“Excellent place for a meal. Fresh and delicious. They have a fish or shrimp special until the day before Easter, March 29th. Maybe for Lent? Crispy, tasty fish. It does not taste greasy or heavy. It comes with salad with black sesame and edamame and a lovely delicious dressing. Maybe ginger/ carrot. I asked for my plate with no rice, all salad. $7 special for a limited time.“

“I have been coming to this place for poki bowl, and this is my favorite in the area. It is located in the same plaza with Chase Bank and Daiso. Plenty of parking spots are available. I often order a 2 scoops bowl, and it was filling. I like vegetable base with a scoop of salmon and tuna, sweet citrus sauce, house sauce, eel sauce, edamames, cucumber, pineapple, masago, crab meat, seaweed salad, and ginger. Took 1 star away because the vegetable was not fresh (it turned yellowish) as times. Staff is friendly and service was fast.“

“Interior is small but parking is decent, and I think the food is hit or miss depending on what you order. But for the most part the fried chicken katsu is a good option; the bone in fried chicken that others seem to like was a little dry for me. There is a catering menu and seemingly they are a good option for gatherings. The owners work here and are very sweet Asian couple. They will always smile and engage in conversation with you. Top Restaurant has been in business for a long time so they are doing lots of things right!“

“I came through because I have walked through this little alley with friends and always see this tiny little cat-logo sushi shop. I came by on a whim expecting some fast foody simple rolls which would have been fine. But I was surprised when the salmon roll came out, and it was immediately obvious the fish was really nice quality and the roll looked as good as some of my favorite sushi restaurants. Very impressed!“

“Our server was top notch, very aware of our table....a joy to have as wait staff! Food was incredible, prep was top notch, portion sizes were varied. General atmosphere was tiki lounge lite, a fun, Cali casual/island theme very comfy. Bartender knew her way around mixology....no complaints!“

“I had the breakfast plate with fried chicken. The breakfast plate comes with 2 eggs and choice of sauce (either sweet sauce or teriyaki sauce). There's a lot of food with just this dish. The chicken is covered in batter and you can choose how you want your eggs cooked. The chicken was good and the entire dish was decent. When you park and you're entering the restaurant there's a sign that says 'macadamia pancakes' so I definitely added the short stack (2 pancakes) to my meal. I had a few bites of the pancakes so I can enjoy the fluffiness and taste of the dish. The pancakes were huge and topped with cream and macadamia crumbles. Really tasty. Of course, I wasn't going to finish this during my visit and I took it home. After eating the chicken the following day I decided it was very oily because of the batter and the way it was cooked. The pancakes were still okay. I'm a little saddened because I really thought I would be wow'd by this place, but I wasn't. It wasn't bad or anything I just higher hopes. I would still come back and try the other items on the menu.“

“I has the salmon truffle bowl and everything that came with it was fresh and delicious! They were even nice enough to give me a small sample of the truffle salmon to try before I ordered to make sure I liked it! Service was great and food was amazing...I will be going back to try the Ramen!“

“I work in Uptown Whittier and appreciate that this place is within walking distance! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl with pineapple and green onion and it was sooooo delicious ? The meat was flavorful and tender. Will definitely be ordering from here again!“

“A hidden gem within the Puente Hills Mall..The customer service was immaculate! If your on a time budget and trying to grab something quick and comforting..THIS IS IT!! We ordered the Katsu Chicken Plate..please note this is a huge plate!! It accompanied steam rice, Mac Salad and veggies. I also ordered the BBQ chicken bowl w/rice and veggies. Food was definitely a hit!! Although the ambience was a bit dark and wish they were seen more!!“

“Super solid poke spot - the fish is fresh and they give you a HUGE portion for the price. They charge extra for certain random toppings which I didn’t love, but overall the value for the price was very high. The staff was slow and seemed overwhelmed, but that’s my only complaint.“

“Been looking for a poki place in the area and this place came through! The fish was fresh and tasty. The young lady there was extremely helpful. It was my first time there and she walked me through it all. I took it to go, but the place wasn't busy during lunch hr. I will definitely be back again.“

“This is a hidden gem! The food is fresh to order. I've only tried the pupusas revueltas and tacos de carne asada. It's a small location but definitely worth a try. It's an interesting combination of different foods. The cooks are really sweet and the gentleman at the register is friendly. There are only about 6 tables with 4 chairs each, but if it's only you and your date it's perfect. The decor is a lot of Salvadoran art and some plates with Salvadoran currency. It's cute for a date to chat and have some good food.“

“I think that categorically this is "inauthentic" poke but good lord is it amazing anyways. Extremely filling, very tasty, and I love how everything besides protein is complimentary. A bit expensive for my taste, but I do come from a place with a lower cost of living. The masago is incredible.“

“One of the best poke spots to come to if you're in the area!! They have a variety of sauces that you could combine to make your own special sauce, i really recommend the sesame shoyu and miso honey for that sweet and savory taste!! Their service is fast and their employees are friendly and very accommodating, the atmosphere in here is calm and welcoming and is perfect for getting work done.“

“This place is very delicious. I received the Lemon Pepper Tilapia. Prices are very reasonable. Customer Service was great! The only thing I disliked was the Sriracha provided. They had the original roster Sriracha on display but we were given the cheap Vinagre knock off.I will definitely be returning and becoming a regular.“

It’s a small family-run counter serve operation with great Hawaiian inspired plate lunch comfort food, especially for meat lovers.The place is tucked in a corner of the Vons mall at the southwest corner of Myrtle and Foothill, so plenty of free parking. The chef and manager Ken took my order and was very friendly and helpful to recommend certain specialties on their menu.I ordered the Chicken Combo (BBQ Chicken and the crispy Katsu Chicken) and the Hawaiian BBQ Mix (BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and substituted Teriyaki Chicken in place of Kalbi Beef). Both plates come with two scoops of white rice and a scoop of Mac Salad. See images.Their BBQ Chicken is definitely a specialty, flavorful, and both combos I received were a generous serving of the moist and flavorful chicken.I would go back the next time I’m in the mood for Hawaiian plate lunch and would recommend 5 stars compared to other local counter serves in Monrovia.“

“Ono opened relatively recently in South Pasadena, conveniently off the 110 fwy. It is a chain that specializes in fast casual Hawaiian food like chicken katsu and spam musubi. It is nice having a Hawaiian restaurant near the Pasadena area, though I wish they had my favorite Hawaiian food loco moco. I'm still trying to figure out what the island white fish is (tilapia, rockfish, etc), so if anyone knows feel free to lmk!“

“I love this chain Hawaiian bbq spot and always stop by for their spam musubi’s. The musubi’s were delicious and I got them super easy easy rice.I’d definitely come back again and just be aware that parking is busy during peak times but worth the wait. Id definitely come back for their other menu items.“

“This is becoming a regular spot for me. Combos are a little pricey but the food is so good. Portions are big just wish they included more Mac salad. A combo and sushi roll cost about $28 but is shareable. This is what we usually do for 2 people. Great chicken and beef!“

I got a small poke bowl and it was filling but light enough to watch my calories since I was able to get half greens. Everything was fresh and the gentleman who helped me was very nice.
