It was delicious got my entire family our own individual meals , Even though the portions are a really good size, we wanted to try Uber rioting things because we couldn't pick cause it all looked are good. And after we ate it we were glad we did. We tried the medium sauce purchased it. It was so delicious and I love and it have fish inside. We will definitely be back, and I told my family about it already.Kid-friendliness: Recommended an incredible dish for my daughter. She loved it, enjoyed the Corn bread as well.“

“My friend and I visited Addis Ethiopian Restaurant on Friday, 2/9/24, for an early dinner. We decided to order the Kategna as the appetizer. It was crispy and delicious. For the main course, we got the Meat Combination Platter for Two. It came with 3 Ethiopian meat specialties such as the Doro Wot, Sega Wot, and Sega Alicha along with Injera, Ayib, Boiled Eggs, and a mini Salad. All of the meats were beyond flavorful and bold in taste. My friend and I finished the entire platter feeling full and satisfied. For the drink, I had a glass of Ethiopian Honey Wine. It was sweet and I enjoyed it very much. Everyone inside the restaurant was pleasant. The customer service was attentive and lovely. The indoor ambiance was decorated nicely with flowers and candles at each table. Overall, Addis Ethiopian Restaurant is a great spot to satisfy Ethiopian food cravings. I recommend coming here.“

“First time eating here. I got the Chicken Curry rice bowl with the sides and hot sauce. It was so delicious!!! Amazing. And? Next time I’ll ask for less rice and more food on top. It was pretty rice heavy and wished I’d gotten twice as many greens. And weird - I only got one piece plantain, and? regardless- the my meal was amazing. Service was kind and friendly.Love this place!!!Welcome to West Oakland!! ??“

“Great atmosphere, full on a Monday night, the server was knowledgeable and walked us through the menu with good recs and then showed us everything on the plate too which was nice because I don’t eat Eritrean food often. It was sooo so good. Every topping had a unique and delicious flavor. Meats were tender but firm and the curries were totally delightful. Big plus for being open later than most spots in the bay as well! Also very affordable. We’re coming here again for sure!“

“The food is delicious but lacks consistency. I've ordered the same dishes multiple times and often it's different portions, different packaging, different cuts of chicken etc. The okra soup was super watery today and not slimy the way it should be. I will continue to order because everything else I've ordered has been great. I just wish they still had larger portions for the $25+ plates and a little more consistency.“

“Absolutely phenomenal service. There was a very large party along with other tables sat and Ashely and Antwon handled it with so much class, even when the kitchen was backed up, and even when they were stretched over too many people. Simply incredible personalities and tact. I would absolutely return just for them alone.“

“I love African food, particularly Ethiopian and Somalian food. Recently I started branching out and trying other African cuisine.Meat pie - good but dry. Was premade then not heated very warm. It still tasted good but maybe I'd ask them to heat it up more.Tomato stew with goat - spicy - came with fufu - delicious. We soaked up every last drop.To the guy who was challenged by the texture of fufu, maybe you ate it just by itself? It's much better soaked in stew. Tastes like mashed potatoes with sauce instead of gravy. I think that, like white rice, it's meant to be a base for your entrees, not a side dish to be eaten alone (correct me if I'm wrong).Plantains - delicious - crispy and dry rather than moist as you would get in Caribbean/Latin food - but in a good way (I like both styles).Suup! soursop soda - reminded me of the solution kids use to blow bubbles, only sweet instead of soapy.I don't understand the complaints about small portions. The portions may look small by volume, but like Indian food, it is deceptively filling. The above was enough to make both of us full, and we have big appetites. Plus we had not eaten all day so we were starving by dinnertime.“
