“Pillbox had good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Solid slightly above pub grub style food, good beer selection and friendly staff. Can’t go wrong. Really liked the overall feel of this place, and would be a regular if I lived in the area.“
“Best in the city for vegan white pizza!! I was super exhausted to cook one day and decided to look for a vegan pizza place and oh my, this was the best place I ever tried! I called barely 5-10 minutes before closing but they were so nice they stayed back an extra 15 minutes after their closing time to make sure I got my order! (When I say I was exhausted, it was an under statement so it TOTALLY made my day!!) I am soooooo waiting to go back next week with friends! The pizza was nice and fresh, delicious and for someone that doesn’t like artichokes or olives, on this white pizza they were soooo GOOOOOOODDDDDDD! I a full hundred percent recommend this place.“
“Craving for Korean Tofu soup and didn’t want to drive too far. Was looking for a good substitution.Overall, food quality is 3.5; serving 4; ambiance 4 (has a sports bar vibe).Bibimbop(stone rice pot): the pot is not hot enough to make a single burnt rice. Taste OK.Cheese tater tots was excellent when it was right out of the kitchen and hot.Seoul spicy sandwich: hugh portion but not spicy at all to the person’s standard.Service was good. We got seated promptly. Food orders were at good time interval.“
“Bbq chicken delivers exceptional service and delectable fried chicken that's worth the wait. From the warm welcome to the perfectly crispy bites, every moment is a delight. Savor the experience, indulge in their mouthwatering offerings, and let their impeccable service elevate your dining experience to new heights.“
“Great local spot and my go to dive bar to watch sports and enjoy bar food. They have wing wednesday and my top picks are there philly cheesesteak with fried green beans, lemon pepper dry rub wings, and the bratwurst. Service is unique and puts a fun twist on letting you know your order is ready with funny names. Cant go wrong with any if their beers on the wall, i typically go with the #15 or #22 hazy beer“
“This place has really good dishes and some really bad one. Most reviews here mention their Salted pepper Chicken wings, and there's a reason for that. They are the best dish in the entire menu in my opinion, maybe even Mira mesa. 5 stars for sure. Their salted pepper squid, walnut shrimp, cream cheese wontons are also really good. But where they lost me was anytime, I ordered something crunchy that is coated in a sauce, such as orange chicken. There's just so much batter that just absorbs the sauce and it becomes a soggy unappetizing mess. Anything that is served in a broth/soup is completely bland and flavorless. This place has some really great food but also really bottom of the barrel dishes. Figure out what you like, and just stick to that. Other than that, Restaurant was clean, servers were nice and attentive.“
“I very rarely post 5 star reviews & truthfully I could dock them a half star for ambiance. However, the chicken is so good they get the full score! The chicken was crisp, but still juicy. The slaw and pickles added a nice sweet savory crunch complemented by the Devil Garlic sauce (half dozen choices). Turning the brioche bun inside-out to make a waffle bun is genius! The glazed side in keeps it from getting soggy & the pressed outside gives even more texture. The Cajun seasoned fries have flavor without being hot and were perfectly crisp. Probably the best chicken sando of 2024 for me & always a pleasure to support a small family business!“
“The young man who was our waiter was very nice and checked on us often. We came for lunch on a Thursday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It looks like they do a lot of take outs though.I got the lunch combo which came with two drum sticks, and four wings. I chose half and half: soy garlic and spicy. The spicy had a kick and was definitely spicy. So good! The soy garlic was a little sweet but still tasty. The pickle radish side was just a small condiment cup of cubes. The seasoned fries was a better choice.“
“If you’re vegetarian and craving pizza, Dough Momma is the place to be. I’m not a thin crust kind of gal but their toppings surpassing my favorite pizza joint.I had the Burrata Margherita ($29), class cheese ($22) and Vegan (23).The margherita is one of the two highest price pizzas on the menu. Make sense because it’s all fresh ingredients with tomatoes, Burrata, mozzarella, no sauce but drizzle with a white garlic sauce and garnished with basil.I never eat cheese pizza but I love the cheese pizza here. Basic red sauce mozzarella. I like it because it had more sauce than cheese. If you want to know if a place is good, check out the cheese pizza. Dough Momma passes the test! The Vegan was fully loaded spinach, olives, red onions, roasted tomatoes, herbs and balsamic reduction. Some pizzas are offered by the slice. At first glance, the garlic knots could pass as a mini cinnamon roll! They have cookies and wide selection of beers and alcohol.Parking sucks but it’s in a cute neighborhood with outdoor seating.“
“The food was really good. I was amazed by the speedy service. The service was amazing as they were really nice and kept checking on us. The outdoor atmosphere was great, however, there was only one restroom and it was always occupied. Other than that, I will return to this location. Great job.“
“Nice smoky and spicy flavors; as Marc Murphy says, "seasoned with authority." Very nice staff. The cucumber pickles took me right back to my childhood, to family dinners on the High Plains, prepared by my bachelor farmer great-uncles and an unmarried aunt or two, who had their Southern roots in their memories. Yummmm!“
“My visit to Ridgewalk Social was really good. Greeted by staff as I walked in and told me there is no rush to order. They recommended me to get the fries because its their most popular. I was excited since it had been a minute since I've had loaded fries, and it hit just right. Very delicious but not the best meal if you're on a cut. Definitely need at least 2 people to finish this. Sadly, the downside is that it was REALLY REALLY greasy. Had to pull out some napkins and dry it up because you could even taste the oil more than the fries. Still good tho!“
“Wanted a place close to Mira Mesa and had never been since it changed ownership or rebranding to become a sports bar/pool. We sat outside and ordered from the happy hour menu. The bar pretzels and cheese and vegetarian cheese balls were the highlight. We had burger and pulled pork sliders, fries and samosas. We also ordered drinks at happy hour price. It was a good experience overall. Not fine dining but we left satisfied for a good price.“
“Saturday night was my first time at Jimmy O's even though I've lived here for 12 years, I can't believe what I've been missing! Hannah was our bartender, and she honestly made it such a fun night for us! We asked her to make us something fun and she did not disappoint! Her drinks fit the mood - happy and light! The crowd was friendly, will definitely be back!“
“The pizza here is not cheap, but they are usually pretty decent. However, I noticed their quality can be a bit inconsistent at times. I had the same Pepperoni pizza from here last week and today, but the quality difference was day and light (posted pictures from last week and today). Last week, the cheese melted perfectly, the pepperoni was crispy, and the dough was soft inside/crispy out side. Today....however.... the cheese was stiff like pizza that just got out of fridge, the dough was stiff, and the pizza overall was super greasy and salty. I wish the quality was more consistent.“
“Their smash fries are amazing! Loved the shoestring fries and the seasoning is freakin delicious! Loved that it's crispy yet soft in the inside. Something I know I will be ordering again. Their double avocado burger was juicy and bun was soft. Service was quick and inside has plenty of seating. You can help yourself to the condiments and utensils by the fountain drink machines too.“
“I didn’t know this was a popular Japanese chain when I chose to come here but I was excited to try a decently rated fried chicken place. I would say the chicken is definitely good quality Asian style fried chicken but the sides were sub-par.I ordered the 8 piece Signature chicken (not the boneless or wings) which was a nice & decent variation of drummettes, small wing, and a tiny breast piece. I chose the garlic sauce and I really like the flavor. It was slightly sweet and garlicky. For sides, I ordered the onion rings and was disappointed. I had a few but the rest wasn’t worth stomach space. I also had the seaweed roll (kim Mari) which was ok but it felt liked I needed soy sauce for it.Overall, great for the chicken but can’t recommend the other sides.“
“This was a very pleasant surprise for us. We went here for a March madness day for lunch, not expecting much. The food was fantastic… the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was 5/5, the hangover burger was a 5/5, the kids loved their meals too. Beer selection was solid, volume of TVs was more than enough, and the service was top notch. We actually wanted to go again the next day and got stuck in typical socal traffic and it got too late… next time in town I guess.“
