“Socalo is consistently great. Everyone I introduce it to ends up returning on their own. Everything is great here, the food especially of course (the menu is innovative with kind of a classic base and the ingredients are very high end). Somehow though, they manage to keep the prices reasonable. The staff is really nice, the design and atmosphere are beautiful both during the day and the evening. I love that it's an all day restaurant so you can even grab a meal or a snack during in-between hours. This place is kind of a sleeper favorite and because it seems to be under the radar a bit, getting a reservation is always easy. I truly love this place.“

“Places like this is why I like to travel. They weren't even on my list, but they were across the street from my hotel and playing good music. As soon as I checked in and settled into my room, I dodged traffic to grab a drink and listen to some tunes. They have someone playing every night. They don't have an extensive alcohol list, and I didn't see any liquor, but they had beer, wine and bubbles. I tried all the IPAs they had on tap, Garage something was the winner. I ended up going multiple times over my two day stay. Chatted with the bartenders and some of the customers and musicians. All cool people, GVO. Sunday night I only caught the last two songs of the set, but Monday was open mic and they had several decent musicians that played a couple songs each. I was impressed, but as you can imagine, talent levels are starkly different for LA artist and Pascagoula regulars. So I might not be the best judge if you're really an audiophile. No cover but that does show up in the price of drinks. Come for HH though if you want to pregame for the shows.“
“I went there to watch a Lion's game. It was already at capacity, so I had to wait in line for a little while. Luckily, I could see the game from outside and keep up with the game.Once I finally made it inside, I found out they were out of cider and hard seltzers. They only had beer, white wine and red wine. They ran out of wine around half time too.Overall, the ambiance was amazing, the crowd was great, and the staff was super friendly. I just wish they had more gluten free options for food and drinks.“
“My wife had looked at a few menus before our trip to the Santa Monica Pier and had her heart set on the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. “This is an L.A. bar with an NYC feel…post gentrification. A good place for an intimate situation or for bein’ a gaggle of gays and theys. Not sure about the pricing as I was treated to my libations, but the service was friendly. I appreciated the attentiveness. They have high tops on one side and soft seating on the other with bar seating in between the two.“
“LA Ale Works in Culver City is awesome! They have trivia every Tuesday, hosted by Lucky Guess Trivia, and specifically trivia master Drew. The questions are challenging, the host is hilarious and it's just simply a good time! The bar itself is cozy, drinks are great and added bonus that it's dog friendly. :)“

“Delicious burgers and standout fries in a very pretty location by the water in Marina del Rey. You order at the counter then they serve you indoors or on the patio. Getting a table is a bit tricky and they aren’t too fast to turn them / clean up, but that doesn’t detract from a tasty burger!“

“Super easy. Super casual. Not a fancy wine bar at all. But, they offer many different beers, wine and and a casual bar. My only complaint is that the SPARKLING ROSE COMES IN A CAN. the menu needs to say "in a can". I wouldn't have have ordered it had I known. There's a stage, there's space for all to enjoy and not have to worry about bumping into one another. They have a pretty big bar and they also have a patio area where someone can smoke and chill. The artwork at ArtBarLA was STUNNING!! Definitely check it out.Parking could be a bit annoying but there's ample parking around the corner, in the residential area so that was pretty cool. Ingredients are all fresh and craft beer and wine selection is outstanding. Salads are bountiful, original and delicious! Gratefully this palace of pizza is walking distance from our house. It’s worth the trip as you will certainly return again and again. Their official opening is not for another week and we were blown away with tonight’s meal. “As some have said, perhaps not the strongest drinks (definitely not by my 'lush-like' standards), but they were quite tasty. And of course they're not cheap; you're in a theme park! Line looked pretty long but moved quickly. Enjoyed our Tiki Tai (their version of a Mai Tai) and the cool looking cup (easy to stow in a backpack when you're done). They are pretty strict about IDs, which I get, but I was surprised that I wasn't able to grab Jim G.'s drink for him as he went off to the restroom. Every person who orders a drink needs to pick theirs up; even if I had his ID in my hand, they wouldn't have given it to me. I do understand the strictness, but it caught me off guard, especially as I had to start enjoying by beverage while standing up at the bar waiting for him to return. Definitely enjoyed sitting down for a minute enjoying a bit of the tropics!“

From my experience the service is usually pretty quick as they understand you are in the airport and may need to jet off to your destination. “A hidden gem! Recently went her for drinks and dinner. I was a little hesitant when we drove up but once inside I was pleasantly surprised. The team working there were very friendly and the cocktails were great! We got the P-51 Mustang BBQ sliders and the fries and it was amazing. This is not bar food but slow cooked short ribs that tasted home cooked. I will definitely be back and highly recommend you give them a try!“
