“I’ve got to give credit where it’s due — Yunomi in Toluca Lake is killing it. From the moment you sit down at the bar, the energy’s just right. The staff moves quick, but you never feel rushed, and every roll hits fresh.
The Yunomi Special is a must — spicy albacore, shrimp tempura, a little crunch, and that truffle soy… unreal. Blue Crab, Soft Shell Crab, Negi Toro — they’re all solid. Even the crispy rice apps are worth the trip on their own.
It’s the kind of place you can pop in for a quick bite or make a night of it. Everything’s clean, organized, and dialed in — down to the bag hooks under the counter.
Fresh fish, great flavors, no wasted time. If you’re anywhere near Toluca Lake, this spot’s an easy yes.“

The flavor is impeccable...
My go to order consist of Spicy Truffle Edamame, Albacore Sashimi, Yellowtail Carpaccio, Lemon Roll, and the Yuzu roll. It doesn't matter if I am alone or with friends, I order the same regardless.
The staff are kind, warm, and welcoming! Their service is always incredible!

“My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while because we live in the neighborhood. We finally stopped in this evening and it did not disappoint! We frequent all of the sushi bars in the neighborhood and this one quickly rose to the top of our list. The fish was incredibly fresh across the board, regardless of what we ordered. My favorite roll was the lobster hand roll with soy paper, and the yellowtail sashimi special was also a highlight for us. The owner was very involved to make sure that everybody was enjoying their experience! We will certainly be back to try everything on the menu!“

“Delicious food at a reasonable price. I ordered one of the options with multiple handrolls and chefs were attentive enough that they never stacked up, but I somehow always had one in front of me. “I'm town for LA ComicCon and did my usual research to scope out what's around and amongst the many sushi places near LA Live downtown, the reviews drew me to a small, unassuming hole-in-the-wall place. It did not disappoint. I add my voice to those singing their praises. The place is small but the food is amazing. I was able to spend a few minutes chatting with the owners and they are wonderful people who you can immediately appreciate how much they are personally invested providing an amazing sushi meal and time permitting chat with you. Something we don't get enough these days. If you're into sushi and find yourself in downtown LA, this is a MUST visit location.“
