“Had a pleasant experience at Menu Fan. We visited couple of times during our trip to SB. Service was very attentive, food was tasty (with no MSG!).
Although, the drunken noodle which we specially requested to be "Mild spicy" was quite spicy due to the chili flakes seasoning. The quantity is on the lesser end and would be nicer if it were more.
Overall, a solid 4/5“
“Their menu lists various options for vegetarians and the friendly staff know what vegan is and can adapt many of the dishes. The yellow curry was very aromatic, but the sauce on the cashew nut tofu was a bit bland. Both dishes came with lots of tofu, and with the rice were very filling.“

“Third time here. The food is tasty and the portions are very generous. We got pad thai, yellow curry and fried rice. There were large shrimp in the pad thai and fried rice. Not a dine in place, get take out. We’re new to sb and glad we found it! We’ll be back“

“The tamarind chili chicken wings are fried to perfection. It's thr perfect crispy wing covered in a tamarind tangy sauce. Pickles chillies are sprinkled over for a subtle crunch and slight heat. Would definitely suggest as an appetizer. Don't be afraid to ask for more heat.“

“Excellent food, on the fine line between traditional Thai food and western taste. Everything we ordered was excellent. I especially enjoyed the mango sticky rice. The place is a bit similar to Thai in Thailand, nice, not amazing. The service was absolutely good.
Highly recommended.“

“During our Santa Barbara trips, we always enjoy delicious Thai food and red wine at Galanga Thai Restaurant (507 State Street). My top pick on the menu is the stir-fried Pineapple Fried Rice that includes shrimp, chicken, onion, peas, and carrots. I also really like the Crispy Egg Roll, Fried Wonton, Crab Cream Puff (crab meat and cream cheese filling), Shrimp Roll and Steamed White Rice. The Galanga is a family-run Thai restaurant that has been serving authentic and original recipes since 1983. With a focus on fresh produce and balanced flavors, they carry forward the rich culinary traditions of their founders, Ponphan and Chareonsak. The head chef, Wantana, grew up in Bangkok. This restaurant, named for the key Thai ingredient galangal, features dishes that evoke the taste of home-style cooking. If you go, enjoy!“
