“My mother and I visited SLO a few days back and thoroughly enjoyed eating here. As a result of my mother's recent medical complications, she has had to abide by a severe diet that often precludes her from enjoying restaurant meals with friends and family. The NOVO staff, however, were unbelievably accommodating, sitting down with me prior and going in detail over what ingredients she can and can't intake, before prescribing potential substitutions and offering her not just one, but a few options. She LOVED IT! It has been incredibly hard to find restaurants that have been so willing to provide a warm and tailored meals. So thank you to everyone!“
“We popped in here while on our walk from the Apple Farm to Cal Poly. It had been sprinkling so we wanted a hot cup of coffee and my son wanted a snack. My husband enjoyed his Gibraltar (espresso-based drink with steamed milk but less milk than a latte). I had an Oat Milk Latte with Honey Lavender which I had never had before. It had a unique flavor but not too strong. The cup was really big. They seem to only have one size. My son had the Raspberry Crumble Bar and he really liked it. The inside of the cafe is comfy with tables and chairs, plus lounge chairs lining the walls. They have an outdoor patio as well. The staff was friendly.“
“Service was great went over and above for myself and my kiddos. Pizza was really good, crust was fluffy, sauce and cheese on point. If I lived closer this would be my go to. Environment was relaxed.Kid-friendliness: Had a highchair. Both my kids were given a juice box. The lady even gave my daughter a little squishy toy. Made her day!“
“I had received a gift card to SeaBreeze over the holidays and decided to redeem it for my niece’s birthday. I was able to look at all their flavor options online and was not disappointed when I walked in. There were so many options of cupcakes, all so artfully decorated. I picked out 8 cupcakes, day of the party, and the staff even added an extra one free of charge! My favorite was the cookie dough cupcake- the cake and frosting had a great balance and wasn’t overly sweet. I highly recommend SeaBreeze for all your bakery needs!“
“The cream cheese pillow donut is THEE best donut I've ever had in my life. I was visiting SLO for a friend's wedding and on my way out of town stopped to get a donut. I am so grateful while also regretful that I don't live in the same town as this shop. I also ordered a dirty chai late which wasn't the greatest because for my first sip I got a mouth full of powder. I won't dock a star for it though because the donut made everything better “
“Cute place inside. Good vibe. Espresso drinks made with expertise. A bit warm inside on a hit day because the historic garage door is also the front door, which is open. All-gender bathroom is a single, spacious room. Toilet barely flushed.Wheelchair accessibility: The floors and entrance are flat and spacious.“
“I recently had friends over for afternoon tea and macarons. My friends were blown away with how beautiful and delicious these macarons are. They couldn't believe they're gluten-free.It's a real challenge finding quality, delicious gluten-free treats, so I'm happy we have Monika's Macarons in SLO. I stop here regularly to pick up a couple to have with my afternoon coffee. They also have other delicious treats like carrot cake and creme brulee.“
“The food was fresh, yummy and a welcome change from the rest of our road trip food. We ordered ahead to pick up and eat in the car. The order was correct and has all the right stuff like napkins and cutlery. Definitely will stop by again next time we're in town.“
“We visited earlier this week from out of town and had a very nice time at Linnaea's cafe. The employees were so kind, and let my kids feed the fish. They have tables inside, as well as garden seating in the back. We'll be moving to town soon for work, and this will definitely be a favorite spot :)“
“Stop #20 on my quest to hit as many Ike's as possible in 2023 brought me to San Luis Obispo where apparently all sandwiches come with jalapeño and picklesThe service here was great. Super friendly especially to my kids and not at all overwhelmed when I ordered 6 sandwiches and two orders of kids nuggets. Spot was clean, had plenty of seating. Only thing I'd change is adding more lunch boxes to the walls As always the food was top notch and enjoyed by my entire family. Thank you Ike's for your amazing grub“
“A nice local coffee shop! There was plenty of seating inside and outside, which was great for us to be able to enjoy the weather. We ordered vanilla lattes with oat milk. It was a little too dark for our palate and $16 for both drinks felt a bit steep but delicious nonetheless. We also ordered a blueberry lemon poppyseed muffin, which was really good! The baristas were nice and cheerful.“
“Good without being great....I also can't get over the fact that they serve everything in to-go containers with single-use cutlery! What's up with that? You'd think a plant-based cafe would have more of a sustainable ethos. Think about all the unnecessary waste!“
“I have been to both SLO locations, and the breads and treats are phenomenal. The Cranky Turkey sandwich is one of my favorites. I like how they switch up the offerings depending on the holiday season. Pumpkin pinwheels - mmmm. Haven't had anything bad at either location. Friendly staff!“
“The people that help you are great. My experience has been the people getting drinks sometimes are very rude like this morning while I was waiting the woman in front of me it was teaching her two young children, math, and making sure they got it right from the drinks, making me wait in line until they perfected their educational experience of learning how to add their Jamba juices while I wait in line, so rude people have been so rude and the people helping as my experience as a psychologist are afraid to say anything because people are rude to them as well so they just wait and let them be rude to others around them while they know the people are being rude to them, and to those around them get it together rude people I know you’re upset because of the World situation but don’t take it out on others. You’re so rude doing that.“
“Fantastic brunch during our visit to Cal Poly. The sandwiches were very filling and the ice lattes were great. They had nice communal tables and patio seating. The staff was attentive and kept the place neat. Highly recommend if you are visiting town.“
“Woodstock’s is awesome. We order it for our office regularly and went in today for my daughter’s birthday party and they were beyond accommodating. Chilled our cake for us, had tables and our pizzas and salad ready upon arrival, even included cinnabread for the birthday girl. Would definitely recommend for gatherings or parties!Kid-friendliness: Perfect place for kids to have fun, plenty of seating and some arcade games.“
“We visited San Luis Obispo for a few hours while staying in nearby Pismo Beach. Our intent was to shop, but when we saw this place, we figured it would be worth a visit for our ice cream fix. Once you walk in, you are greeted by the amazing smell of fresh baked cookies. While I was tempted to go with a whole ice cream sandwich made with one of those cookies, I wisely chose the half size. You can choose whatever cookie you want (I chose white chocolate macadamia nut), cut in half and then loaded with a generous amount of ice cream. I had both mint chocolate chip and moose tracks. My sister ordered the plain chocolate chip cookie with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Both were amazingly tasty! Unless you're a really big eater, I'd say stick with the half sandwich. We had plenty to be satisfied until dinner! Highly recommend! P.S. The young guy in charge that day was on his own and couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.“
“Food:4; Service:5; Ambiance: 3 (outdoors) We've come here every time we're in the San Luis Obispo area because with the exception of the naan, almost everything else, including breaded food, is gluten-free. We also appreciate the attentive, wait staff and reasonable buffet lunch prices.“
“I prefer this location- better parking. I can only review their Caramel Freeze and it's delicious! We love to put a shot affogato on it (on top after it is blended). One time they were out of their coffee brew and couldn't make us one when we were in town.Ssince we weren't in a hurry we went to the other location downtown.“
“Located in the heart of downtown. This is a great place for all. The food options are suitable for everyone in the family. The is a well maintained, medium sized restaurant . On a nice day they open their large front windows. This gives the dining area a comfortable open air feeling. Their service was welcoming and the portions were satisfying. The prices are competitive. There are public parking lots near the area.“
“Whenever I'm on a road trip I always make sure to stop here. It's just a fun, unique place! The owners clearly love pink! You can see it from the freeway. When you walk in it's like a time warp from the 80's and has that old school diner charm. I have only eaten the breakfast here. I thought it was good. My whole party liked what we ordered. I also make sure to stop at the bakery every time I drive by. The cakes are delicious!! And the prices for these huge masterpieces are amazing! I love the pink champagne cakes and the Black Forest. I still have not been able to get my hands on the carrot cake yet. I hope one of these times. I heard it's delicious. Whenever I stop I always make sure to walk through the entire place. It's just so unique that you want to explore. And I love going to visit all the gift shops. There are a lot and some you have to search to find. Same with the restrooms. I suggest checking them out. They are all unique as well. Completely different just like the rooms of you stay for a night or two. If I did stay it would probably be a one night thing just for the experience. There doesn't seem like much to do on the outskirts of the premises. I just want to stay in one of the cave like rooms and then be able to experience one of their dinners in the grand pink room! I highly Recommend just stopping once at least to see the uniqueness of this property. And you have to buy one of their cool colorful goblets to take home! I buy a set every time!“
“This barn is very unique. Fun experience for the family. You can feed the goats and chicken. Purchase really cool handmade soap and other souvenirs. You will enjoy the little farmer market on-site. There are home made ice cream and more treats.“
