“STEPH JUDGEMENT: Charming atmosphere and good food, but slightly uneven service. We were staying at the hotel and decided to try it for breakfast. It had an adorable retro 1930s vibe going on, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered a coffee and their smoked salmon and latke (same as hash browns), and was pleasantly surprised by an unexpected poached egg. The hubby ordered two scrambled eggs and "cool ranch" hash browns (basically cool ranch dust). Everything was delicious, but after the server dropped off our food she was nowhere to be seen for a while, and it took some time to settle our bill. Luckily we weren't in a hurry, and I believe they had just opened, so I'm sure the service will improve as they get their bearings. I'd definitely like to try them again when next in the area.“
“This Mercado has so much to offer. Your pallet will not be disappointed with the many different restaurants you'll fine in here from some of the best see food to Oxacan food. Artesanias de Mexico are one thing you'll be thrill to find here.“
“Originally we wanted to go to San Laurel but they only open for dinner. So Agua viva was our second option but, it turned out as a present surprise. Outdoor seat was a bit chilly but good vibe with LA downtown look down view. Service is nice. Good Spanish wine list, foods are just amazing. Never disappointed by Jose Andrés restaurants. Everything was great, and the best was the dessert. Very creative, nice presentation and of course delicious. Highly recommend this place and we will revisit por supuesto!Parking: Valid parking is $15 with validation.“
“Inside this small shop lies wonderful food!Family recipes and a desire to share fresh, authentic Mexican food and sweet treats have been a gift to the lovers of exceptional flavors. Tortillas? Fresh and made here.Main dishes? We had wonderful Birria de Res and Carne Asada, with flavorful refried beans (not canned, mind you) and Savory Mexican rice. Such excellent food is sure to make this little shop a favorite for you and yours. The owners are dedicated to preserving family recipes and offer everything to make your meal memorable from Jarritos sodas, to fresh Horchata, wonderful main dishes and flavorful desserts. If I sound effusive in my praise, it is because this little comfortable and inviting shop offers quality food that simply blows away larger restaurants or any chain shop I've ever tasted. There is simply none better in my humble opinion. Try them today, you won't regret it!“
