“I often visit this place first before starting my Target trips since I always take long trips a d having coffee while shopping is delightful. It’s good to have a Starbucks in every Target store.The staff are friendly. Sometimes, I got my orders mixed up though. “Located on a busy corner of El Camino and 17th Avenue, this is a convenient location to get a to-go coffee. But beware of the narrow parking lot, especially if you drive a large or wide vehicle. Also not easy to get to the 92 freeway if you exit from the parking lot, as you will have to make a difficult u-turn somewhere on El Camino. Staff is usually friendly and efficient.“

“The service here is really great. I place my orders through the mobile app and very rarely have had to wait for my order. The drinks are always made really well, and the baristas engage with you quickly to get your order out. I really appreciate their great service and consistent drink quality!“
“Thankfully, unlike another Starbucks located inside a different Safeway that I frequent, this location almost always has two people behind the counter for a quick turnaround of orders. While there is literally is another Starbucks right across the street, I like to come to this one whenever I happen to be doing any grocery shopping as it saves me time from having to stop at two different locations. The service here has always been very friendly, and baristas are quick to acknowledge me even if they are busy making drinks or helping other customers. They've never gotten my drinks wrong thus far, and the pastries I've tried here have all been consistently fresh and good.“

“This Starbucks is on Saratoga and Park Place by Whole Foods and many restaurants, there's a long pond with beautiful ducks that are practically tame. There is free parking all day underground. Starbucks on Saratoga is always clean, the bathrooms are always clean and unlike the messy Starbucks at Hillsdale Mall where the men's bathroom always has pee on the floor. The staff at the Saratoga Starbucks is friendly and the service is always great. It's quiet, and it's a great place to get your work done. Better neighborhood, better bathrooms, Better Place to go.“
“This is a wonderful and well-loved Starbucks. It's on the corner of a block with two schools - San Mateo Adult and Career Education and San Mateo High School - plus the SMUHSD District Office plus Woodlake Condominiums - plus one block from an Elementary School. It's in the same shopping center as Safeway and CVS.If you hit it at a busy time - before and after school - yes, it will be busier and you may have to wait longer!It's a small but mighty Starbucks with a fantastic manager. Aimee really knows her way around customer service!Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for mobility aids plus 2 accessible parking spots out front.“
“Attached to Hillsdale shopping mall, great if you need a quick pick-me-up in the midst of shopping. I got here a little bit before the mall opened and was able to kill some time in this Starbucks which luckily operates under its own hours separate from the mall. You do get some weird patrons in this location which makes for some people watching amusement. I ordered some egg bites and it took a little bit of time for the food to come out as there were a bunch of drink orders the staff had to get through.“

I was in a coffee dilemma when my trusty home coffee maker broke down and required a month-long wait for a replacement part. To say I was desperate for my caffeine fix is an understatement.During this trying time, I ordered Starbucks from several different locations, but it was the 4th Avenue Starbucks that truly won me over.My first visit to this particular Starbucks was memorable. A kind woman who turned out to be an employee on her break generously allowed me to go ahead of her in line. We struck up a pleasant conversation, setting the stage for what would become my go-to Starbucks location.What truly set 54 E. 4th Avenue apart was its incredible early-morning staff. Every visit was met with warm and welcoming smiles, and the service was consistently friendly and efficient. Despite my frequent visits, I never felt like an inconvenience. The staff always made it a point to ask for my name and promptly prepared my beverage, creating a personal and inviting atmosphere.Now, here comes the bittersweet part of my review. Our home coffee maker has been repaired, so I'll head to Starbucks less often. However, when that undeniable Starbucks craving hits, there's no doubt that I'll be making my way back to 4th Avenue.
