Not sure why the ratings here have gone down. I love this place and it's been pretty consistent as far as I can tell. The Orenchi Ramen is my usual...and it's really good. brought my Japanese friend from Nagoya and he loved it. So yeah...not sure why the rating is low-ish. The egg is perfect...the broth outstanding, etc. It's just a great meal.
Orenchi is one of the ones that started the Bay Area "Ramen-craze", oh so many years ago - 15 years ago. The perfect sous vide egg with a creamy yoke, not overcooked that other places. Delicious thick broth and chewy bouncy ramen. It has been a while since I've last been here. They remodeled over 2 years ago. Great food. Great service. Not too loud, but decent noise considering it's small for the amount of patrons they get daily. Ambience is casual, mid tone lighting. Wait line tends to get long though.
