pastor taco. The carne asada is seasoned well and grilled tender. The al pastor taco is paired with mango and has a little bit of sweet taste. The portion is generous and the price is affordable. The owner is warm and friendly. It's a great restaurant worth trying.“
“Powell Station is footsteps away making Tropisueno my "go to" restaurant when I am near Union Square. The menu selection is diverse, which is great, but the last 2 times I have eaten there the service has fallen below satisfactory. I am bewildered as to why, seeing that they have far more wait staff than most restaurants.“
“Caribbean cuisine right at the Ferry Building. You order at the counter and pick up the food. I tried the Cuban sandwich and the beef plate with rice and beans. It's typical Caribbean with some spice and sweetness not spicy hot. Try the strawberry juice.“
“Amazing happy hour special where I got 3 tacos, a sangria with tips for less than $20- a steal for SF dinner prices! The service was attentive and kept the place clean occasionally checking in on our group to see if we needed more food.My favorite was the mushroom taco it was surprisingly spicy!Lots of tables for big groups inside so I can see it being a popular spot on a Friday or a more lively time.“
“Absolutely yummm! I had 3 tacos duck, beef birra, fish with soft corn tortilla & a side of Mexican rice. My favorite was the duck taco, full flavor & so fresh. All tacos were very tasty, beef birra was a bit on the spicy side but not too spicy. I loved the microgreens& sauces. The Mexican rice was cooked perfect. The owners were super friendly. I'll be a regular for the duck tacos & Mexican rice. I look forward to trying other menu items. GREAT addition to my neighborhood BAYVIEW. I highly recommend it's worth the trek.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm in an electric wheelchair & it was easy roll in & ada accessible seating.“
“I got the taco plate and the food was so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend. I did have a lil trouble finding it, if you use google maps, it shows it is in the middle of pier 7 when in fact it is on the street by Pier 7. Will definitely be back, whenever I'm in San Fran. Thanks so much!“
“My favorite taqueria in the area, and I’ve tried almost all of them. They have a self serve salsa bar and the orange chipotle sauce is very yummy. I don’t even like prawns but I like the prawn burrito. They have the best chips of any of the taquerias IMO.“
“Friendly and accommodating service. Requested a few ingredients off my food (no sour cream and their hot red sauce in place of pico de gallo in a Carnitas crispy flat top burrito). They give you options for bean choice and I love refied beans in a burrito! Carnitas were crispy and flavorful. Burrito was crispy and all ingredients tasted really good and fresh! Their red sauce is really good. I am dead inside so it did not feel spicy to me, but if you are not a fan of spicy sauce you can customize your order. Most importantly and what made me love this burrito is that there is not an overwhelming rice stuffed burrito! I am from Southern California and we are not down with rice burritos, sorry SF locals, that is just not my thing. So if you want a burrito that is mostly protein (meat and beans) this place is a great choice. Service was quick food portions are great and in my opinion well worth the price especially in this area. Will definitely come back and try other dishes in this cozy corner of Lower Nob Hill! Buen Provecho and Tip your lovely Service Peeps!“
“5-star place. Absolutely amazing food both for vegans, pescatarians, vegetarians and meat eaters as well. As a mostly veg with a vegan SO and a meat eater friend we came back here after our first visit to try more food, it's perfect! The cauliflower-coconutmilk ceviche is a must-try for everyone.“
“Great food, with excellent use of seasoning and authentic recipes. The atmosphere was low lighting and felt intimate with the music to cover conversation. The booth had plenty of room for 4 people. The menu had a good selection and all ingredients were very fresh. Steak was a bit chewy, but flavor was excellent. Service was a bit slow at times, with the waiter missing for 5 min or so when we were ready to order. The busser was fantastic. We will definitely be back for more!“
“(Translated by Google) Authentic Mexican food, very good service and kindness, family business and a variety of very tasty dishes, you will not regret eating in this place(Original)Comida auténtica mexicana, muy buen servicio y amabilidad, negocio familiar y variedad de platillos muy sabrosos no se arrepentirán de comer en este lugarKid-friendliness: Ambiente familiar“
“Tacos de canasta. Authentic homemade street form of taco also known by tacos al vapor. the process is to prepared the freshly made tortillas on hot chili oil that gets filled with potatoes, beans, chorizo, or your choice of protein, when making you fold the tacos in half, stack them on a basket lined with wax paper and covering with a cloth and a plastic bag, this way the tortilla gets soft by the Steam created in the basket kept warmed for hours. They get served 7 different ways at this place and come with salsa and shredded cabbage. There are three seats if you want to eat at the tent or take home. There are two dollars each. There are a few taco de canasta restaurants in San Jose and I find that this is the only tacos de canasta eatery that serves this kind of tacos in San Francisco.“
“Came in for the first time for taco Tuesday yesterday and had the Al pastor and Baja fish tacos, they were delicious. Sounds like there’s at least a new chef and new manager, I can’t compare to previous mgmt but this new chef rocks! Bartenders were nice too. I’ll definitely be back :)“
“Mom and pop food truck. Nothing fancy. Just tasty basics done very well at a reasonable price (for SF). we ordered a variety of $3 tacos, a $13 super burrito and 2 sodas. Cash only so bring your wallet. We thought $30 all in with tip was more than reasonable. We've added this spot to our regular dinner rotation. We will be back!“
“Nice place with screens broadcasting live matches and accessible to get to the adjacent stadium, the place can be crowded during events greatly slowing down the serviceThe restaurant is very accessible, the quantity is correct for the price and the burgers are very generousVegetarian options: A burger is available for vegetarians.“
“Always an amazing experience here! The people are kind and always get the order right. The burritos will run you about $12 but huge and I can always get two meals. I ask for them to cut it in half and bag it separately. That way i take half to work or something else. Street parking only“
“This is everything you want from fast casual Cal-Mex, with extensive huevos options that will cure your hangover and keep you going all day. What really sets it apart is the rotisserie chicken, the tenderest and tastiest you will ever find. You can get it with tortillas and sides for a full family dinner to go, or you can do what I did and pull all that tender meat off the bones and then boil them into a wonderful broth and put the meat back with some vegetables for the most robust and healing chicken soup ever.“
“What a fish burrito! Perfectly cooked, and great flavor. I had the fried fish of the day with their signature hot sauce and it was perfect after a day of walking around. A must-stop if you are over by ocean beach.I went on rainy day which means seating wasn’t great as it’s a walk up restaurant with outdoor seating, but could imagine it on a beautiful sunny day. (On the plus side I got my food really fast).“
