I'll tell you, I couldn't get outa there fast enough when Helga saw that Wiggly Stick come out of the box, I knew right then and there something was about to happen, and man did I run!I was cutting through town like I owned it, and then I saw Bara's Deli and being a Yogi Bera fan I just had to go in and eat again. Well, seeing that I just had lunch 30 minutes ago, all I could muster was a small corned beef on rye sandwich...it was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆“
“I love me a good sandwich in any form and when I was in the area I was surprised to see not too many options in Castro Valley. I came close to giving up and driving away right before I found this Italian Delicatessen. Thankfully it met all of my expectations! These sandwiches are LOADED! They are not shy with the veggies or deli-meat. I tried 2 sandwiches, the Dutch crutch was amazinggg. The sourdough was a true sourdough bread. Loved this place and will definitely come back!“

“What a GEM! And a hidden one at that.Celebrated Thanksgiving a bit early with #ThankYouThursday and decided to check out pot pie paradise after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not normally a pot pie type of person, but with the cold weather, it was definitely the way to go.Pot Pie Paradise is nestled in an industrial part of Hayward so it's a bit of a drive through back roads to get there. They've got a decent parking lot and when I stopped by after lunch time, it wasn't too busy. They have a really helpful menu that shows all the options they have for pies, sandwiches, and other lunch choices. It's also updated to show which pies they're sold out of. I wanted to try the bulgogi beef but unfortunately they were sold out that day. Instead, I went for the Thai chicken curry. The Thai chicken curry pot pie ($10) had noodles, green beans, chicken, and carrots in it. It was delicious! I don't usually have noodles with thai chicken curry but it worked here. It's a pretty good portion for lunch and can maybe even be shared with two people. Though for me, I ended up just having the rest later for dinner.The service was great and the staff was very helpful. I loved reading the newspaper articles they have posted around the shop as I waited. They've got lots of seating inside if you prefer to dine in but I opted to take it to-go.Such a great local business! I'll definitely be back to try other pot pie options.“
“Having being raised in Italy, it's difficult to find places that not only have the quality, but the feel that connects you to your past. This place fits the bill! Food quality excellent! Atmosphere authentic. Whenever I drive through ( because I'm from out of town), I gladly go out of my way to get a small taste of an authentic Italian flavor. I can't really think of abother place with that real feel.“

“One of the only liquor stores in my area that is actually open until 2am! They are always nice to me when I go in to the store. I docked one star because they don't have Bacardi Silver available about 50% of the time. But their prices are standard and they have a nice selection of ice cream and popsicles.“
“Ratto's..... I freaking love you!! Sandwiches are always well made, accurate, fast and awesome ingredients! You don't go light on the pesto. The bread is awesome! We use Ratto's all the time for company lunches and never had a sandwich made incorrectly.“
“I love this place! The owners are friendly and polite, always going out of their way to provide great service. I call and place my order and then drive down to pick up most of the time. They get fresh produce delivered everyday and they have some great potato salad they make that comes with the sandwich orders. The salads are delicious too! Because the ingredients are so fresh I can usually leave a salad in my fridge for 2 days and it still tastes amazing. 10/10 recommend this business #shoplocal“
