“After visiting a second time I have to say that this is officially my favorite winery. The place is absolutely stunning, the view up there is an incredible sight to see, I highly recommend being up there till sunset! The host is very hospitable and incredibly knowledgeable! I love the mission behind it, to build community and bring people together for a greater purpose, its beyond just a winery. I attended the Allium focused dinner event and it was a great experience. As someone who is vegan and plant based, its such a rarity to have such a place nearby! Its not often you find a winery that serves 100% plant based foods with your organic wine. ?“

“Have really been enjoying the breakfasts at this place. Great chili verde with eggs and the machaca is really good too. Friendly environment and great service. No waiting around for your meal even when they are busy. This cook and owner makes great food. They have kept thier prices reasonable too!!Their kids help too!! “We recently discovered DeRose has a tasting room in the Gilroy area by a recommendation. We have been up to the winery in Hollister, which is a bit of a drive, but worth the time because the wines are all incredible. So we were excited to try out the new tasting room that is much closer to us.The people running the tasting are family and were so nice. They greeted us in and gave us options for the flight and had a Rosé open to try and buy by the glass (I love Rosé and this one was excellent). The first pour was in a chilled glass! We were told to sit down and make ourselves comfortable and they would bring the rest of the wines out to us. We decided to sit outside in their patio area and discovered there is another wine bar working side-by-side with DeRose who also offers wood-fired pizzas!As we sat down, our flights arrived and we enjoyed each and every one. Our favorites were the Viognier, the Zin Rosé (which they offered as an extra pour which made us feel special) and the Hollywood Red. The wines are excellent, but I must give five stars for the service and the special attention the staff provides.We decided to stay and share a pizza and get a bottle of Rosé for lunch. They insisted that they would keep our Rosé in the fridge to keep it extra chilled as the day was warm...awesome people and wine!We will definitely be back as they told us they change the wine options every week. I highly recommend DeRose if you are searching for great wine and a great wine tasting experience. I may be joining the wine club and become a regular...“

“I had my birthday here with about 20 people and it was such a great time and amazing service. Jennifer greeted us right when we arrived with such a warm smile and ensured we had enough tables and seats set up. The wine was delicious and she was very knowledgeable about the different types of wine. I really liked how we can bring our own food and that children are allowed. Jennifer was nice enough to put my cake in the fridge so it wouldn't melt and even came out to put ice packs in our ice chest where our water bottles and cheeses were stored. She often came by to check in regarding more wine, bring water, and clean up cups from the tables that were not used. We all loved it So much that we stayed about 10 mins over and by the time we cleaned up it was about 4:20 and Jennifer did not make us feel uncomfortable or rushed in any way! We will definitely be coming back and also spreading the word about this wonderful place! Thank you Jennifer for all that you did for us!“
