“Great Food, Disappointing Service — A Missed Opportunity
Saltie Girl has a well-earned reputation for exceptional food, and in that regard, it delivered. Every dish that came out of the kitchen was flavorful and beautifully presented — the oysters, in particular, were a standout.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service.
After ordering a bottle of wine, it took over 20 minutes for our server to return, only to inform us that the manager would be retrieving the wine. Another 10 minutes passed before she reappeared — not with the wine we ordered, but with a different, more expensive bottle. Rather than apologizing for the mix-up or offering it at the original price as a courtesy, the switch was presented matter-of-factly. A gesture of goodwill here would have gone a long way.
To make matters worse, our oyster order was mishandled — not once, but twice — with incorrect counts and missing varieties. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, these details matter. Guests expect not only excellent food, but also attentive, polished service to match.
In the end, the meal was delicious, but the experience left a bitter aftertaste. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and invests in training their staff. As much as I enjoyed the food, I won’t be returning until the service rises to the level of the kitchen. Dining here should feel seamless — not like a constant series of corrections.”
“Delicious food and super friendly staff. I would highly recommend”
“Everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The linguini de mare was phenomenal and... arancini! I thought I'd never eat them again once I gave up dairy. I'm over the moon!”

“Went there for a little date on Halloween and didn’t disappoint. I had the mushrooms and my partner the duck, both were very delicious.
I think some more classy better quality cutlery and candle holders would help the place reflect the fancy vibe they want.
There’s lots of parking space around”

“Not sure why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. Found this place about a year ago and every time we are in LA we make a point to come during happy hour and get their mountain roll & crispy spicy tuna. Service is wonderful and attentive. Sushi never misses. Always so fresh. 10/10 recommend!”
Outdoor Dining
“I think this place is underrated. I stopped by here for dinner with friends and the atmosphere was chill enough, but loud enough to enjoy. The food (wings and burger) was really, really good, music was pumping and the place just felt comfy. This place gives off great vibes, so I definitely recommend checking it out.
This may be a GB Packer bar too”
“Beautiful decor, very spacious, and easy to find. Delicious food that just happens to be vegan, and the service is decent but a tad bit slow when busy. Brunch is fantastic, and the drinks hit HARD. I recommend the hummus, mushroom calamari, burrito, and the country breakfast.
Recommend parking at the library down the street.”
“The Manager is the best, wonderful to guest. The food delicious. The plates are big. The place clean and the vibe is peaceful and classy. Each spot with it's own music so you don't miss out. The apple delicious desert. Took me back to Virginia, known for the apple pie's. 🍎”
“My wife took me here to celebrate my birthday because I wanted to come here. I haven't been to this BOA location in like 10 years so it was long overdue. My wife made reservations and put we were celebrating a birthday. When we arrived to the place, we did the valet parking in front of the restaurant. It's credit card only with the valet so be aware of that. We then walked into the restrauant and checked in, they took us to our table right away. The inside of the restrauant is very nice, exclusive and feel like a luxury place. When we got seated our waiter Abbey came to greet us and told us about their special today. She took our drinks order which was just soda with free refills because I asked since at another place they didn't tell me it wasn't free refills. We already knew what we wanted so when she came back with our drinks, we put in our order. My wife got the Chilean Sea Bass because she was deciding between that or the Linguine with Clams but Abbey said the Sea Bass was a better choice. I went with the Filet center cut at medium with the peppercorn sauce since you get 1 free sauce. We also got regular fries and original Mac & cheese. Our entree came out first and then they brought out the sides after. My filet mignon was delicious, cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The peppercorn sauce was good as well but I like my filet more without it. My wife totally loved her Sea Bass, just wish it was a bigger portion because it was delicious. My fries was great as well because I'm more of a French fries person and my wife enjoyed her Mac & cheese. All of the employees here are amazing, they will keep an eye on your table and if there any mess or finished plates then they'll come take care of it. The owner stopped by and ask us about our experience to which we told him we were having an amazing time. We ended the night with a carrot cake that Abbey brought out to us and it was good as well since I never had a carrot cake. I would recommend coming here if you want to try a great steakhouse. We didn't have any issues with the valet and I checked my car hidden dashcam where it records the inside of the car to which the valet driver was respectful since I saw other reviews with bad experiences. They also charge a labor subcharge here so be aware but it's not too bad.
Vegetarian options: There are salad here
Parking: You can use their valet parking which is $18 before tip or you can try to find street parking.
Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible”
“We just had dinner at this place. My friends had tried it some weeks ago and took me there with high expectations. The food was amazing. The cocktails on point and our server Shane was exceptional. Will be back!”

“The staff are always friendly and the food is absolutely delicious.
Every time we visit L.A., this is a must-stop spot for our kids.
We’re big fans of sushi and have tried omakase in many countries, but this place keeps coming back to mind. While the setting and atmosphere might not be the most fancy, the taste alone is enough to bring us back.
In fact, sometimes the small and humble vibe feels even more comfortable, which is why it works so well for our family. I have a feeling we’ll keep coming back every time we’re in L.A!”
“We had an AMAZING experience with Trevor. So knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything on the menu. Truly an incredible dining experience. He customized our experience and served us with a huge smile. We sooo appreciate his impeccable service!! Thank you, Trevor!”
“So so good! Their basic house salad had a very clean, delicious taste with a lemon vinaigrette. We also got a cheese pizza and 10/10 would recommend. Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini. I'd never tried one before but had a sip and will absolutely get it next time, very smooth. The bartender was nice and attentive.”
“Everyone thinks LA food is great ,this is big mistake,it’s really hard to find tasty and nice place ,where you would love to be back again .But want to share this place ,it’s called Great white I will promise you will want to come back. “Craig’s is our go to place to dine and celebrate all important occasions. It is truly our home away from home close to where we reside. Craig and his team are like family. The food and service are excellent and always consistent. This is definitely an incredible place for people watching as well. Thank you Craig for always warmly welcoming us.”
“The Lobster Spaghetti was amazing, the Branzino was cooked to perfection, the kale salad and bread was yummy, drinks were good too!!!”

Takeout Restaurants
“Nice Indonesian ice cream spot. It is small tiny shop next to coffee shop and it serve vegan ice cream. The seating place is at the street level. It doesn't have many choices but it is interesting they shave Indonesua palm broen sugar as garnish. Eventhough it is vegan ice cream, the taste is like regular ice cream. Pricewise it is quite high.”
“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. Definitely recommend the chili cheese fries as well. The manager was friendly and welcoming! Thank you for your hospitality, quick eat, and delicious ice ice cream!”
“At long last, we were able to attend the Metztli crew's popup at Brain Dead Studios and WOW were we impressed. The potato taco was stellar, the beef cheek birria taco was bomb, and the shrimp tostada was fantastic. Such well balanced flavors, very purposeful, and visually stunning to boot. The operators were incredibly friendly and humble, I hope they have more frequent popups in the very near future. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!”
“This is an effortlessly chic sushi restaurant.
Healthy mix of couples, friends and solo eaters.
It’s easy to sink into the dark wooded, close quarters venue with soft jazz as background noise behind the bustling of the staff.
Infatuation will tell you to order the crispy rice with spicy tuna and sushi moriawise, which a lot of folks were getting.
If you have the $200/person (after tax and tip), it’s a special omakase. The ocean trout with kelp is non-pareil, sweet and umami flavors. Worth a visit.”
“First time dining at this beautiful restaurant. Food was very flavorful, service excellent. Our waiter Nicco, who would belong in Hollywood movies, was so attentive, polite and accommodating. The place was so packed, but he found time for every table he served. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.”
“The Service: Service is very efficient. Freshly made to order. Order at the counter & the staff even hand delivered the food to all customers' tables (either dine-in or take out), super nice! The Food: Hot & Spicy burger: I "upgraded" my burger, adding some avocado & bacon! OMG! Love the sauce & the jalapeño in my burger. Onion Ring: Great batter, super crispy! Strawberry Milkshake: Very creamy and not overly sweet! Just the way I like it~ Wings: The staff highly recommended me to try their wings. Sweet & Spicy flavor! Perfect combination~ I didn't know they have breakfast menu too? I got to come back & try out their breakfast soon~ They open at 8am. Perfect to grab freshly made breakfast before work! The Parking: Street metered parking. Side streets are residential area (parking free).”
“Delicious food Tempeh burger was really good. Pumpkin curry send me to food haven great atmosphere calm and quiet with tranquil perfect volume music. Great service.”

“We were visiting LA and I was dying to try TomTom so I took the whole family and also had my friend who lives in WEHO join us. Loved the location and everything about it. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was amazing! Food was great and loved the cocktails! Next time I’m in the area I will definitely go back! Also want you to try Schwartz and Sandy’s.”
“Since my last review of this restaurant about 2 or 2 1/2 years ago, this is the 1st time I went back.
I should also say that we used to go to Katana literary every week at the very least, 1 time and i experienced a very unprofessional behavior from the hostesses which I wrote about and to the management's credit, they wrote back to me and askex me to go back with my guests as their guest, which i didn't do but I appreciated it. Thank you, management, for reaching out to me.
So this time, my experience was very different than my last time there. The 2 hostesses, although they didn't know who I was since reservation wasn't under my name,
*Arica & Rushil were super professional and very nice as well as the young lady bartender "Maya" who was super nice and extremely charming. Anyway, thank you to the management for looking into it and being very professions.
Now, to tell you about the food, honesty, if you want it all, great ambiance, great service and servers as well as the boss boys, and especially the food and it's presentation is fanatic.
So again, thank you for a wonderful evening.
Vegetarian options: I think that they have plenty of dishes that a vegetarian person can enjoy
Dietary restrictions: Yes, absolutely. The waiter literary asks whether you have any dietary restrictions
Parking: So parking is a bit challenging but your best bet if you couldn't find street meter parking, they have valet
Kid-friendliness: Pretty kid friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible”
“Best Thai Food in LA!
Galanga is hands down the best Thai restaurant I’ve been to in LA since I moved here a year ago. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is incredible, and the prices are more than fair. One of the things I love the most is that we can bring a bottle of wine or Prosecco, and they provide glasses and everything we need without any extra charge. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine with great hospitality!”
“We loved this place; delish food, great location and lovely Parisian vibe!”
Fine Dining
“Hind is a culinary gem that offers an extraordinary dining experience. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and elegant decor set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu at Hind is a delightful exploration of diverse and vibrant dishes. The chefs here are true artisans, expertly balancing spices and ingredients to create a symphony of tastes that dance on your palate. The service at Hind is impeccable. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine. They are more than happy to guide you through the menu, offering insightful recommendations that enhance your dining experience. Hind is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination for those who appreciate the art of fine dining. Each visit is a journey through flavors that leaves you eager to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional and memorable dining experience.”
“Food was good and good portion. Our sever Nick was good. They push the bottled water ($12 a bottle) they got filtered tap if you like. Atmosphere and ambiance was great. The way they charge and sneaky way you get to $100 a person is crazy I know there’s a science and they got it down pat. It wasn’t absurd but this is a warning. You get what you pay for.
Just celebrity spots always charge 25%+ more to pay for the name Drakes is lives up to the charge and if you got it ain’t bad.”
“has a great vibe with a lively atmosphere and stunning decor. It's definitely a spot that feels special for an evening out. However, our experience started on a bit of a frustrating note—we had to wait over 15 minutes past our reservation time and were left standing by the bar, which wasn’t ideal.
Once seated, the food and drinks were impressive; everything we ordered tasted fantastic. That said, the service could have been better—we had to follow up a couple of times for missing items from our orders.
Overall, it’s a great place for the ambiance and quality of the food, but there’s room for improvement in managing reservations and ensuring smoother service”

“A Hidden Gem for Acai Lovers in WeHo!
If you're searching for the best acai spot in West Hollywood, look no further! This charming little haven not only serves up the most delicious acai bowls, but it also boasts a welcoming environment that makes every visit enjoyable.
From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed dining experience. The decor is bright and refreshing, which complements the freshness of their offerings.
The service is exceptional, thanks to Diego, the amazing manager, who goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer feels valued. He is always around to greet guests with a warm smile and is eager to share recommendations. Renan, another standout employee, consistently provides top-notch service, making sure that each customer leaves with a great experience. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail truly enhance the overall vibe of the place.
Now let's talk about the food! The acai bowls are simply out of this world—rich, creamy, and loaded with fresh toppings. Every bowl is a delightful explosion of flavors, making it hard to choose just one. Whether you prefer classic toppings or want to try something unique, they have a variety of options to satisfy your cravings.
Overall, if you're in WeHo and in the mood for a delicious and nutritious treat, this acai place is a must-visit. With its nice environment, great service, and amazing food, you'll find yourself coming back for more!”
“I've eaten here twice now. First time ran in and ordered a Falafel with Hummus and Tabuleh. It was so delcious - some of the best I have ever had. Came back for lunch with mu huband for lunch and he had a Schwarma salad. It was also delicious. The garlic sauce and home made bread served with salad was amazing. Will go back again and even go out of my way to enjoy this specail little spot.”
“It's so...good! I get my smoothies here several times a week and Sophia makes them perfectly! The ultimate blend of being smooth, tasty and delicious! This store has many health food items and they are my go to place when I'm shopping for protein powders and supplements.”
“Even though this Earth bar is one of the smaller locations, that's actually what I like about it the most. Because it is a smaller location, there are less staff there, which means there's room for relationship building.
Majority of the staff here are warm, responsive, engaging, go out of their way to make each encounter count. However, there is one of their staff that is very standoffish, none engaging, and somewhat cold.
That is the wrong temperament to have when handling someone's food and providing service for someone. I don't know why he is like that, nor do I care, but he's one of the newest staff.
Outside of that, this location still has excellent options to choose from, and it's in an atmosphere that will more than likely keep you coming back if you work out in that area
Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of plant-based options here.”
“Just LOVED my street noodles. They were spicy even though I ordered them mild. Fresh noodles are THE BEST!”
“A bit slow on the service but i believe it’s a corporate image choice so you “ slow down” and truly enjoy the truly fantastic food.
It is just a little hard to adjust to that mindset for me… but”

“Somehow I had never tried this place until about a month ago through Uber eats when I was craving an Apple fritter. Have ordered a few times since and think I’ve found my favorite donut/breakfast sandwich place in LA. Everything is always super fresh even if I order at 3 in the afternoon. The fritter is huge and might be the best I’ve ever had. Bagel breakfast sandwiches are perfect as are the other donuts I’ve had. So happy places like this still exist!!!”

“Formosa Cafe has really come back in a strong way. Food was excellent and we all especially enjoyed the whole Bronzino. Walnut shrimp is always great we loved the fried rice.
