About Ramen Seas

Ramen Seas in Sunnyvale offers a variety of delicious Japanese dishes, including seafood ramen and pork donburi. The stewed meat is soft and tender, and the karaage and takoyaki are perfect. While some items like the egg and fried stickers could be improved, the overall experience is great. The restaurant has a nice decor and comfortable noise level, with fast and friendly service that many customers find very attentive. Although some dishes, such as the grilled veggie curry and veggie curry ramen, received mixed reviews—particularly regarding the freshness of the vegetables and the broth consistency—the authentic flavors and quality of the food still make it a popular choice for Japanese cuisine. The menu has been updated to include rice bowls and hearty pork options, such as stew pork instead of sliced pork. Vegetarian options are available, like Veggie Curry Ramen, which can be tasty, especially when made spicy, and Miso Ramen for a lighter veggie choice. The noodles are delightfully chewy, and the dishes are served quickly, often with leftovers to enjoy later. The cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff add to the overall positive experience, though some customers note that the small space can have a noticeable seafood smell. The restaurant is known for making the oyster fry nicely and offering great dipping sauces, maintaining its reputation for flavorful, authentic Japanese dishes. While typically there is no wait during the summer, there can be a line during the colder winter months.

Fresh & tasty ramen plus other items served up quick in a friendly atmosphere.

Very good, especially when comparing to other options in the Sunnyvale area where it's kinda slim pickins. My mum is Japanese and would approve of the food here, although not give it a 5-star rating as I am doing. Mine is actually a 4.75 but let's be sweet today.

The pork donburi was delicate in flavour and hit the spot. Wish the egg wasn't icy cold. The fried stickers were a bit too fried. The karaage was PERFECT and so was the takoyaki. Great decor and noise level. Guy...read full review
