“We came here just before leaving on our way back home. I love the quaint relaxed atmosphere with friendly service & people enjoying themselves. The bartender is very friendly & knowlegable; I had the beer flight which had everything from a refreshing lite beer, a porter that had notes of chocolate; vanilla, & caramel; an ipa that was not too overwhelmingly hoppy, a stout that was crisp & nutty. I got a can of their raspberry beer, stout, & porter to go (they have sell by the can as well.) I was not disappointed & will be back to try their food. So, for wonderful beer in a quaint relaxing atmosphere with friendly service at reasonable prices, Woodhouse cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.“

“Gilman is a good, solid brewery (as far as breweries go). The beer is good beer. I haven't had anything super memorable, though, until my last visit when I tried the black IPA. Now, that was a good beer. They're closed on Monday and Tuesday, which sometimes makes me sad. They have a great patio space- even though it's on a busy street, part of it is secluded. They have a good amount of seating inside and the service is always friendly. I hadn't eaten here until recently. Even so, we only had an order of fries. Which, even though they sat long enough to cool down before they finally brought them to our table, magically retained a lukewarm crispiness. We wistfully (and out loud to one another) imagined how amazing those fries would have been had they made it to us hot. Overall, Gilman is a good place to add to your regular rotation of breweries in the area (just not on Monday or Tuesday). They have a nice vibe, decent beer, lots of parking, plenty of patio space, and cornhole. I'll let someone else here review the food, for now.“

“SC Bread Boy is a cheeseburger savant. The burgers were absolutely perfect. Chef Lance smashed them so beautifully that they came out with this gorgeous, lacy beef skirt and they're just oozing with cheese. The buns are squishy, the pickles are plentiful and crunchy, and the onions melt in your mouth. It was our first time, but I think the menu changes. This weekend, we got:The OG: DBL Patty, DBL Cheese, long cut Pickle, Onions, Burger SauceButter Burger: DBL Patty, DBL Cheese, whipped whole fat Sriracha butterMarket Salad: Red Butter lettuce, Winter citrus, Daikon, Parm, Red wine vin (the salad was just as well made as the burgers! it's a real treat. get it!)Tip: The fries have this extra crispy, craggy coating that make them extra delicious. So get your own fries. You won't want to share! We got extra burger sauce and homemade buttermilk ranch to dip them in.Humble Sea itself was 100% chill. People brought their dogs and their kids and the staff was super friendly. Hubby tried 3 beers and loved them all. He even bought a 4-pack. And I was super stoked to learn that they also serve cocktails and wine. The margarita I had was simple, but good.We will definitely be back because what's better than amazing burgers and beer on a cold, rainy night?“

“Review based on 2 visits.First off, anything that comes from the fryer is top notch. This is no small thing, as I would argue that the majority of places do at best a pretty good job, leaving things just a bit greasy still and not totally crispy. Their fries (garlic and regular and sweet potato) are perfection, and the onion rings are the best I’ve had short of fancy tempura-style. The smash burger is very good. I think the patties could be a bit thinner or maybe just use one, to get that perfect meat to toppings ratio, but that’s a personal preference. The ribeye steak sandwich was also superb.Oh, and if you like grits, these are second only to Brenda’s in SF / Oakland.Great beer selection (St. Adarius rotating tap), have yet to try a cocktail. Will definitely be back!“
