“Everything was good with clearly the potential to be great. Maybe the best thing was they were extremely busy, but unfortunately that affected our service and food. They had lots of to go orders happening. Food was very good except we didn't really enjoy the baked scallop salmon. The people are very nice and welcoming. The space is very small, but makes it quite quaint if you like that. I will definitely go back for another experience!“
“Music is great. I don’t know why there aren’t more 5 stars. Compared to every other similar ramen restaurant they don’t charge automatic service fee, they aren’t more expensive than another restaurant I was comparing. I went to a place down the street for pho and they wanted me to pay additional money for more meat and they claimed their large size had more noodles and meat, but based on my experience that’s a lie. Anyways, the music and the interior design here is great. I hope this encourages more people to come enjoy the ramen here.“

“I had a delicious dinner from Chonmage last night. I've meant to try them for ages, and I'm so glad I finally did. I got the spicy miso ramen without meat, and damn, it was good. Chonmage is the only restaurant I've visited in San Rafael that makes something described as spicy as well... appropriately spicy. Typically, I need to visit restaurants in Marin multiple times and get to know the servers a bit before they give me something that brings the heat. That's not the case here! :) I asked for my dish not to have meat, and they substituted a nice amount of tofu. The broth was rich, flavorful without being too salty, and perfectly cloudy. I usually ask for chili oil to add to my ramen, but I didn't do that here and wouldn't have needed it. The noodles were cooked well, and the veggies were fresh. I ordered takeout and the customer service over the phone, and when I picked it up, it was very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant looks cute, and I look forward to returning and eating here in person.“
