“I have not been in this location. For quite a while. Last time was like 4years ago I think. The place was crowded then. Had to wait to be seated. Ordered the usual lunch special. Bbq pork and corn ramen and a side of fried tofu. The ramen as usual was delicious. The broth was not too salty, just right. However, the fried tofu was not tasty at all. Not as tasty as the one in colima rd branch.Overall it was still great. The waiter was really nice. Was there Dec 20 at 12:46 pm. So whoever was that tall waiter. He was nice. Definitely recommend everyone to tru the place.“

“this is so good, really enjoyed the soupless noodles after mixing everything in, the spicy original had the right kick and perfect balance between all the flavors and noodles, they also give you a mini scoop of rice to soak the remaining goodness, nice staff as well fyi this place gets busy and there’s usually a waiting list“

“I have lived 5 minutes away from this ramen shop since mid-2022. And it wasn't until an idyllic PTO-fueled Monday afternoon that I bothered to check this place out. In my 5 years living in SoCal, I've tried countless ramen shops and they all were great and stand out in one way or another. I've baptized ramen as “The only soup worth eating” and this shop further proves the veracity, authenticity and validity of that statement. The broth is rich, the pork chasu is cooked to perfection, the thin noodles have the right amount of chew and the gyoza is flavorful. Nothing that you could not find at any other competent ramen shop, such as Hiro Nori, but this is located at the heart of Old Pasadena, the locale gives it a boost from 4 stars to 5 stars. I do wish they also offered Tsukemen, though.“

“Probably the best place I've tried sushi. Large portions and excellent prices. As a fairly big guy, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't finish two regular plates. The service is top-notch. My best wishes to this establishment“

“Awesome place to get some great tasting ramen! The restaurant was nicely decorated, the staff extremely friendly and of course, the food tasted great. We had the veggie king ramen with an egg add on and spice level 3. Very good. I would definitely add a higher spice next time I go. They have a cool custom menu that you fill out while waiting in line to stream line the process. Big fan of the organization! Highly recommend.“

“I had lunch here today and I had a wonderful experience. The ramen and Gyoza were delicious. The service was great and the place was very clean. The owner came over just to say hello and offered me a complimentary green tea. The prices were also good.“

“Came here on a whim while running errands in the area. The portions here are HUGE. I ordered three specialty rolls - tempura Cali, hungry man, and the spider roll. The server said “It’s a lot of food, are you sure?” And I was like “Pffft. Challenge accepted. I haven’t eaten today.”DUDE. She was not kidding! As soon as I saw the first roll come out I knew I was in trouble. I think I still made a sizable dent (about half of each roll), but as you can see, the to go box is still packed full anyway.The service was fast and my server was very sweet. “We love this place :) The older gentleman who works there is always very friendly and helpful. It feels like a mom and pop restaurant, very cosy. I usually get udon and the popcorn roll and my partner gets the bento box. We've tried most of the dishes and enjoy them all. We keep coming back not only for the food but the warm welcome from the adorable older man who works there, he reminds us of our grandpa :)“

“When thinking of soup in the Pasadena area we have our favorite places. Last Friday evening we tried this fairly new Ramen place that has been open about two years. When walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. The place was not so busy for a Friday evening but later more customers did arrive which is a good sign. We were seated and the menu was simple and prices were in the range of other soup restaurants in the area. We got our water and tea quickly and the servers kept our water glasses full. Very attentive staff. My wife ordered the gyoza and the Tonkatsu ramen and I had the Shoyu Ramen. Food was delicious and if you don't like your food too salty, get the more creamier Tonkatsu Ramen. My Shoyu ramen had spinach which was surprisingly delicious.The food portions looked small but once we started eating they were very hearty portions. I was not able to finish my noodles.We will definitely be back as they also have Mazesoba here which is dry noodles with egg. Can't wait to try these dishes.“

“I've never really had Ramen before, but I am officially a fan after coming here. The service was on point the same lady was assisting all four tables with complete ease. She was refilling everyone's water asking if we needed anything. She was on top of all of it even answering the phone and just from hearing other people telling her that they enjoy the meals I know it's not just me saying it. I think it's safe to say everyone in there had a great meal tonight. The restaurant itself is not too big. There is about six or seven tables in there with several chairs to each table and comfy couches to sit on. It's not the biggest restaurant but it's perfect the way it is all of the Naruto decor was pretty cool to see too. I love how they had pictures up and drawings up. It just made it feel more homelike and I appreciate that vibe. I ordered the udon noodles in my Ramen because I prefer the thicker noodles and was not disappointed at all super yummy. Super tasty. Lots of flavor packed into the bowl. Nothing was overpowering as a perfect amount of flavor. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my time tonight.“

“Wanted to let everybody know Sushi in the Box's new location is in the Ranch 99 Market on Golden West in arcadia. They are now located in the food court in the far right hand corner all the way in the back. Their food is excellent and their service is very friendly always served with a smile.“

“Oh man it's been a while since I was excited for Japanese food. This place definitely hit the spot on a rainy day. The rubber ducky decor elevated the experience to an 11/10. “I do not eat ramen. This day I ate ramen. Didn't really try the noodles but I enjoyed the broth and pork. Rdawg got his spicy And me and the boy settled for mild which still had a hint of spice. They have huge yummy onigiri. Salmon, radish, stew pork, and tuna We will be back even though Rdawg says the broth is not rich in flavor as hiro nori.“

“Solid ramen spot in South Pasadena, great, attentive, chill service on a stormof a Sunday, served food nearly after I placed my order, reasonable prices for portions given, generous on your chashu pork & kimchi for kimchi ramen, appreciate they saved me from overeating & just took the small portion of food I wasn’t able to finish. Broth & noodles were warm with good texture on the noodles. Didn’t even ask for a tip, pleasant surprise beyond the meal before I took off. “Been to the one in sawtelle before but it was my first time at this location -- the food was great as always. Loved the spicy tonkotsu ramen I had. The sides were available as an add on at $2.50 each. There wasn't too much of a wait as groups come and go fairly quickly. The service was friendly and the Japanese music gave the place a nice vibe.“

“Delicious ramen spot with really good deals! Been seeing this spot on Yelp for a minute and finally was able to come here a few times now. Service and staff here are really nice and the food comes out pretty quick. I like this spot for ramen because they have good combo deal with a Tonkotsu ramen + side + 1 drink for around $17.50 to $18ish. Totally worth it! The restaurant is cool and the decor is awesome. “I was a little hesitant to come based on mixed reviews but glad I did. Had a delicious take out meal for under $30. The only thing I didn't like was the meat, the pork slice in my shoyu ramen was too thick and tough for me. Otherwise the broth and egg were wonderful, I tried the spicy tuna with crispy rice appetizer and it did not disappoint. Iced matcha tea complimented the food perfectly with no need for sweetener. The food was a bit American-ized, but had great flavor. Can't wait to try the pork bun next time.“

The scallops weren't jumbo size, but if the rice would have had a little more vinegar...it might have been as good tasting as I ever had ( the yuzu kosho was a big factor) ; bar none. “Very small parking lot but lots of street parking. I had a short wait during lunch time on a weekend. The staff are super nice and food comes out very fast Nanchatte tonkatsu ramen: milky creamy and flavor broth. It's very comforting especially on a cold day. Ramen noodles are cooked just right. Deep fried stuffed soft shell crab: a nice appetizer. The outside is very crispy and it appears to be stuffed with imitation crab meat. Omelet rice with pork cutlet and curry sauce: the portion is very large. It was very delicious. Curry sauce is nice and sweet. The pork cutlet is nice and crispy, the meat is juicy. I would definitely get this again and it would be two meals. Definitely stop by when you're craving some comfort Japanese food! The menu is very large and there is a lot to try.“

“My favorite ramen spot. Being able to customize your bowl is definitely the reason I come here. Thin noodles are far superior. If you are looking for something spicy to add to your bowl get the green chili butter bomb! So much flavor and spice If you want chili only for flavor (not spicy) get the red chili oil.
