“First time here tonight (on a Friday) and what a cute place! Love the little wooden bridge as you enter the restaurant, cherry blossom faux tree and Japanese decor. “Loved this place! Super fresh ingredients and very friendly staff. Ordered the Nam Tok Salad, the Chicken Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) and the Isaan Larb Kua. Everything was really tasty and the server was great about explaining the spice levels. The Nam Tok and the Isaan Larb Kua were especially delicious because of the use of lime juice -- that tangyness paired with the spiciness and the savoriness in both dishes was a winning combo. In terms of spice level, I'd say that I usually like spicy food and handle it well, and the Medium was just right. There are additional chili sauces available if you want to dial it up a little bit. Very generous portions and I was honestly quite stuffed. The price is also ridiculously low and I have to say this is one of the most amazing value Thai places I've ever been too -- the pad kee mow was $12.99 for the chicken version!! They were making pickled chilis on one of the side tables, which is one sign you know this place is legit -- when they make their sauces and condiments from scratch, by hand. Really looking forward to my next visit here.“

“Glad Hurry Curry has reopened after closing their Sawtelle location. if you are new and don't know what to order, try the chicken cutlet curry and the Chicken pasta with Alfredo sauce. The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“

“I live about 5 minutes from Sawtelle and Seoul House of Tofu is where I go when I am looking for quick and decent soon dubu without making a trek out to Ktown. When it comes to parking, the lot can be a bit of a nightmare due to the busy Sawtelle location, so I like going during the weekday when it's not so crazypants there. Walking in, the restaurant itself is chill. The food comes out quickly and the portions are generous enough. The quality of the food is also good, standard. I wouldn't say it's the best, most fantastic place, but it'll satisfy my cravings! The service is good and it's usually easy to find a seat, even when it's busy. The thing about Korean food on the westside is that it is freaking pricey!!! We ordered the pajeon (Korean pancake) and a galbi/soondubu combo. The pajeon was $17 (insane to me) and the combo meal was $30.. but HEY, they know there's a demand for it on the westside and can get away with those prices! My favorite part about dining on Sawtelle though is after my meal, I usually treat myself to some boba, ice cream, or egg pancakes (all of which are sold in the neighboring businesses). Despite the high prices and high-traffic area, I will likely come back to this restaurant many many times.“

This time we also ate the night we were leaving. The manager and her staff were so accommodating to us. The food was excellent. “My spouse and I visited the Olive Garden in West Hills on Fallbrook one evening for a quick dinner. My expectations from a standard restaurant chain was not high, but it was quick and easy. But let me tell you, this trip to Olive Garden was like no other. The food was good as usual, but one person made it very special and personal. The manager, Darren Mazyck went absolutely above and beyond with our service and experience that evening. He was very friendly and tentative to all our needs.He assisted us with our dinner choices, and recommended a unique dish that was out of our usual confortable options. At first we were hesitant, but his charisma and demeanor made us feel confident in his ideas. Sure enough, this was by far the best dish we have had from Olive Garden. He made sure the food was hot and cooked to perfection, and followed up with us shortly after to see if we enjoyed his suggested dish.We then spent a few minutes talking about it, and the way he carried himself felt like we were spending time with a friend, rather than a waiter.In conclusion, this trip to Olive Garden broke the norm of what we were used to and from here on, we only want to come back to Fallbrook. “One of the best pho spots in West LA! Per recs, I got chef's special and it was LOADED with tender ribs and tendon. They gave us a free bun thit - which they made accidentally and it was SO delicious too! Definitely recommend ordering the egg rolls as an appetizer. “My wife caught wind of this spot from a SFV local, said this was where his family ate often when he was a kid growing up in Reseda. He said it was the best Mexican food in the Valley. Aye, he was right. The food is clean, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. I mean for most of the menu options you're basically getting two meals. You enter through the door on the east side where there's a line leading up to a cashier area. The menu will be all over the wall to the right of the cashier. The ordering was pleasant, although I had asked for a tostada con machaca (shredded beef) which was on their menu. However she put "con carnitas" in the system, when I told her I wanted shredded beef not shredded pork, she looked at me blankly and said they didn't have that. I relented because I was hungry and had 4 guests with me, so I asked for carne asada instead. The burritos are massive. Grandma got 2 carne asada tacos; she ended up splitting the double tortilla shells and making 4 perfect tacos. That's how much meat they have! Our boy got the chicken soup, which was delicious! When I'm in need of comfort, I'll come back for this. My tostada was delicious, I ate the whole thing! My wife only ate half of hers though. There's a healthy portion of meat in there and the sour cream/guac toppers were heavy handed! The sodas you do yourself - they have two fountain machines. There's a salsa bar that I wish was bigger, the traffic is always heavy around it. The dining atmosphere is like being at your abuela's house - we had the kids snag a table and give us some time to order. The place can be super busy, but the vibe makes you feel comfortable in the chaos. All love for this place, I'll be back soon!“
