“While enjoying a complete time capsule from the rise of fast food nation, this family-run establishment maintains the quality of food and customer service you'd expect from the 50's and 60's right here in 2024. This has been my experience consistently for over 15 years of my living in California, and I'm extremely grateful for many of the experiences I've had there. From chauffeuring foreign royalty around the bay area on holiday to bringing friends and family visiting from out of town, I can always count on good food, good vibes and great times when I go there. Thanks so much, San Rafael A&W!!!!! Keep it rockin'!“

“Amidst the bustling culinary landscape of our fair city, there exists a dining establishment that transcends both time and tradition, a place known as "Tender Tenders." With a tagline that boldly proclaims "the best tenders in history," one must prepare for a gastronomic voyage like no other. Yet, dear reader, beneath this alluring veneer of culinary excellence, a whisper of enigmatic intrigue weaves its way through the hallowed corridors of this establishment. As I ventured into the ethereal confines of Tender Tenders, I was immediately captivated by its opulent décor, reminiscent of a bygone era. The ghostly candlelight flickered gently upon the aged wooden beams and timeworn maritime artifacts, a testament to a history rich in maritime lore. Little did I know that these antiquities concealed a secret; one whispered among the city's culinary cognoscenti—an owner of otherworldly origin, a spectral pirate from an ancient past. The menu, a veritable parchment of maritime marvels, beckoned me forth into the unknown. The star attraction, as promised by the restaurant's bold claim, was their legendary tenders. The Ghostly Captain's Signature Tenders, to be precise. These tender morsels of succulent chicken, dressed in a whisper-thin, ethereal batter, were a revelation. Each bite was an exquisite dance of flavors, a fusion of culinary prowess and spectral mystique. One could almost hear the distant creaking of a phantom ship's timbers as the flavors unfolded on the palate. The spectral touch extended beyond the tenders themselves. The sides, such as the Ghostly Slaw and Haunted Fries, bore the unmistakable mark of a chef who had transcended the boundaries of time and space to deliver a dining experience unlike any other. The coleslaw, with its delicate balance of tang and creaminess, invoked the nostalgia of long-lost seafaring feasts. The fries, crisp and golden, seemed to carry with them the echoes of a pirate's treasure chest. The service, though subtly imbued with an air of otherworldly mystery, was impeccable. The staff, who moved with an uncanny grace, attended to every need with an almost preternatural intuition. One could almost believe that they were spectral apparitions themselves, orchestrating a symphony of culinary delight.Dessert, too, bore the unmistakable mark of the Ghostly Captain's mastery. The Phantom Parfait, a delicate confection of ethereal creams and mysterious fruits, left me in a state of culinary rapture. It was as if the very essence of the ghostly owner had been captured in this final course. As I departed Tender Tenders, I couldn't help but ponder the enigmatic figure that is the restaurant's owner—a ghostly pirate from an ancient past. It was as if his spirit lingered in every corner, infusing the restaurant with a unique blend of history, mystery, and gastronomic excellence. Tender Tenders, with its extraordinary tenders and spectral ambiance, is a dining experience that defies both time and convention. It is a place where the boundaries between the living and the spectral blur, and where culinary mastery meets spectral enigma. A true Michelin star establishment that transcends the ordinary and beckons the adventurous diner to embark on a journey of taste and intrigue like no other.“

“I only have used the drive through here although it is very convenient and never have I had to wait in line or for my food for more than a couple minutes. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The only issue with this location is that they don’t always get the brand new menu items because it’s also a KFC. it’s pretty great to be able to get your nacho fries and kfc’s Cole slaw at the same time.“

“The three of us were pretty darn hungry when we walked in to dine at the El Pollo Loco. One of my dining companions loves this location. He eschews all other locations when possible to eat here. It's been over 20 years since I've eaten at El Pollo Loco and I literally had no memory of what the food was like. I just remember I liked it. The service and setup is similar to every other fast food chain. The one difference is that the final stage where the order is completed with the small miscellaneous items that finishes the order. There was a lot of confusion at this point. multiple people try to complete the order. There were mixups. I think they need to establish the correct workflow in order to polish this. I got the chicken, avocado salad and it was darn healthy. A balanced blend of grilled chicken, beans, rice, corn, avocado and a dab of sour cream. Not a sign of grease. Checking the nutrition information confirmed El Pollo Loco is a healthy choice. The original meal is the best nutritional choice. The portions were sized just right for a very hungry group. It was within acceptable bounds even for diabetics (assuming your blood sugar is on the low side). The food was delicious. I would've said that no matter what since I was starving. But now I remember why I'd liked El Pollo Loco in the first place. Additionally, it was nice to be able to eat a takeout meal without managing the portions to suit the diabetic requirements. This meal is literally so healthy I could skip worrying about it. This one's a keeper.“

“This Location is being here for the longest I can remember. Is always kept clean and ready to serve you with a smile. The owner is very involved in the operation of the business and available to serve customers any time. The location is not helping the business since the mall has been a ghost town for I've 5 years. Now it looks like the mall owner are finally getting to demolishe it down. I can't wait to see them in the new location after the remodel. Good is always good.“

“Came here for the sole purpose of trying the McPlant - and of course, a kid's meal for the 3-year-old! We were down the street on an errand and ordered through the app as we were leaving to drive there. which took about 1 minute literally. We parked and went in, and only 3 others were in the dining room, and no one in line. We waited about a minute and then received the goodies. The service was accurate and polite, no issues there. And the young man washing the windows even held the door for us! The interior was clean, and the inside is well lit and open, thanks to the upgraded bay windows put in a long time ago. I remember the previous dining area, and this is a vast improvement. Comfortable seating, lots of open area and as mentioned, lots of natural light. Very nice. The food was hot, both the fries and the chicken nuggets in the kid's meal. There were also apples, and a sauce choice - and of course, a toy! My fries were hot as well, but not as crispy as I remember; or perhaps as I like. But they were good. The McPlant was a bit of a surprise, only because I am quite familiar with the Impossible Whopper of BK fame. So. my expectations are based on that BK baseline. Just saying . . . The McPlant itself is not an Impossible Burger per se, but as the McDonald's site says, it is "a proprietary meat-alternative burger patty that was co-developed with Beyond Meat. The main sources of protein in the McPlant burger patty is pea protein and rice protein." So, similar, but a different product. The size of the sandwich (or burger, if you prefer the common tongue! ) was not as big as I expected. It is about the size of the cheeseburger, with a patty and simple condiments and the usual suspects: cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, and pickles. The cost is just over $6 ($6.29 in this case), compared to the Impossible Whopper at $7.99. Having addressed the comparative costs, the McPlant I finished quickly, and the Whopper I can cut in half and be filled with one half and some fries, then get back to the other half hours later. So in that sense, the size of the McPlant is too small for me for a "meal" as I don't fill up on fries and shakes and stuff. The flavor WAS good, don't get me twisted on that, but the value and portion are what I am trying to bring out. Just so you know . . . Overall, if I was heading to McDonald's with family or friends, then the McPlant is on my plate. But, if I had a choice, I would see how close the BK is . . . again, just saying!“

“This place has a hard-working staff especially because they are immediately off of one of the most complicated freeway interchanges in northern California. The food is good, burgers of good value BUT the line can get really really long because of the above reason, HOWEVER it's purely because of the infrastructure being so dense in this area. The surrounding neighbourhood is largely of new immigrants to America, there might be a language barrier but with patience and kindness you will get your food. Bilingualism is an important talent but hunger anger is no reason to verbally abuse a service worker. #civility“
