“My new favorite place to go in San Jose! I live an hour northeast of this place and I will gladly drive down with my family to enjoy great food here. I tried this place for the first time on Tuesday with my friend and then came back with my family and friends on Sunday. We loved it and the server was kind enough to let my family taste their ube waffle for free! Love their food and service! Thank you Duy! It was great chatting with you and learning a little bit on how you started the business. Wish you and your wife much more success. Also, wishing you can open a bigger location and possibly multiple locations in the very near future ?“
“Omg THE BEST VEGAN DONUTS I’ve ever had! I was craving Boston Cream Pie donuts and they knocked it out of the park! I tried a lil bit of everything, all of their donuts are HEAVEN! Also, if you’re a cappuccino lover you must try their cappuccino! I got one with oat milk - THE BEST CAPPUCCINO EVER! lol this place is heaven.“
“Açaí what you did there! Experience (3.5/5 stars): *Food: built my own custom bowl w/ the raw base, bananas, blueberries, sliced almonds, and cacaos. Wished they had unlimited toppings like at Palmetto. *Service: can either order on the machine on side or at the front *Ambiance: nice but can be dirty if people don't clean after themselves Overall, I'd recommend coming here for a light lunch! I'm hoping to try the drinks next time.“
“So glad to have discovered this place. There’s a wide range of hand pour options available. Tried the yellow fruit and the notes is obviously on the acidic side which is perfect with its rich, distinct floral aroma. They also sell a variety of roasted beans. Comfortable seating by the window inside. Definitely coming back for more tasting!“
“Ube coffee and peanut butter latte were delicious with homemade creams and authentic, strong Vietnamese coffee. Great rotating draft beer selection including humble sea and 450 north. Super friendly staff and lively atmosphere. Highly recommend checking out if you're in San Jose.“
“Pretty good. Walking distance from our Airbnb. Prices seemed pretty high but we are not from here and it could be normal for the area. Coffee was ok. Took a while to get two iced coffees. Food was really good. We shared the mexicali breakfast burrito and the chipotle sauce was amazing. Definitely put some sweat on our brows.“
“Overall this was a solid weeknight date spot. The dahi papri chaat is delish! Creamy, runny yogurt + super fresh chutneys + crisp papris. Other dishes to try include a paneer pesto puff and pav bhaji. Though you can get other really good pav bhaji in the Bay, this was also very good.“
“Love this local coffee spot. The owner is super nice and welcoming. It seems like a community center where everyone knows each other, greets warmly, and even offers to share seats. We enjoyed a cappuccino and a latte (they offer soy/almond milk for substitute), we appreciate so much with the owner’s sweet treat! The relaxed atmosphere here feels so European, instantly bringing us back to Portugal and sparking that nostalgic feeling. Great spot to chill with excellent coffee and some food. Definitely coming back.Cash or Venmo only. Free parking right next to the shop.“
“Been there during a meet. Managers/owner/staff was great. I had a great latte with a croissant sandwich which was very fresh and good. I heard that this location is one out of two. I'm not sure where the other one is, but I'll definitely visit it.“
“Kind and authentic cafe. Ambiance was super cute. It's lovely to sit outside on a nice day and enjoy a delicious, well made latte--which they served to me when I already sat myself; a really sweet gesture. Workers seem to enjoy themselves too. I have yet to try the food but it looks good!“
“The culinary offerings at Joyhear Cafe are commendable, presenting an array of vegetarian dishes that are both gastronomically delightful and gentle on the digestive system. The conscientious preparation of each meal is evident, reflecting a philosophy that marries taste with nutritional benevolence.“
“Phenomenal empanadas. I love empanadas, I make them, I buy them, I dream about them. This place has it all figured out. You can't go wrong with any and I kid you know I felt like I ordered the whole menu. The lomo saltado flavor is good and so is the traditional beef one which has olives. Yum! I'm not sure I took a picture as I just scarfed it down. A perfect breakfast or snack item.“
“What a great place to grab coffee and enjoy your morning. The coffee here is spectacular if you love coffee also if you love cool looking places. They offer a variety of flavored coffee drinks which I truly avoid but in this case, my wife tried one of the flavored ones and really enjoyed it. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. I can't say anything bad about the service as well. Come here have a small talk with a friend and enjoy your drink. Definitely recommended and don't miss out.Pros: coffee, staff, decorCons: popular:)Stars: 4.5“
“Very consistent. Always the best service and really good food. Comfort & hardy food with delicious breakfast options. Love the Swedish pancakes with the special butter and really enjoy all the sandwich options as well as salad options. My son loves the breakfast tacos or chorizo special scramble.“
“The HeartBeat Cafe is such a cute cafe! It is a hidden cafe in the Cambrian Plaza. It truly is a gem and you must try it! All of the food and drinks are super yummy! The entire cafe has a great atmosphere and has the cutest decorations. When you order, your food comes out very fast! I highly recommend!!“
“O guau Panaderia La Estrella es un buen lugar el pan muy riquísimo todos los días voy a ese lugar a comprarme mi café y mis conchitas claro lo único poquito malo del lugar es el parqueadero del parqueadero es muy pequeño y hay que tener pelear un poquito con esperar turno paga para poderse parquear pero el el pan riquísimo lo recomiendo“
“Service is attentive. Food is really good. I ordered an egg salad sandwich today because I was in a hurry and needed something quick. I stopped by Tower Cafe to grab a sandwich because it's close by and I've never been.Menu is mounted high above the counter in colorful boards easy to read. I ordered an egg salad sandwich with pickles on rye bread. They made it to order so you can customize how you want. On top of that, they toast the slice breads so it is crunchy every bite.I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back again. Right now, they have an offer of 1 free soda with a sandwich order if you check in on Yelp.“
“A suitable place to gather with friends, the restaurant is very clean, the food is ok, the price is a bit higher than usual. Extremely delicious drinks, especially yogurt. beautiful decoration. Lots of parking but a bit narrowParking: Lots of parking but a bit narrow“
“A delightful new addition to the neighborhood. The owner a long time local resident. Has a passion and pride for his tea and new shop.Enjoyed some perfectly cooked popcorn chicken (mild) it juicy on the inside crispy on the outside with plenty of fried basil. They have a little station of different sauces for you to pick your own a compliment but it was perfectly nice on its own. And the place is overall inviting and clean. Even with a little bit of clutter behind the workspace it's clear they're still moving in.Also enjoyed a milk tea.It was perfectly balanced. Nice and cool very refreshing perfect for a hot San Jose day.I managed to get to speak with the owner for a while a very nice fellow. The place was not busy at all and that broke my heart a little bit. He said he was getting ready for the grand opening hopefully sometime soon and that they were still working out parts of the menu such as the sandwiches weren't available yet.As a fellow long-term resident of this neighborhood, who was disappointed with the previous tea shop at this location. The new owners and shop gave me hope for a quality boba house. Here to stay .I look forward to returning. And you've got a new regular customer.“
“1st time here and I just work around the corner. A hidden jem. The waitress was friendly and made my drink in minutes. The atmosphere is awesome with cool jams and plenty of seats and tables. I'll definitely be back here to to catch some light refreshment with teas, and popcorn chicken for my afternoon cravings.“
“The outside of this neighborhood breakfast spot is nothing to brag about. But the service is great. I was greeted by a very friendly waitress, and you could hear her talking to her customers about her day, which made you feel welcome and gave a personal touch to the place. I ordered a Cali Benedict (which includes avocado), with a side pancake (it wasn't a side in the menu, but my waitress gave me the option). The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hash browns were not overly fried and cooked just right. A lot of restaurants burn their hash browns. The avocado was not ripe, it was a little too hard. The pancake was fluffy and decent. Overall, a good and friendly breakfast place.“
“Delicious high quality tasting tea! Boba balls are amazing quality too and have a great chew. The amosphere is relaxing with soft interiors and lighting. Fun for a group of friends or family to get together or for a solo trip. I got the merry berry drink and I would get again. Less sweetness was the perfect amount. Only downside was that a lot of the food was sold out by noon and it took a long time to wait for the drink, but there was little staff so it was understandable. Would still come again!“
“Love this lil place. Ordered for pick up on my lunch hour. 1st time. Food was great wish i had time to eat there. Will def be BKParking: There were a few spots out front but taken. I parked around the corner since i was picking up. Not sure if it was a permit needed??“
“Excellent Vietnamese and asian fusion food. Staff is very friendly and engaging. As long as it is not too busy, they would be happy to chat with you on a variety of topics. Fun place to hang out when there is a sports game on, or even to do some work outside of office. A variety of drink options too, and they are constantly upgrading their offerings.Parking: Go around the Walgreens’s and get to the back of the building, there is a large lot there and can access the back door.“
“Nice boba place, clean and spacious. The kids were like "ooo fancy". I paid $1 extra and upgraded my drink to a bigger size and I never seen a boba drink that huge. Well worth that extra $1 upgrade. Nothing really special about the milk tea other the enormous large size. We also ordered 2 samplers (popcorn chicken, calamari, mozzarella stick, eggroll and fried mushroom) and the pandan waffle. I was surprised how good the samplers were. Being samplers, I guess the portion was decent except for the calamari. Can't really taste much of pandan in the waffle. Overall, a great hang out place to grab a drink and some snacks.“
“Yummy and delicious! Three of us got boba teas this afternoon and we thought this place was wonderful. The service was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. The ambiance is a place where you can comfortably sit with your laptop and do work or cruise the Internet. We all enjoyed our teas! I had the Viet Coffee and it was delicious! Perfectly sweetened with the condense milk that's added. Passion fruit with lychee jellies is what my daughter ordered and she loved it! My wife had the iced coffee and thought it was very delicious! Great little place with delicious teas/coffees and wonderful service! We will be back!“
“I had to try this egg coffee and it was simply splendid. 8 oz was a bit small for me next time I will get a bigger cup. The egg in the coffee was very good and not too sweet. It hit the spot and the shredded pork with fried egg Bahn Mi sandwich was very good. It filled me up for the rest of the day and I will be back to try the rest of the menu. The facility is small and cozy inside. A great place to go with your significant other or co-workers. Plenty of tables and seats for the crowd. The young lady at the counter was informative and educated me on the whole ordering process. I was impressed and do recommend any of you who like bahn mi sandwiches and Vietamese coffees. Location was perfect on the corner of Blossom Hill and Snell south side San Jose. Highway 85 about a quarter mile away so makes it a great stop and back on the road again for those of us with a busy calendar.Show lessWheelchair accessibility: One story building with handicapped parking spaces in front of the facility“
“I recently visited Lucky Tea with my family and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and efficient. We decided to try a variety of drinks, and each one exceeded our expectations.I personally ordered the Sun Moon Lake Black Milk Tea with crystal boba, less ice, and no sugar. It was a delightful blend of rich, aromatic black tea with the perfect sweetness from the crystal boba. I appreciated the option to customize my drink to suit my preferences, and Lucky Tea nailed it with the balance of flavors. The tea wasn't overly sweet, allowing the natural taste of the high-quality ingredients to shine through. One noteworthy aspect was the convenience of ordering through the kiosk. It streamlined the process, making it quick and easy to customize our drinks exactly how we wanted them. The interface was user-friendly, and it added a modern touch to the overall experience. The ambiance of Lucky Tea made our time there even more enjoyable. Whether you're catching up with friends, working, or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, Lucky Tea provides a comfortable environment for everyone. In summary, Lucky Tea offers a wide range of delicious drinks with the added benefit of customizable options. The Sun Moon Lake Black Milk Tea was a standout for me, and the kiosk ordering system added a modern and efficient touch to the overall experience. I highly recommend Lucky Tea to tea enthusiasts and anyone looking for a welcoming tea house with exceptional beverages.“
“Attempted to order (off menu) a lavender matcha latte. While they didn't have the lavender syrup, the barista offered to attempt it with the lavender tea they had on hand. The suggestion hit the spot and I think tastes even better than with syrup!“
“OMG! I must have passed by this place not knowing there's a secluded Vietnamese cafe tuck away right behind Carl's Jr. What caught my attention was the $11.99 lunch menu that I had to check it out came by this afternoon greeted by the owner and his wife/companion seated right away interior is quite spacious a great place to dine with a group of friends or family get together. What was good on the menu was the banh mi opla a Vietnamese breakfast sandwich consist of two baguette breads, three sunnyside eggs, three slices of Vietnamese ham (cha lua) as they refer to with veggies (cucumber, carrots and daikon) along with pate paste on the side and chili garlic sauce to go with it simply a great combination would definitely have it again for a mere $11.99 can't beat that. Next time I will have the banh xeo or commonly know as Vietnamese pancake. Server has been excellent no complaint she would come over and refill my glass if need be. My go to hopefully they will extend their lunch special highly recommend to my friends and co-workers.“
“I can't comment on food because I didn't have any. I was there only during bar hours. The staff is amicable and attentive, always asking how we were doing and advising us on the day specials (which were actual good recommendations and not predatory practices).Even though honest mistakes were made in the charges they were proactive and eager to correct them. Rather than a bad mark that was actually a big plus.I want to see this small business thrive in the community!“
“The crepes are made to perfection, with fillings ranging from classic Nutella and banana to savory combinations like ham and cheese. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a leisurely brunch or a quick bite with friends. With friendly staff and a menu full of tasty options, Whispers Cafe and Creperie is sure to become your new favorite spot for a delicious meal.“
“I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before but this is a solid milk tea spot for any crowd. They have a strong menu of boba milk teas to choose from that is delicious. That aside, it can get packed at times as it is quite popular; however, there's a lot of seating which is nice for a meet up spot to catch up or chill for a bit.“
“Visit this on their 5th year anniversary. Today, 10/28, it is by one get one free. It is pretty busy and line keep building. The drink is pretty good, but most of them are from syrup. We also order the sampler , popcorn chicken, fried mushroom, and fried calamari. The chicken is ok. Mushroom and calamari are good. The drink is ok. It is similar to other boba places.“

“As a Berkeley student, I drink a lot of boba every year and the House Milk Tea, boba and 80% sweetness at N7 continues to be the best drink I’ve ever tried. It’s milkier and creamier than most milk teas I’ve tried, and it’s extremely flavorful. A con is that drinks are pricey, and finding parking can be difficult. The joint is very spacious and service is lightning quick.“
“Been going there for years even before it was Lagos. The last owner retired and left it to her son and aft of going their for 15 years they have a new owner but the food didn't change neither did the service since they kept their employees. If that would change I'd be looking at a different spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy entrance“
“Highly recommend this place I’ve loved it since I moved here. Great atmosphere for families and for a little breakfast date. We ordered the Bacon and Sausage combo breakfast burrito ADD avocado, wowwwww very delicious every single time. Everyone must try this place and have it be their number one spot.“
“The only reason i’m writing this review is because of the service. I was pretty nervous to order something new so when i got an okinawa milk tea (D11) i realized my mistake. i had got it with fresh milk meaning the drink was almost entirely milk. However, as i told the cashier my conundrum, the cashier was still incredibly nice and welcoming. she offered to make me the okinawa roasted milk tea (D13) to replace the one i already ordered. and nail in the coffin was that the new drink is now one of my favorites. she was completely understanding and sweet and i’m definitely coming back!! <33“
“I have gone to this location quite a few times in the past year or so, and I've always been satisfied by what I've ordered. My go-to drink is the House Coffee, which I think is a refined take on traditional Vietnamese coffee. The sweetness, bitterness, and other flavors are really well balanced. I prefer hot drinks, but this is also good iced. I haven't explored the menu much, but the "Black and Tan" (app exclusive..) is a fun mix of coffee and tea.I also must specially call out the Santa's House Coffee, which adds chocolate sea cream and peppermint bits to the House Coffee and makes it an almost-perfect drink! If only it was available year-round...I usually order to-go, but I have only good things to say about the location and staff. My drinks are always ready by the scheduled time.Overall, I highly recommend checking out this or other branch locations!“
“This is a small bakery, privately owned and small business. Has been here for ever. Their fresh baked goods are beyond compare. Not just in taste, but also variety. The milk buns are almost part of my staple diet! Coffee is also excellent. Normally it is quite crowded and line is long. Takes longer to check out, but worth the wait.Vegetarian options: Everything is labeled making it easy to pick out vegetarian optionsParking: Parking gets pretty full between 9am and 6pm“
