As a local who is particular about where I go (especially for a special occasion), I have to say that I am so glad that Stella West Hollywood is here! Not sure why it’s so hard to find upscale restaurants in LA that are sophisticated and cater to a nicer crowd, without being outdated or cheesy... but the options are limited.We celebrated a dear friends birthday in the private room upstairs and had drinks at the bar downstairs first. Had a beautiful experience at Stella WH! The food was delicious, staff attentive and helpful. When asking our waiter for recommendations and to explain a certain dish, squash vines, which we had never heard of, he brought the executive chef to our table with a plate showing what the squash vines look like before cooked and he explained why he chose them and what he did to them and it ended up being one of our favorite dishes of the night. The restaurant design was beautiful. I would say it's like modern European and Beverly Hills chique. The service was exceptional and elegant. We decided to eat in the bar downstairs. Evelyn was superb. Her food and wine knowledge was impressive. She was the perfect ambassador of the idea and concept that is Stella's.
