“Great fresh ingredients and always the best in the area. We like the food. Very delicious and great service. Manager Elen is the best always helping all auctions and making sure that they provide the best service. Very clean and quick service. Child friendly environment and make sure that you visit once and become a permanent customer to taste fresh Asian and rich food there.“
“The lunch special was great, I got the shrimp and lobster sauceThe interior was clean, nice decorations , and they still have holiday decorations up! Great ones!My server was Jeff and he was so polite, checked in on me regularly, and gave me some great recommendationsI’ll be coming back for dinner as well“
“2024 update: dined in for the first time and was underwhelmed with the food. Chickpea curry is decent, kaya toast is decent. The dan dan noodles are straight up not good! Extremely salty and fatty. Skipped dessert (unheard of for me) because the main dishes already made me feel so heavy and unhealthy.2022 takeout review: The laksa is incredible. It is easily two meals (can serve two people). I'm not a spice person and this was at the upper end of my spice tolerance but not too spicy. A side of clay oven bread is really good to dip in it. My only complaint was I ordered takeout and my order was ready 15 minutes later than the original estimate.“
“Considering it was a Saturday night, we were seated pretty quickly, and the food was actually really really good. It's becoming harder and harder to find good Chinese food in the San Fernando Valley but I did like this place. The whole family really enjoyed the meal the price was reasonable plenty of parking as it's in the mall.“
“ServiceI was so impressed by the staff. Over multiple visits, consistently the team is so knowledgeable about their menu (ingredients, preparation, avoiding cross-contact) and is so attentive and kind. I want to particularly acknowledge Paul (manager), Matt, and Landry for excellence in service. I was struck by how well prepared the team is.FacilityThe restaurant itself is very sleek and beautiful. There was a long wait for a table, but it was well worth it. The restaurant has a nice system of texting you when the table is ready so that you can explore the mall while you wait. There were many private booths, and also large tables. I also saw a private room in the corner.FoodOf course they have their famous dishes but I also want to highlight some of their other dishes that we particularly enjoyed:- Tofu noodle salad (fresh and tasty appetizer)- Taiwanese cabbage (light and flavorful)- Boba milk tea (not too sweet at all, more black tea forward)“
“Pork xiao long bao: 4/5 Beef noodle soup: 4/5 Three cup chicken: 5/5 I was pleasantly surprised by dan modern chinese. We tried the classic pork xiao long bao, which were absolutely delicious - thin dumpling skin and loads of soup inside. The beef noodle soup was great as well. It's not the rich beef broth that I was expecting - it's more of a light, refreshing broth, but still very good! And finally the three cup chicken was super flavorful and delicious. Great service and a very nice ambiance.“
“The size of everything is double the size of normal dim sum. Their portion size is crazy be careful how much you order! Food is made to order! Comes out piping hot!! The food is 100% authentic. So delicious HUGE! Great jasmine tea. Funny and friendly staff. Clean inside. We had sooo much left overs. Plenty of seating. AC. I will definitely come back again. Again. And again.“
“Visited my daughter at UCLA. We wanted Asian food and headed to Sawtelle. Walked up and down the street and saw many places that looked inviting. We settled on Dan Modern Chinese because we saw dim sum on some tables that looked good. We ordered soup dumplings, dumplings, bok choy and noodles. The dumplings were very good and the noodles and bok choy were decent. I would come back for dumplings but would pass on the noodles. If you crave dim sum, this place will satisfy your craving but dont expect much from the noodles. Noodles were thick and chewy with a gravy like sauce. Homemade noodles but not the best.“
“We have been going to this place since my daughter is 10yrs old. New owner upgrades the place looks so amazing, very clean and bright. The staff are very friendly, fast service and accurate taking orders. Food so delicious everything is fresh. Price very reasonable or I should say affordable. When we are lazy to prepare our dinner, just go straight to Bale Valley. I highly recommend Bale Valley to you all, those who been to this place 100% agreed with me.“
“P.F. Chang's never fails to impress with its flavorful and authentic Asian cuisine. The Mongolian Beef is a personal favorite – tender beef, crisp green onions, and just the right amount of heat. Pair it with their signature Chang's Spicy Chicken for a perfect meal!“
“By far the best Chinese food that I have ever had. You know it’s good when you see how many Asians eat there. Portions are smaller. Prices are higher. But they good news is they finally they take credit cards!Dietary restrictions: Can be a little high in sodium. So ask for no MSG if it bothers you. Or just drink lots of water. ?“
“Food was great. Orange chicken and grilled bok choy was tasty. Large portions. Not sure what they are going for as fast atmosphere, kinda like a military chow hall. Metal cups? Odd.Had to ask for some items twice. Will return for those big portions, will have lunch for the next day.“
“First time at Bao and it was fantastic. We place an rder for two and the clerk took our order with ease. 15 minute wait and we took our food home. The food was fabulous tastes and piping hot. Excellent Choice and next time we dine in because the atmosphere was very comfortable. Thank You !!Parking: Parking is plentyful infront of the restaurant in a parking lot of there place.Wheelchair accessibility: No problems wheeling into this dining area.“
“Solid dim sums close to UCLA! This is my first time seeing fried red oil wontons and they blew my mind! Each wonton comes with generous amount of shrimp in it and they're so juicy they squirted when I bit into them! The outside is thin and crispy, and the red ou drizzled on top is flavorful and aromatic. The chive dumplings are solid too. The soup dumplings however disappoint. Their skin is too thick and lack chewiness. Also it's a red flag that they come in tin foil cups. The service is ok and the ambiance is honestly bad because they're all outdoor seating right next to the roadside without any decoration. I think the items are slightly overpriced considering that they all come in plastic containers and disposable utensils and packet dressing.“
“Ordered for delivery directly through the restaurant and they deliver it themselves like the old days very cool. Delicious food. Classic chinese food at fair prices. Just got the standards to get an idea but so far the family approves. Kids DEVOURED combination chow mein, they're hard to please. Other dishes orange chicken, black pepper beef, and egg rolls. Everything was tasty, not overly greasy, hot and fresh on arrival. Beef was very tender and chicken pieces were a little on the small side but actually white meat and NO gristle at all. Decent amount of shrimp in the combination chow mein, overall meat level was above average. Showed up slightly earlier than promised, friendly driver, can't wait to try other dishes.“
“quiet peaceful place The workers are also very friendly and take their work seriously.Parking: There are paid hourly training sessions and a waiting area for passengers in total it will be difficult to park there if you want the car to be right next to that very restaurant“
“When I lived in Encino, I ALWAYS ordered from Ping Pong. In fact, I ordered from them so much that they knew who I was every time I would call. They always went significantly out of their way for me…often even delivering me my food after hours! Beyond just the fabulous service, the quality of the food is absolutely outstanding. With Chinese food, I often find myself feeling like I’m eating a lot of fatty chunks of meat & it could taste like it’s been sitting out for a while. This is certainly NOT the case at Ping Pong. They’re food always tastes so good! They clearly use the finest quality of ingredients and serve by far the absolute most freshly made dishes. They are definitely best Chinese food place I’ve ever ordered from. I must mention though, they are a bit pricier than my others. Personally, I think it’s well worth it. The quality supersedes the higher price tag! Highlyyyyyy recommend“
“I thought I placed an order online. After 1/2 hour, I went to pick it up at about 6 pm. They did not have it. (My fault) However, they promptly got my 2 items ready and even offered me a snack. Great service, kindness, and especially food. The shrimp with lobster sauce was actually very tasty, and I had no urge to add my own garlic and other spices to it.“
“A great restaurant for the best authentic Chinese food. My favorite restaurant in the LA area. The customer service is always excellent ! I love the everything on the menu so many options. If you are in the area give them an opportunity and it will change your mind.“
“Santa Monica's Chinese gem excels in takeout brilliance. Swift service, generous portions, and vibrant flavors define each dish. Despite the takeout-only format, every bite is a testament to their commitment to freshness and quality. A must-try for a quick, flavorful culinary escape.“
“A pleasure of food. Come eat and enjoy.Fried eggplants from Eden-10Rice includes everything, seafood, vegetables and meat-9Excellent green beans -9Noodles with beef pieces-8A huge, deliciously filling Van Van soup suitable for 4 people. The place is on the main street, a small, quiet, inelegant place, the food and service here speak volumes!“
“Chin chin Brentwood is the best location. Garret Jessie and Roxane make you feel like you’re at home everytime I walk in the door. I often come to chin chin over other restraunts due to the workers at this location. Today I had great service with Pam and Wallace who had great energy. I look forward to coming into chin chin Brentwood again soon. Forever grateful for this restraunt and its workers.“
“Right out of the gate, let's talk noodles and beef – it was a mix of 'wow' and 'hmm' at this spot. The Dan Dan noodles? Absolutely killer. They hit the table faster than I could decide on a drink, and every bite was a trip to flavor town. But then there was the beef – promising but ended up being a bit of a chewy endeavor, like it was doing its best to join the gym. We also jumped on a promo for crispy pork, which initially came out as cold as the reception at a rival sports team's home game. To their credit, they fixed it up quick, showing some real class in the service department.Overall, the vibe was friendly, and the service had that nice sparkle you don't find just anywhere. But when it comes down to brass tacks, the meal was a solid 6/10. It had its moments, sure, but nothing that would make me sprint back. Pricewise, it was middle of the road – didn't make my wallet cry, but didn't make it sing, either. So, would I go back? Probably not. It's like that movie you saw once and kinda liked but wouldn't bother seeing again.“
“Food came quick me and my sister ate here the other day .. funny server lol made a racist joke but aside from that . We asked him what should we order cause I haven’t ate there in 8 years or so . Good noodles and some crunchy shrimp BIG PORTIONS …“
“Very authentic Chinese restaurant featuring some western province Chinese dishes. Beef noodle soup, lamb paonk, cumin beef, red braised ribs, chinese mo sandwich are all really yummy. They have some american chinese dishes like mongolian beef and sweet and sours but they’re subpar. I get it, these dishes don’t exist in China so it’s not their forte. When in doubt, order whatever you’re not familiar with and it’ll be legit.“
“My family comes here almost - every month, and we love their food. The workers know us for years and is very nice, watched us grown up. Really good food, and overall nice place.Vegetarian options: It is labeled vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, and easy parking.“
“Went there for the first time for lunch the other day. It was good food but not life changing. Their menu does look interesting they have some health options. We will be back to try more items in the menu. The service was a little slow for the amount of people there. But we agreed to give it a second chance.“
“The food here is excellent, the place is really small with about eight tables, but pleasant. There's a little wait sometimes for ordering. All in all highly recommended. The other day I had their dinner special for $15 which included a Thai iced tea, an entree, a salad and shrimp fried rice with a couple large shrimps. Incredible deal and extremely tasty.Parking: There's a big city parking lot next door. There are also meters.Wheelchair accessibility: There's one step that's about 6 in into the restaurant.“
“I hope we have well passed the times when people wince when I mention a restaurant in a shopping center/ strip mall. When you decide to go to Hot Wok the first thing I want you to know is that all the staff is super friendly. Everyone will talk to you and make you feel truly welcome. As for the food, my wife and I started off with gyoza. It was perfectly fried as they had a nice crunch. My wife had the egg drop soup and I had the hot and sour. Both soups had great flavor but I preferred the hot soup.As for our meals my wife went with the cashew chicken lunch special. This dish had a truly great flavor. The contrasting textures added a great dimension.I went with the fried pork chop in Peking sauce. I am truly a fan of pork chops, especially fried. They were perfectly fried, they were tender and with the sauce a little messy but we’ll work it.I can’t wait until my wife and I can go back to try something else.“
“This has been our go to since 2009 Food: everything here is really good especially their orange chicken Service: great Ambience: it's clean HOWEVER, the quantity of the food they give now is less when we first tried them out. They are becoming to be like Panda Express serving size.“
“It's a place you drive by and not even notice. But it's definitely a place you should stop at. The food, price and portions are great! I had sweet and sour chicken, rice, noodles, and orange chicken. It was so good and made probably 3 meals for me. Will be coming back. Thank you!“
“My favorite, go-to Thai food in LA and the best krapow on the west side. Better than any other kra-pow I’ve found here by a mile. Noodles are amazing. Always nice and extremely fast service, very reasonable prices. Every once in a while I’ll try somewhere new and I always come back here.“
“Their black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon) is my family’s go-to when we are craving korean food. It comes with picked radish as a side dish and they are pretty big. The dumplings are also juicy and delicious. I have yet to try the other dishes, but would like to explore more food from this place.“
“Solid hotpot. Little expensive but flavor is good for the Sauerkraut and Golden Soup options. The noodles comes uncocked. It's better to heat it up first in microwave if to go orders or at the restaurant, you want to let it cook for 3-5 mins in the soup.“
“Went in for an early dinner on a Saturday. Had the daily special of Chicken green curry, salad, egg roll, and white rice. Great flavour! Not so much food that I felt bloated afterwards. Service was prompt and friendly. And the price was great, too! ($14.50) I’ll be back the next time I’m in Van Nuys.“
“This is the best Chinese food in all of Sherman Oaks--and believe me, I have looked. I moved here from having spent my entire life being surrounded by good Chinese food, and I was depressed at the lack of options. Until I found Bamboo Cuisine. This place does Chinese food the right way, authentically and super fresh! It's a little bit more upscale/pricier than your local Chinese takeout spots--but the price you pay is absolutely reflected in the quality of the food. I love that it's also family-owned, and the servers actually speak Chinese (and obviously, English)--which is important to me. I came here on Lunar New Year once as I was feeling home sick, and was so touched at their good mood, and accommodation. They ended up sending me home with a complimentary quart of soup, which was so kind! My usual orders are Yang Chow Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, Bamboo Chicken, Beef & Broccoli--but truly everything I've had here is delicious and authentic. I order from them at least once a week!“
“I saw a post regarding this place and decided to stop by to try them out, the post I saw showed that they were very generous with their portions, I can confirm that they do serve humongous portions that you can just barely close the lid of the food Container.I ordered the chow mien/fried rice with spicy pork and 3pcs fried chicken wings, I love the spicy pork, the fried rice and chow mien were also good. They have other foods I have to try out.The servers were friendly and professionalThe dining area feels kinda divey but functional and clean, I came in around 5:30pm, not sure of their operating hours. I looked for and didn’t see a sign stating their hours, I wish they have a self serve soda fountain instead of selling them by the can.Parking: Mini strip mall type parking lot“
“The food from this place was out of this world, the server wasn’t the best, but the food that made up, for they close down their dining, so they only need to take out didn’t stop me though, because we ate it in the car, amazing, amazing, amazing, trust me“
“We were staying in a hotel in Westwood following surgery. Ordering online was a challenge so we called the restaurant, who helped us tremendously. The food was excellent, on time and payment was handled easily. Highly recommend this restaurant and will eat there again.“
“One of my favorite restaurants to this day, have known the staff for quite some time and have always joined the food. Food is pretty cheap for the size portions as well. As for the ambiance of the place its not longer dine in but when it was it felt very home like and comfortable. As for now its only takeout.“
“Amazing soup dumplings that are larger than din tai fung, pretty good for a place that calls themselves modern cuisine. Servers and hostesses are super nice and made accommodations for food allergies. Great place for a quick and simple lunch. Thanks TJ!“
“I came over around the afternoon, after being done seeing customers walking out with stuffed bags. I finally decided to try the food. The staffs are really nice, the food is BUSSING.I would definitely recommend the teriyaki chicken, spicy beef, or black pepper chicken. For soup, it would be miso soup, egg drop soup, wonton soup, and the beef noodle soup. If you looking for a crispy snack i would say the cheese wontons. They're super crispy and flavorful. The cheese is warm and melts inside your mouth. I would say the best combo would be steamed rice , shrimp and veggies, with teriyaki chicken. The chili oil makes everything taste 10x better! Be sure to ask for extra or you'll regret it.THIS IS NOW MY GO-TO PLACE FOR LUNCH!Kid-friendliness: They are super friendly with kids! They also have a couple toy capsule machines for kids! ( tattoos, balls, mini keychains, fake gold accessories, and more! YOUR KID WILL ENJOY THIS PLACE!“
“We ate there about a month ago ordered a couple dishes few sodas. I think we spent around $55 and for a family of four with rising cost these days that was a good deal not to mention the service was good we got free hot tea which I love and the food tasted good tasty but not super salty Will be back!“
“My absolute GO TO for great Chinese Food!! This restaurant reminds of the great Chinese food we used to have growing up on the east coast!I always get the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp lo main. And they have great portion sizes. Even my parents eat from here when they visit from the east coast!!Thank you Emperor Express!!Brandon Larkins“
“This is for delivery only. My favorite items here are the wonton soup, all the soups are so good, . Orange chicken. Moo shu chicken, chicken and vegetable. If you live in the area, delivery is fast and everything arrives Very hot and delicious. I recommend it for delivery.“
“Was surprised they had my favorite shrimp and broccoli dish which they call imperial shrimp delicious!! But the real winner was when my bf ordered the orange chicken definitely the best I've ever had! Love this spot best Chinese I've had in LA“
“On Sunday we ordered takeout. We ordered spicy noodle soup . Unbelievable depth of flavor and texture. A bit spicy but the taste was far beyond my 74 years of experience. Amazing taste and intriguing flavor. Next we ordered the 703 shredded pork with Beijing sauce and the Szechuan shredded pork. Both had a great taste and flavor. It seems that almost everything on the menu is very good to excellent. Service and staff are always very pleasant except when very busy. My other regular soul is seafood hot and sour which is great on a cold night. Please give them a chance. You will enjoy there offering s.“
“A great stop for some great Chinese food. I had the Teriyaki Chicken on white rice. Very tasty. Too bad Fried Rice is not an option in place of white or brown rice with your entreé. Fried Rice is a side dish. You order, sit down and your menu selections are brought to your table. Bathrooms are available. Parking is provided in a small courtyard next to the restaurant. The Chinese Chicken Salad is a popular selection! It was very tasty, especially with the sauce.“
“Great service, so quick to give a table and bring the food, they even pack your food to go if u have left overs and also give you some fruit as desert with fortune cookies, loved it, it was first time coming here and ill be coming back here, thanks for the service 10/10“
“AMAZING!!! This place is genius and delicious. I wish it were located closer to home, but well worth the drive. Prices are great, food is incredible, and to top it off...VEGETARIAN!!!! I'm far from vegan and love Chinese cuisine, so this place giving me the great taste without the negativity of eating a lot of meat...perfection!“
