“Dined in at 2pm on a Friday and there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. I was greeted by the worker at the register. She asked if I was dining in or take out and I told her "dine in." I was seated and given the menu, plates, utensils, and even pickled radish right away. I took some time to study the menu and both workers checked in to see if I wanted any recommendations. One of the guys was very knowledgeable about the wing sauces and the menu but I didn't get his name. Eventually I gave them my order and I waited about 5 minutes and my food came out one at a time. Cheesling Fries (9/10) - The cheese powder on the fries were amazing! It wasn't too overpowering or too cheesy. The fries were hot and crispy. They even drizzle it in the secret sauce. It was very well balanced together. Rose Ddeok-Bokki (8/10) - The first few bites tasted like it needed more seasoning and flavor. The more I ate it, the better it got. It was not spicy for me and it was a great combination of creamy with a small but of tang. The rice cakes were soft and chewy. It was also very delicious overall.Secret Sauce Wings (8.5/10) - The chicken wings were very fresh. The batter was still crispy and the sauce was sweet, tangy, and sticky. It reminded me of my favorite childhood Chinese dish, Peking Pork Chop or sweet and sour pork chop. It did get soggy once the wings sat too long. Soy Garlic Wings (7.5/10) - The soy flavor overpowered the garlic in these wings but overall a really solid choice. The wings were also hot and crispy with a sweet and salty sauce. Overall, the food is 8/10. The service was 10/10. They checked in with me at least every 10-15 minutes. They gave me napkins without asking for it. I had a very pleasant experience!“

“COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is of a decent size. It's not too big nor too small. It's just right. This parking lot doesn't get full very easily or quickly. Parking spots sizes are perfect too. Food: I ordered the BRC burritos. A classic and favorite burrito of mine. The BRC stands for Beans, Rice, and Cheese which means you get protein, carbs, and calcium. It tastes amazing. I actually added some Costco rotisserie chicken into it and rewrapped it. That's why in the picture, it looks bigger. Everything has a noticeable flavor and texture so it goes well together.Staff: The staff here are very friendly, nice, and fast. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.“

“If I could give the service a 10000/5 I would. The entire staff was AMAZING. Attentive, thoughtful and all around kind guys. The chicken tenders and the comeback sauce were so flippen delicious! If you are nearby, this is a MUST STOP destination.“

“My husband is from India, so we have eaten a lot of flavorful foods. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We ordered the five taco plate and sides of corn, mom‘s beans, the vegetarian beans, potatoes with chorizo, corn, and rice. We also tried the coconut rose milk lime drink, and the cucumber salad . My husband, especially like the jeera chicken and corn. I loved the Carne Asada and goat tacos. The green sauce is fabulous. The fresh house made corn tortillas also really take the tacos to the next level. We really enjoyed our meal here. Kudos to the owners for taking such an interesting fusion risk and executing it well.“

“This place was amazing. We came it with a group of 10, and we got set up with a table right away. They got our orders quickly, and then appetizers and food came out just as quick. However, the food was probably the best Korean fried chicken I have had in a long time. The sauce flavors were delicious, chicken was crunchy. Definitely have to try Korean BBQ , Lemon Pepper (dry), and the Sweet Chili Wings. Even the Bulgogi Pizza was great. Great little hole in the wall spot. Will have to come backWheelchair accessibility: It's a dive in location off the strip of the downtown location. Entrance is level with sidewalk, so wheelchair can roll right it, and there are a couple tables that can be set up with wheelchair seating. I can not vouch for the restroom as I did not check.“

“My friends and I had lunch this afternoon for the first time at his establishment.The food was delicious. We recommend the different saltado dishes as well as the tallarin Verde con pollo.The atmosphere was great. We enjoyed the outdoor patio as seating was comfortable bench style with shade covers plus a large screen TV. The music was good yet it was not to loud.The establishment has its own parking.I'll definitely come back to try the different dishes.“

“This unassuming restaurant in the entrance of a supermarket is a hidden gem. Found it looking for Bo Luc Lac in the LA area and found it via Instagram review than made me want to drive all the way from Long Beach and I was not disappointed, as they serve one of the better Luc Lac, tender and well balanced on sauce and pepper. Their medium is more well done than medium so adapt your request based on that.The rest of the dishes are also very well executed, fresh and flavorful. The service is efficient and friendly while attentive.Well worth a trip if you Are not close, you will not be disappointed.Parking: Parking is busy“

“I ended up here for a late night meal. Was not expecting much, never looked at pictures, just overall ratings. I rarely find a good hot chicken this far from the Cumberland River. I was so happily surprised. They use a dry rub, and not a "hot sauce". The meat was tender and delicious. I chose the hottest option and was not disappointed. I had to sign a waiver, which is a little silly, but I'd be happy to sign one again on my next visit. spicy, tender and delicious. “This is probably one of the best Korean fried chicken spots I’ve ever been to and the garlic sauce is the best!I ordered two large drumsticks with the sweet & sour/garlic sauce on the side. The chicken pieces were very tender and juicy with a profound crispness. Overall a really delicious fried chicken meal and the garlic sauce took it to the top.The sweet potato fries were descent but wish there was some type of creamy sweet sauce to dip with it. The corn cheese was also delicious, very cheesy and sweet which complimented the fried chicken flavor.The fried squid was also good and a little too chewy for me but the flavor was there. “Ordered 2 whole chickens with 4 sides and a large salad with ranch. Tortillas included. Asked for all the salsas, which is 3 different types. Each chicken was cut and put in a container. We got two large rice, 1 beans and 1 coleslaw. Overall, the chicken was tasty and juicy. Btw, you can see the chicken being roasted via wood logs and not gas burners, which added flavor. The rice, beans, and tortillas were on point. The salsas were good. I never got to the salad, but it was your standard iceberg lettuce. All that fed 5 adults and 4 kids with leftovers. I recommend giving this place a try. I will be back when I have a rotisserie chicken kick and need to feed the entire family for well under a Ben.“

“Amazing consistent food. I have been going for 2 years, and the spicy chicken breading and quality have not been diluted post pandemic. The only issue with this location is the seating area, and the front door needs to be fixed as it locks open and lets in the freeway smells. I recommend the spicy chicken with the mac and cheese. “As someone from Osaka, I can confirm this is a Japanese restaurant with home style dishes and legit kushikatsu (of which is a bit lighter due to less batter and more panko crusted instead). We went on Valentine's Day for a special meal and it was packed. Service may be a bit more relaxed than one may be used to, so please be patient and enjoy the thoughtful hospitality and cuisine. Their unagi yanagawa (simmered eel with strips of burdock root covered in egg) was very comforting and tasty. Thank you for the delightful and memorable meal.“

“It is quite surprising for me to say that I wasn't as satisfied with my order this time. I came here after work and picked up my order as usual. Instead of the medium spicy, I get the mild now just to go easy with the spice. After eating my first chicken thigh, I moved on to my second one, and the taste was funny. I don't know why, but it tasted like I was eating fake chicken or something. There was something off with the meat, and I ended up tossing it out. It will probably be my last time ordering the thighs. I'll consider ordering other types of chicken for the future. But the workers there are always good. One of the chicken thighs was just off today.“

I had their original chicken wings (with garlic seasoning), drumstick, fried chicken sandwich and the wrap; wow SUPER JUICY flavorful fried chicken! It's also nice that they open late. They do dine-in and take out. They also have some great items on their drink menu....I had their white peach fruit tea and it was not too sweet and really refreshing. Next time, i definitely want to try the whole entire chicken and the squid ink flavored one. Reasonable prices; they have free parking in the back.“

“Crispy and crunchy. Had the Spicy Crispy Chicken on Bun with onions rings. Sandwich was prepared when we ordered it, making it extra crunchy on the first bite. Extra spicy level was just right, not overbearing, just enough to give it a good kick. Onion rings were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly.“

“It has been over 10 years since my original review and with changes in palate, experiences, and my relationship with food over the last decade, I wanted to come back to share that my thoughts about this restaurant have never changed. Dong Nguyen remains home to comfort Chinese/Vietnamese style cuisine. I still get the hainan chicken + pork chop rice combo. Staff still greet me with excitement and warmth. Minor noticeable differences: - The pork chop is no longer bone-in. I've notice in my last several visits that they've started to serve it deboned and cut up. Some inconsistencies in flavor and texture, but nothing significant. - Because of the pandemic, they had to close down the restaurant for some time. This led to a restructure that affected staff and the way the business operated. Once reopened, service was take-out only for a long time. When the business finally introduced dine-in service back to the public, most of the staff did not return. This definitely changed the ambience of the dining experience as the once hustle and bustle of customers/staff and steady sounds of the door chime are now far and few between. While it makes me a bit sad, I'd like to think all the changes in the last few years have shifted customers to adapt to phone orders and takeout and that the business is still flourishing. Please continue to support small businesses like this one. I would be heartbroken if this establishment were to ever close its doors in my lifetime. One other thing that surprisingly has not changed -- CASH ONLY! I'd also like to note that Dong Nguyen and Savoy have very different takes on their hainan chicken dishes and I've grown to like and appreciate them both. So if you are coming here expecting to have what is served at Savoy, don't. Each establishment has its own unique flair. Please disregard my original review, this is my public apology.“

“Compared to various fast food places, their chicken tenders isn't as bready and dry. Flavor wise, there isn't any spices like how Popeyes would, but still 'tasty'. The texas style toast is like a brioche where it's as sweet as a Haiwaiian bun. There's supposed to be garlic butter on it, but the topping just taste like salted butter. You can try asking for it to be buttered on both side. Regarding both side being buttered, there is a "secret menu" like non-battered chicken tenders. Don't do it, it's not worth it. The meat will be dryer and chewer (also looks like frog legs). The fries are... decent. Crinkly fries in general have a bad reputation for being soggy and under-cooked - the ones here are crispy. I would give it a 5 star if the music inside wasn't blaring, and if it doesn't required playing "ninja" with the restroom's paper towel dispenser only for it to give a few inches. It would be nice if they can occasionally mop the area around pick-up. Night on the weekdays the music is quiet, and tolerable since there aren't any crowds. P.S. If you're 'green-concious', like me, this place will make you feel guilty. Even if you order dine-in, often it'll come in a plastic take-out box. When the person ahead get their order in a reuseable tray, RNG can still have your order put in a to-go box. Idk why. Btw You can maybe make friends there. On a Sat there's usually two different groups of people: one playing TCG and another playing Catan for possibly 8 hours (I once came back for a refill and they were still there).“

“I love this location, mainly because of the super cool staff. They have a real camaraderie, always laughing, joking, and being friendly with the regular customers. It's a great team, and Pollo Loco's food, in general, gets a bad rap. It's fresh, not processed, and pretty tasty. They have off days and some bad locations , for sure, but if you have to do fast food, this is a healthy way to do it.“

“Poached chicken (Hainan chicken 海南鸡) is at the best (9/10), most delicious I had in a while, as we always order it as an appetizer in Chinese restaurants.It’s hard to understand the greatness if you have not tried to perfect it as a home chef. Poached chicken is considered one of the most difficult. It needs to be tender, flavorful and juicy. The tenderness comes from the perfect timing in cooking which YouTube has lots of videos I am able to follow. However it’s hard to achieve the rich flavor of the poached chicken at home which requires (1) a rich soup where you repeatedly dipped and poached the chicken (2) sourcing the high quality free-ranged chicken while average home chefs like myself who buys the chicken from Asian market or a butcher in Chinatown. AND the most difficult and missing in most Chinese restaurants is the gelatinous juiciness. It’s a thin gelatinous texture layered between its meat and skin which is done by perfecting the cooling process. I believe most good Cantonese and Shanghainese chef knows how to achieve it but it’s too much of work to do it in most restaurants. I admit I have been little show-off my love and understanding of the poached chicken. But I am really amazed with what they have done here beyond my expectations.The set comes with the tasty chicken rice which is cooked with garlic/ shallots and chicken fat. It can also be order without the rice as one quarter ($12), half ($22) and as a whole ($32, which is little pricey, but definitely worth it as it is the best I had in US. Just a friendly reminder, their chicken is traditionally served with bones, following the customary Chinese presentation found in many Chinese restaurants.The second must have dish/ desert is their Coconut Custard/ pudding（椰子奶冻）in a whole coconut. It’s a first for us. We were surprised to discover it have tow layers, one clear and one milky. It is not so sweet with pleasant aroma of the coconut. As it is presented in a whole coconut makes it very unique and highly recommended. I ordered the takeaway of their ginger milk custard（姜汁撞奶）which is considered another signature sweet of theirs.The other dish we ordered with their French stir fry beef fillet（法式牛柳饭）with onion fried rice in red. It is very tasty. I have had them in some Vietnamese restaurants and couple fancy Chinese restaurants. The meat was tender and the taste were sweet and savory. We enjoyed it.Their house daily special soup is also very delicious to have. The one we had is pork soup with watercress and dry Chinese apricots（例汤：南北杏西洋菜瘦肉）which Cantonese Chinese believes it is good for internal balance of body wellness. The daily special soup（例汤）at most restaurants is cooked for hours. I hav seen they have coconut chicken soup on the menu and wish to order next trip there.We stepped in this pleasant surprise finding by chance. We were at the famous Taiwanese tea shop “Chi Cha San Chan” (8/10) next door. Since we were still full from an over ordered lunch in “Sushi GEN” (9/10 for its food only), we want something simple and comforting. However the menu is nothing simple as we have expected initially. Although it doesn’t have those expensive live sea food, it is a full extended menu with most of the traditional comforting food includes beef briskets noodles, pork wontons, beef stir fry rice noodles and most of the dishes you can find in an authentic Chinese restaurant. The boss lady is very nice speaks both mandarin and Cantonese. She reminds my of one the old TVB movie actress. I highly recommend this place as home chef and foodie.Vegetarian options: Large selection of vegetarian offerings. However, you needs to explain to the waitress while ordering without confusingKid-friendliness: The boss lady is friendly.“

“I rarely write reviews unless the establishment is great or terrible, and usually never for a chain fast food restaurant so let this be my first. I've been coming to this El Pollo Loco for several years now and I've been impressed at the consistency of the customer service and food quality. It's not usually a hallmark of any fast food type establishment to provide any type of customer service beyond the minimum since hey, the food is cheap and quick, what more can one expect? But this place stood out because everytime I've gone, whether it's busy or slow, there's always a manager working the counter with a smile, even going so far as to see how you're doing. It's not surprising that the service was good, but a pleasant surprise because it has been consistently good. Also, the chicken is decently tasty and again, consistent in quality every time I order. I've had everything from their chicken meals to their stuffed Quesadillas, paired with both their spicy avocado and pico de gallo salsas, they're all delicious. Now is it the BEST tasting chicken or the most juicy chicken out there? No, but for the cost and it being fast food, it's pretty damn good, not too salty, not too dry, just a decent amount of seasoning and juiciness to satisfy my appetite. Also, if you download the app, there are always some sort of special deals going on, not to mention the rewards points actually accumulate quickly enough to land you a free meal. Shout out to the manager and staff for making my usual fast food experience much better!“

“I just had to share my recent experience at this Chick-fil-A. On April 6, 2024, I accidentally left my bag, containing my wallet, at this particular location. When I realized, I called them immediately and thankfully, they had it. Since I couldn't retrieve it during the week and I live far away, they kindly agreed to hold onto it for me.On Monday, they not only confirmed they still had my bag but also offered to ship it to me! A generous employee even took the time to go to the post office. The restaurant was most likely going to cover the costs for my shipping by I insisted on covering the shipping costs since I needed my bag ASAP (I got overnight shipping). The employee took a picture of the receipt with the tracking information so I could keep track of the package.Today, April 9, I received my bag, wallet, and everything else intact! I'm immensely grateful for the exceptional service and kindness shown by the Chick-fil-A team. Their willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference. Huge thanks to them for their outstanding assistance inside and outside the restaurant!“
