If you want Hot Rod Diner, I'd highly recommend going 7 miles down the road to the Hot Rod Diner in Hilmar. My family and I went to this Turlock location for brunch, and everything overall was pretty subpar. All of the breakfasts were very filling, however the chicken tender lunch and the sampler platter was really dry. On top of that, after being asked if we'd like any sauce for our food, we were charged 25 cents for EACH of these tiny thimbles of sauce. I have no problem paying...read full review
Awesome food, great service. Super consistent and go to for great breakfast!! Even when it's busy, this place still rocks. Never a long wait, and their bloody Mary's are bueno!

We got a table quickly and it was busy, but we saw a few tables sit down after us and leave before we got our food. Once we got the food, it was perfectly okay. The hash browns were not good and everything was under seasoned. We won’t be back.
