“We love this restaurant. We were in Tulare for 2 days while passing through and stopped here because of the good reviews. Plus it was just a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We were welcomed very friendly. The atmosphere is rustic but just like you would imagine a diner to be. The food was gigantic. Above all, the dessert with apple ice cream, fresh apple compote and cream was really the best thing we have ever eaten. Small disadvantage: The portion here was so big that the two of us couldn't finish it. Here's a tip: sometimes less is more :-)We were so satisfied that we ate here again on the second evening. Therefore a clear 5 stars!“

“This is our second time back in a month! We are from the LA area and this is our go to breakfast/lunch place. We had breakfast this time and it was delicious! Husband had chorizo and egg. Mmmm! I had the country breakfast. It was a lot of food! Everything was delicious! I got the sausage patty. It's huge! We are definitely coming back again and again! This place does not disappoint! Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive!“

“This is my favorite sushi spot in Tulare.. when you don't want to travel to Visalia this is the place to go. Rolls are always fresh and delicious. Their seaweed salad is a must for me when I go, their sesame dressing is delicious and you can buy it to go and make a salad at home! And if you don't like sushi but like fish, their fish fry is a must! Moist and tender and won't be enough you will want more. That's my sons go to every time.“

But don't worry, it's totally worth the wait. The place might be small, but the food is top-notch. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!“

“Super hole in the wall spot I found nearby my hotel, the lady at the register was super patient and extremely helpful with details about certain dishes, as well as her own personal recommendations. Their hot sauce may be a little spicy for some people, but other than that, there are no complaints about the food. It is top tier, everything was seasoned well, cooked to perfection, all the flavors worked super well together.“

“Tulare, CA, Black Bear Diner is on point! Excellent service, delicious breakfast, and hot, fresh coffee! The ladies who served us were amazing and accommodating. Restaurant was clean and always an amazing sight to look around the restaurant and see all the neat bear artifacts. The wood furniture and decor always make you feel like you are camping somewhere in the woods. I would recommend that if you order the biscuits and gravy, share with at least one other person because the biscuits are huge! I ordered the hot chocolate, and it was perfect! We would always recommend dining here, especially the one in Tulare, CA.“

“I've driven by Salles many times and thought "I should try that place. They always look busy." Well I finally did and can see why. It's a diner. Usual fare. Menu has the classic diner breakfast menu with an added Portuguese twist. But what isn't as common is how clean it is. Bright, clean and open is what you see when you walk in. And a huge throwback to classic diner ambiance, the service is fantastic. Very friendly, attentive staff that keeps checking in on you. Not common these days, and very much appreciated. Food was good. Didn't get anything out of the ordinary, but did get my potatoes Portuguese style, which is a garlicky onion and tomato sauce. Was not a huge fan of the breakfast gravy, had a little too much flour taste to me. But I see why they're busy, and I'll be back too.“

As far as the lobby goes, it's drafty and it needs remodeling.The kitchen you can actually see into this kitchen, but I imagine this is what most Chinese kitchens look like. The man is always cooking and his wife takes orders, but they do charge one dollar charge for using a credit card.“

“Came here because I was in Tulare and wanted Mexican. They have a drive thru which is super convenient. The food is good. In the order I got Chile verde nachos and Taquitos which have saucy item on top. I asked if they could separate and the staff did a phenomenal job. My food was crispy! Highly recommend. Great food and even better customer service.“

“I’ve been all over Cali !! This food is the BEST MEXICAN FOOD I EVER HAD. The food is fire and fresh. Handmade tortillas, rotisserie pastor and such much more goodness. They have a stand with multiple homemade salsa self served onions cilantro lemons everything you need they even have beans something I never see at taco trucks. Call me chunky I had tacos, quesadillas and bite of burrito I recommend this place to anyone. They are also located next to a liquor store the accepts EBT.“

“It'd been a while scence I needed to be careful of what I order in fear if I can infact eat all of it! There fries are HUGE and their burgers are 2nd to none if your anywhere near here make the drive and tast what the 80s problem tasted like and they were FAST!!!“
