“a nice, refreshing place to get your ice tea fix! chun yang is located in a small plaza with a parking lot. i came on a thursday afternoon and there weren't many spots available. there is street parking nearby if you can't get a spot in the plaza. i got the honey osmanthus oolong tea, their #1 popular drink. i appreciated the server, who was very knowledgeable about the drinks and their sweetness levels. i got my drink at 50% sweetness, and it was still super sweet, so 25% is probably best if you don't like your drink tasting like sugar syrup. the tea, however, was the best part since it was strong and refreshing! this is a small shop, so don't expect any tables to hang out in here. there is a bench to sit and wait for your order, but that's all for seating. there is a public restroom for customers. overall, great place for a refreshing and strong tea drink. the quality of the tea was great, and it is perfect for a hot day.“
“This place is such a hole in a wall, and would definitely come back. I was here literally last week and been thinking about coming back all week this week!The place is like everyone said, half grocery (international market, mostly indian goods), and half restaurant. I mean hey some people can make a business model after it, full respect.The quality of their food doesn't decrease just because its half and half, in fact, this place have the best indian food I have had thus far! There is bollywood music video playing on the TV, you are served with kindness by the staff there, and also attentativeness.The staff are great at recommending things, but they are also great salesmen - as in they would point at things asking if you want to order - lol.I ordered the garlic cheese naan, which was delicious. The tikki masala lambm which melted in my mouth. The rice was okay, but I haven't been too enthused about rice as of late, so it might just be a personal preference thing.Their mango lassi is okay, but food was really great! His aunt showed up with a couple of boxes filled with 12 slices of various sins (see photos)!!! They were delicious! I was feeling guilty for giving in and partaking in consumption of one of these sins (Blue & Black Berry Cake). It was worth EVERY CALORIE!! As a matter of fact, I believe eating this slice is giving my family and friends a gift, by giving them more of me to love! “Food: The food here was spot on! I thought this place wouldn't be that good, but once you try out these food items. It's like your tastebuds are in heaven. OMGGG. I would definitely recommend the Breakfast Sampler and the Omelette because these are one of the Customer Favorites here in Starlight Cafe, SG. The drink I ordered was an Iced Latte and it was just a little too strong for me. But the main attraction for me was the food and I'll give it a 5/5. Service: Staff was nice, helpful and welcoming. Thank you to the chefs who cooked our meal. The presentation was very beautiful. Almost like a Fine Dining Restaurant. Ambiance: Felt like a futuristic cafe once you enter through the doors of the because of the perfect lighting. Great place to hang and have a bite with your friends and/or family. Parking: Parking is a little weird and bad because the way the Markers are on the parking is slanted and you think that there is a way out on the other side but no... you have to back up and exit out. “Such a relaxing, lived-in, homey Hong Kong coffee shop. The owner asked me about my coffee tastes, recommended a fruity Ethiopian medium roast pour over, talked about the tradeoffs of siphoned coffee, French press, etc, and recommended his freshly baked croissants as particularly good today. Soothing classical guitar music, endearing hand-written signs, and idiosyncrasies of the owners as decor are all such a stark and lovely contrast to the sterile and corporate coffee shops everywhere in LA. If you want something different than that, try Fresh Roast on San Gabriel.“
“My aunt got these cakes for Christmas and I was obsessed with how cute they are! Don't be fooled by their appearance these cute dainty cakes taste just as intriguing as they look. My favorite was the hazelnut chocolate crunch and the coffee hazelnut macaroon tart! I really wanted to love the strawberry cheesecake but it wasn't any of our favs.“
“I was looking for a local roaster in town , since I've recently purchase an espresso machine . Met Scott the owner , he was very informative about his products. Great customer service, and he even made me a shot espresso ! Will be coming back for more beans once I run out !“
“I've been coming here for my tea fix since they first opened years ago. It's a great spot to study/work or hang out w/ friends. I used to come here often to study or catch up w/ friends. The music isn't too loud and most of the customers are usually studying/working, so it's not extremely noisy. I've never had any issues here regarding their service. They've all been friendly, so no complaints. I have tried a variety of drinks from here and they're not bad. I think they're just ok. I personally like coming here because their drinks are usually consistent when it comes down to the taste. It really depends on who makes it though. You know what they say, consistency is key, lol. Inflation is real! Drinks here typically cost between 6-7$. There's been a 2$ increase from when they first opened until now. Boba is just getting pricier & pricier w/ time. Sad, lol. They take cash/card/Apple Pay! As for parking, there's a shared parking lot among the plaza and street parking.“
“First time to try Japanese style soufflé. It’s a bit pricey but worth the price!We ordered classic soufflé, it comes with 3 pancakes stacked together. So a big serving size.Soufflé is soft and sweet.There’re many people in the shop, a good place to hang out with friends.“
“UPDATE (9/9/23): It appears that they are doing their night shift hours again! I looked on Yelp and saw it was "closed," but the store was up and running until 3AM on Uber Eats. I ordered some popcorn chicken to see if it was true, and it worked. I think that their Yelp hours are not updated yet.“

“We ordered the mango sweet dew. It was smoothies with fresh mango, grapefruit, and cristal boba. We ordered 50% sweet, but it was still too sweet for us. Overall, it was fresh and delicious. We also ordered osmanthus oolong tea with mousse. The mousse was heavy and smooth, and the osmanthus was rich.“

Not only it looks good, both egg tart & the drink taste good as well. Actually, I come here today to buy their branded chilly sauce. A must have on almost all my meals after I tried it the first time.“
“Super long like when I first arrived, but it moved along in a pretty efficient manner. Also they made the drinks super fast, which was nice. The mini pearls were very good and I also enjoyed the drink a lot as well. Overall, it is one of the better boba spots in the SGV for sure.“

“Their selection of drinks is, in my opinion, limited. Essentially 99% of their drinks have some type of caffeine in them, be it tea or coffee. However, they make up for lack of selection in drink with selection of snacks. I got egg rolls and fried calamari and they were sooo good! They also have restrooms and some comfy seating inside. Really chill vibes.“
“Sitting here enjoying a wonderful pound cake and coffee. Very quiet and nice cafe. Clean, and aromatic. The worker was amazing and allowed me to stay a little after closing as I was waiting for an appointment at the beauty clinic behind the cafe. I will definitely be coming back here. My only complaint is the pastries are too big! Unfortunately for my waistline, I ate the pound cake and the donut holes“
