“This is not a review about the place, but a review about a person that works here. His Name is Raz and let me tell you that this guy will go above and beyond for you. My wife and I were visiting the coffee place next door and lost our keys. We thought maybe we had lost them in the parking lot so we went next door to see of maybe somebody that visited the place next door had turned them in , that's when we met Raz. If the owner personally knows Raz just know that he went above and beyond to try and help us and we hope that if there is some type of employee compensation for his actions because his care, time, and compassion he displayed made our unfortunate situation go alot easier. We are visiting from out of town and I had my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Eventually we found our keys but as mentioned before if it wasn't for Raz our situation would have felt worst“
“George (the owner) and his staff were incredibly hospitable and source food consciously. The baba ghanoush and falafel were INCREDIBLE, even by comparison to dishes I've had while travelling in the middle east. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego! Well worth the drive from down town (better quality, better price). Bonus for LOTS of vegetarian and vegan options.“
“Portuguese inspired coffee shop with a pleasant outdoor space. Their lattes are hit or half-hit, depends on who your barista is. Their tarts are amazing. And their vibe is excellent. The loaves of sourdough they sell are made by a local baker. I wanted to love it, partially bc I love the hype, partially bc it was like $15, but honestly it was just okay. Prager Bros is still light years ahead.... Still, the place is fun, good quality, and adds a lot to the neighborhood.“
“Believe them when they say they offer large portions! Every salad option and specialty plate is easily shareable and very fresh and delicious. We dined in and took home considerably more than ate during our visit. Looking forward to trying other menu items and having leftovers for days!“
“Not only does this Luna Grill serve outstanding food, but its service is above and beyond. When a server realized that a small item had been left out of our curbside delivery, she chased us down to be sure we got it. We really appreciated her effort, and we loved the meal of flat grilled chicken, rice, hummus, flatbread, carrots and tzatziki. Just delicious! Thanks, Luna Grill!“
“As a Moroccan who lived most of her life in Morocco and the rest in baja cali. I love to come to this place and eat their food. It really makes me feel home and I love the taste and every bite of their food especially the hot Moroccan tea. I highly recommend this “
“I've been coming to this restaurant for decades. The location and staff have changed over the years, but still the same great owners. The staff is still friendly and attentive. This is a casual yet somewhat upscale feeling spot, and it has wonderful Greek food. Some of the best gyros, avgolemono soup, and lemon chicken around. I've never had anything I'd didn't like here. Good breakfasts too! There are some outdoor tables in front, an enclosed patio that isn't quite outdoors, but it has really good airflow, so you get a quasi-alfresco feel dining out there, and the interior has a nice warm, homey kind of ambiance.I love Olympic!Parking: They have their own lot in front, plus a few spots on each side and in the backWheelchair accessibility: It's all level, no steps“
“Great vibe here ! Staff was nice and very helpful. Food was amazing and the manager Christian really made me feel welcomed. He guided me through the menu and suggested his favorites. My kids left a bit of a mess…,as I was cleaning up they came to tell me they’d take care of it!! Really made me feel like a guest. Thank you guys ! Will be coming back soon.“
“I am so happy I found a middle eastern restaurant so close to home! This spot is a hidden gem. They have dishes that are each uniquely seasoned and plated. I’ve been a personal fan of their spicy baba ganoush which they really had a good kick to so it’s actually spicy and it is served with tasty pita, the first batch was bit crispier than I prefer but second round was pillow soft and warm! So far I have tried their betyi which is essentially your choice of meat wrapped in lavash bread and cut into bite sized pieces topped with a delicious tomato sauce and served with yogurt. I got one with lamb one day and the other day sirloin. Both equally delicious! I also have to give them the award for best lentil soup in town! Man that soup is hearty and soooo flavorful! My aunt also gave them the award for best falafels! Typically you get falafel and it’s like a hockey puck! But not here, they’re soft and delish! Also they have one hell of a baklava and serve it sandwiched with ice cream! I failed to snap a pic because that thing lasted 0.3 seconds at our table before it was devoured. Definitely coming here whenever I crave middle eastern food.“
“Would leave 6 stars. Robert and Brandon took great care of my fiancé and I. The food was delicious as always, and the service was impeccable. They didn’t have the bistro beef kabob I ordered and they provided a wonderful alternative which was the lemon garlic chicken kabob including an extra side of fries, AND A $30 FOOD COMP FOR OUR NEXT VISIT.The only thing I’d change about this place is the music playlist. Thankfully the food, service, and overall atmosphere greatly compensate for that. Thanks guys!“
“This place is excellent. The restaurant is very clean, food is quality with large quantities and very tasty . I had never had such a great Hamburger for a long time. The staff and the owner are very respectful and polite. I want to say thank you for such a great food.“
“My friend, who is a native Iraqi, took me to Happy Time and I was blown away by the authenticity and deliciousness of the food. We ordered a sampler of things and the kanaf at the end was simply mouth-watering. Five stars for the food, service and friendliness!“
“Best Gyro's. Stuffed with lots of meat, diced veggies. A little of everything with every bite. Very, very fresh.Always feel welcomed with every visit. If there are any slight issues with anything, they go the extra mile to make it just right. This place is Awesome and of course, so is the food. Also LOVE, LOVE the beet salads!“
“Abbey, our attendant was friendly and greeted is with a smile...good customer service! Brought our food to the table quickly...thank you kitchen staff. Abbey followed up to see if our food was good and if we needed anything. Food is healthy and filling. Yum! Thank you Rancho San Diego staff!“
“As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated right away. A great start to an even better meal! My fiancèe and I ordered the Honeymoon latte (vanilla latte sweetened with honey) and a Dirty Chai to start, both were super delicious, beautiful and handcrafted to perfection. For our meals my fiancèe ordered the Beefee Benedict which is served with Kufta (think Mediterranean "meatloaf" with robust herbs and spices) and a house blend cheese on top of English muffins and a made from scratch Hollandaise sauce. And I had ordered the Shakshuka "Special" which is on the regular menu, that's just how they named this dish and that comes with grilled onions and peppers, Kufta, two sunny side eggs in a rich and perfectly acidic tomato puree and houseblend cheese with a house made Bread dome on top of the whole dish. Delicious is an understatement, the food, the drinks the atmosphere, I mean everything fit so prefect. They have a little taste of different cultures and offer healthy alternatives and everything is made in house and I could not say anything bad about this place. 10 out of 10 recommend and we will definitely be coming back to try other amazing dishes.“
“The food was absolutely stellar. The flavors were all there and I honestly will be coming back frequently. The service was great. The gentleman working the entire restaurant was super friendly, and him doing so much alone didn't compromise a single thing. I'm telling you, this is the spot for when you're craving some Mediterranean.“
“We come here weekly. The food is really fresh & made to order. It’s also affordable & delicious. The family is super nice & with just a few added words in Arabic; hello & thank you the sweetest smiles are added to my order. Salaam & shukran!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free, vegetarian, lactose free & even keto options.Parking: I always find free parking out front in the lot or on the street! Easy peasy.“
“I’m obsessed with this place. It’s family owned and they’ve been around for a while. I’ve been coming here since before the pandemic. The food is top notch and they give great portions. I typically get the gyro plate & hummus. The man who takes the orders is always so friendly and sweet. It’s an all around great establishment!“
“Adorable spot tucked into a small part of lot.Owner came out and helped us with the menu; hand delivered folks’ food even with a pick up window; and owner even tossed in a small side of fries for the pup.Hidden walkable gem in north park/city heights cusp. Owner clearly loves what he does and cares for his customers; genuine smile the whole time we were there.Service: efficientFood: outstandingVibe: chillOwner: legendHotel: trivago“
“The food is so good that I can't stop thinking about Allthe things that are so good and the fish is amazing the Patatachap is so good with rice your smoothies are great and clean floors amazing customer service backround is nice how you cook is amazing the gyro is so good thanks nana Fofo Waseem mark martin James for all the things that you make you guys are so helpful five star of course“
“I have always been satisfied with the food and service at Mal Al Sham. However, I believe they need to improve their seating system. They should either have a designated person to handle seating guests or implement a system that uses names and arrival times. When my family and I arrived, the lady at the entrance informed us that we would be seated next in 5 to 10 minutes when a table became available. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, another family arrived and the person near the door ignored his colleague and seated them before us, even though we had arrived first. This goes against the principle of first come, first served. and in this case, favoring customers over others is how I see it.Apart from this issue, the food is excellent and I consider it to be one of the best Arabic restaurants in San Diego. I always recommend this place to others.Vegetarian options: Falafel is our favorite vegetarian optionParking: Very limited“
“I never write reviews…even when I really really disliked a place…but I’m literally writing this right after I ate here. First of all, I think the lady that helped me order was named Alexandera…well give her a raise…I haven’t had a better customer service experience in such a long time! And that’s on top of how good the food was! I had the Chx Cream Chop Wrap…and wow! So good!!! And when you add that red sauce that it came with…seriously…mind blown! Not only will I come back…I will tell everyone I know about this place!“
“This Luna Grill is in the heart of Millenia Chula Vista. Parking is decent but can be a challenge in the weekends. The food is as expected top notch, albeit a little on the pricey side. Service is prompt but expect to wait 10 minutes for your order. Overall a very nice place to grab a delicious meal when in the area.“
“I came here bc as a child, my somalian neighbors would give me sambusas and wanted my tastebuds to reminisce, and did they. The sambusas were so flavorful & the fufu with beef & spianch soup were exquisite!. i can not wait to go back & get more !l“
“Excellent food quality, portion, and flavors. Ordered the chef special and was pleased how fresh and pleasant the seasoning, sauce, ingredients were used. The owners were friendly and helpful with explaining some aspects of the food. The casual setting with picnic tables outside felt accordingly to the environment. Sadly I was too eager to enjoy the food to take a photo for presentation.“
“Delicious food (tender lamb, great rice and vegetables all marinated great) ... My kid loved the spaghetti and hummus with ground beef . the chicken salad with light and tasty dressing. Appetizer samosa chicken deal super delicious. Good flavored hot tea and milk. Very gracious service , comfortable family friendly environment“
“It was a great experience visiting Luna Grill. I was ordering for several people, to be dropped off at different locations, and they had no problem bagging things separately. The manager, Roman, worked with me closely to create a safe dish for allergies, including subbing out the pita bread for extra rice. We will definitely visit again! The restaurant was clean. There was a short wait in line when we visited around 2pm, but no line after that. Two of the drink options were out of order.“
“I tried the Beef and Lamb Shawarma plate. The portions are large so you can probably share this plate. Ordered it with Rice and Salad. Also came with hummus. Everything was delicious. I also tried the whole fried chicken wings which were also very tasty. So if in the mood for Gyros. You definitely should try this place out. Also has many other options on their menu. It's located in the Fiesta Market .“
“The gentleman that served my meal was very kind. He even showed care in details that I’m not used to being asked: “1 or 2 cups of ketchup?” “Would you like ice in your drink?” I don’t know of any other place that takes the time to show they care and ask the details. He was very kind and respectful and the food was good!“
“Sorry, there are no pictures to share even after 2 visits. I was so impressed with the flavor, portions & selection here. Their plates consist of your choice of protein & sides. Honestly, if you buy 2 kabobs, you can easily split the sides such as hummus w pita, saffron rice, Greek salad, etc. And their sauces are self-served. Fiery red & cilantro jalapeño. It's very tasty & worth the trip! The steak is thick but tender, saffron chicken is flavorful!“
“Does and done to heaven. Their Thursday oyster happy hour special is delicious. Handcrafted cocktails will not disappoint. Service is ok as it is extremely busy during dinner. You don't get a ton of attention. However, I feel that the quality of the food makes up for it.“
“I was in El Cajon for a work trip & staying at a hotel nearby. I found Sultan on maps, saw the reviews, & opted to try it. & oh my god. I'm sitting in my hotel room alone giddy with joy eating this baklava. It is so, so good. The man that helped me answered all my questions & steered me towards great choices! I can't recommend enough!!!“
“"Ok, Google, find a Mediterranean restaurant near me that's open for lunch." I was not led astray when I was directed to Alfinjan. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and initially asked for rice instead of fries, but was told I should try the fries because they "cook them differently...you know, to stand out." And stand out they do...crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I don't know what the secret is, but trust these fries. But really, who even cares about sides when the shawarma is so perfectly cooked. Moist, juicy, with that slight crispness... It shared space with lettuce pickles and the most delicious creamy garlic sauce... With I think just a hint of tahini. You know how sometimes tahini can be too sesame forward or salty? This was not, it was truly heavenly. I wish I had snapped a photo, but I was too busy enjoying the food. Highly recommended for both food and friendly, helpful service. I will be back soon.“
“Wagyu beef and the chicken were really tender and melted in your mouth! Prices are a little steep for a food truck. I had a few items to share: wagyu beef and chicken plate was really good and delicious rice! The lemon cream chop fries were great the first half of the portion, I think I got over with the lemon taste after that, but the breaded chicken on top was great.I also tried the Greek wrap. I felt like it was soggy and had "too much going on outside the wrap" for my taste.Overall, I've had this place twice in a week, I would go again, but I feel that Guy F. From food network really helped put it on the map.“
“Really fulfilling food ranging from delicious and fruitful salads, to wraps, and gyros. The portions are shareable and the service was great. There was one person working the entire store, so it did take a little bit of time for the food to come out, but no problem there. The man was super helpful with suggestions. We chose the 2 protein plate, a gyro, and the strawberry salad. Everything was really hefty and not skimpy, and full of so much flavor. Will definitely be coming back.Vegetarian options: SaladsParking: Lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“Late dinner, not real busy was nice, not loud, food was really good we really enjoyed it. Nice people, friendly.. food was warm and tasty. The hibiscus water was delicious and homemade, not too sweet. I'm definitely coming back.Parking: The lot is shared with 7-11. Wasn't busy when we went, but it may be busy depending on times and days.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Mystic Grill in La Mesa, and it was an extraordinary culinary experience. This hidden gem offers some of the most delightful Mediterranean cuisine in San Diego. The standout dish for me was undoubtedly their hummus. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, it's no exaggeration to say that Mystic Grill serves up the best hummus in San Diego. Paired with warm, freshly baked pita bread, it was a match made in food heaven. The menu here is a treasure trove of Mediterranean delights. From the succulent kebabs to the aromatic shawarma, every dish was a burst of authentic flavor. The quality of ingredients and the skilled preparation really shine through in every bite. What's even more impressive is the pricing. Despite the exceptional quality of the food, the prices at Mystic Grill are incredibly reasonable, making it an ideal spot for both casual lunches and special dinners. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place for a date night or a gathering with friends. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive dining experience. In a city known for its diverse food scene, the Mystic Grill stands out as a hidden gem offering amazing Mediterranean cuisine, particularly their legendary hummus. If you're looking for a taste of the Mediterranean that won't break the bank, this place should be at the top of your list. Don't miss the opportunity to savor their delectable dishes – you won't be disappointed!“
“this is my place... I've never had a bad experience. Clean establishment... fresh...and made to order Mediterranean cuisine. I recommend the chicken schwarma...the fries are a must... and the strawberry apple walnut Salad is my favorite also. way to go Tak Grill.“
“This is a small family owned greek sopt, hidden treasure in grossmont food court**Their suppliers compete for quality**They deserve a 5 star reaturant in la Mesa tbh;I really think they should start a go fund me, I'd love to contribute to their goals!!“
“I love this place. They are always pleasant and greet you when you walk in. Food is amazing every time. Even for a small business they seem passionate about what they do. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to taste authentic East African cuisine.“
“Just had a great meal delivered via DoorDash. I ordered the kabob combo - beef and chicken. The beef was super tender. Generous portion. Loved the flavor of the tzatziki. Really enjoyed it. Definitely the best DoorDash I've had. Travelled well! Probably even more delicious in person. Will absolutely be ordering from them again.“
“Wow, this place is DELICIOUS!I'm not in the area much and utterly unfamiliar with the restaurants here.I had to pick up some donations in the business park nearby, and when I saw the sign "Mediterranean," I took a hard right into the parking lot, LOL!I ordered this falafel plate, and the falafels were SO good! So is the bread, which was made right before me. They have a fun window to watch the bread made in the oven. This place was a fantastic find, and I can't wait to return and bring my husband and friends!“
