“Saw a deal on the TooGoodToGo app for their food. Was in the area so I decided to try it. It's a store which has an area for take out plates and gyros in the back.Basically on the app, their plate was half off. It was a mix of rice, gyro and chicken meat with a pita bread, cucumber and tomato salad and yogurt sauce. It had good flavor and service was fast. I would return.“
“I had a bad first experience with trying out the food here, and this doesn’t go out to the workers there at all either, they were 2 fantastic gentlemen and respectful all the way, the food was phenomenal in taste, house made cilantro sauce amazing, white sauce was fantastic, however my chicken that I received was on the undercooked side and needless to say i found out after eating two since they’re not very big and I was able to just chuck each piece in my mouth, my stomach hurt remainder of day, the lamb was severely overcooked and it took so much effort just to try to eat one, almost like chewing rubber gum, and the Chapli well that was fantastic, seasonings and all, amazingI’m still eating this a 5 stars because the food was in fact very delicious, the undercooked chicken and overcooked lamb was displeasing, but hey I’m taking it as a one off chance I got and I highly highly still recommend people go give this place a try!!! March 10 4:30PM (kabob combo)And once again thank you to the two gentlemen working that day for being pleasant“
“I absolutely loved the customer service, the cashier Ceci who took my order absolutely made my day. She was very patient and sweet, I had ordered a platter and the western bacon cheese burger. I absolutely love the food 10/10 all around best spot ever!!“
“Bomb!!.com - April 4th it was a gloomy, windy day, i came to Sacramento to check out a trailer I wanted to buy, after i was done I was starving! I jumped on google and found this place & i ordered the Chicken & beef combo to go….While I waited the nice gentlemen hooked me up with a cup of chicken soup that was delicious!! It Will knock your socks offThe combo plate was on point. juicy and fresh definitely recommend this joint“
“We literally just finished our meal, staying at the Citizen hotel next door. We ordered a chicken wrap, chicken philly and gyro philly and one word for all three - epic. Absolutely great flavors. Highly recommend King's Halal Mediterranean Food.“
“The food was really good I highly recommend and for the dessert omg I tried konafa! The only thing that happened they forgot my humas and pita bread as soon I arrived back they got on free baklava it was also really good ? well be back again thank “
“Sorry, no photo (s), it was that good! I got the lamb and rice plate and I was in heaven!!! I didn't realize I was that hungry lol I truly recommend Mykonos Gyros to anyone who wants incredible food with a taste of Greece ? OH boy will I be back as I work in the Arden area. This food truck was an amazing idea put into action in sharing a wonderful experience with your taste buds, heart, soul. Please stop by and support this great lady!!! She deserves love and happiness from food lovers. ❤️“
“Best chicken zinger burger and wrap in Sacramento. The taste and quantity is wholesome! love zingers and couldn’t find any decent restaurant in the US. That’s all I’ve tried and I can testify it’s not at all disappointing.Small review - Chicken is a little over cooked could be juicier. You can further improve it by adding more flavor of sauce like tandoori mayo!May Allah bless your work??“
“I was crunched for time and they were able to get me my food faster than a drive thru at a fast food restaurant. Friendly and accommodating service. I have passed this place several times and have wanted to try, and they did not disappoint. The food is GREAT! I got the spicy chicken gyro with a Greek salad, oh so tasty. If you have not tried them, make sure you do. If I lived closer I'd be in trouble.“
“Finally got to try this place out after driving by so many times and seeing so many people out there waiting. I got the falafel platter and a side of fries. So flavorful and so good! You also get a lot of food and best part? It tastes even better the next day.“
“Kabob House is a delightful surprise! I stumbled upon this gem while searching for another restaurant, and I couldn't be happier. The food here is outstanding – the kabobs are flavorful and cooked to perfection. What started as a chance encounter has turned me into a huge fan. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere make every visit a pleasure. If you're in the area, don't miss the opportunity to experience the culinary delights at Kabob House!“
“Amazing foood!!! I tried their Arabian shawarma meal, it was awesomely delicious! The owner is a friendly guy. I would highly recommend them. The only thing I didn’t like was that their bathroom seemed to be closed and they didn’t have forks on counter. Other than that, it’s a great place to check out. I’ll be coming to try their other menu items out.?“
“I wanted to try authentic, traditional Palestinian food to show my solidarity with their people's struggle for freedom. I was visiting my sister in Sacramento, and she recommended Basha Taste of Jerusalem. They start you off with complimentary fresh baked flat bread and olive oil which tasted divine! We ordered the "Mansaf" lamb and chicken dish, and the "Maqluba" upside-down chicken and rice dish. It was absolutely phenomenal! The portions are very generous and we had lots of left overs to-go that tasted just as great the next day. I loved the interior décor and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town to try more dishes that are not common at generic "Middle Eastern / Mediterranean" restaurants.“
“I wish I would have taken pictures of my food but I doubt they would have done this review any justice. I ordered the chicken gyro, chicken Philly and a lamb/steak Philly via phone call and the person (male) taking the order was pleasant and articulate enough to understand him. He repeated the order back to me twice and asked if I wanted to make my food spicy and then made sure he had it down right and gave me an estimated wait time of 15. I got there 20 minutes later and my food was ready and I was immediately welcomed with a smile and a courteous “hi, are you here for pickup? “. I’m so surprised the place was empty and I was a bit scared that maybe it wasn’t a good sign but when I went in the car and opened my food I was pleased at how big my portions were meaning there was plenty of meat and chicken on my gyro so I know I wasn’t being ripped off like in other places where they give you 5 pieces of lamb or steak for the amount you pay . The food is extremely affordable compared to other afghan/ gyro places and the meat given is soooo much more compared to others too. My husband and I took a big bite and we couldn’t stop eating even after being full. The food was so good; the chicken was so juicy and full of flavor and it tasted fresh. I also need to clarify that the “juicy” part of the meals had nothing to do with grease or too much left over oil this place really knows how to make their food so delicious without feeling like you bit into straight up oil. I did not have any stomach issues after eating and it definitely wasn’t salty so I’d recommend this place to people with sodium restrictions. The two gentlemen went above and beyond from the first call all the way til my food was given to me with a smile. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving a “middle eastern” food item and for welcoming service. I do have ONE complaint and that is their parking availability, the entrance is tight and there is limited parking so I can see how this would be difficult to visit during rush hour times. Do try this place out!Dietary restrictions: Low sodium, customizable options“
“amazing food with amazing workers!! the store was quiet at around 11am on thursday. many people came in around 12 for lunch but there were plenty of seats. i got a chicken shawarma and a beef and lamb gyro to start. the shawarma was crispy and amazing. it has pickles, a lovely garlic sauce, and super tender chicken. delicious! the beef and lamb were amazing, i love the flavor. the iced white mocha was good. they use peet's coffee for their beans. overall this place is great and i would come again.“

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem, and I was blown away by the freshness and flavor of the food.Mediterranean Nachos and FriesI tried the Mediterranean nachos and fries, which are a customer favorite. The nachos were piled high with fresh toppings, including grilled chicken, vegetables, and feta cheese. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I could tell that everything was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.Convenient LocationCrest Cafe is also conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to get to and from.RecommendationI highly recommend Crest Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable Mediterranean meal in a convenient location.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian optionsParking: Street in front of building does not offer street parkingKid-friendliness: No kid menu OptionsWheelchair accessibility: Is wheelchair accessible“
“Finding high quality falafel in the Bay Area can be difficult at times. This restaurant did not disappoint at all. My family ordered from their variety of salads and platters. The chicken was moist and delicious. The falafel crisp and fresh. I will gladly return to this establishment whenever I am in the mood for Mediterranean food.“
“Most amazing Gyro i've ever had... Tender tasty meat lots of produce amazing garlic yogurt sauce with a fresh pita. Much much bigger than any yro i've had and much better, too. I got the combo with the salad and drink. It came out to $16 which is about the same price as a big Mac meal. But much healthier and tastier. The salad was phenomenal, and there were lots of fresh produce cucumbers. Tomatoes, onion's lettuce with great sauce and big portions.“
“Wow!! Debbie, and Alondra were wonderful.I love coming in to see them smiling. So friendly and sincere every time I come in.And not once have I been disappointed by the food. Everything's always fresh and so good!!Definitely worth checking out. Thankyou for the great service!!“
“Found this little gem today. Was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of food. Ordered a "plate" with gyro as the main dish. The plate included gyro, rice (choice of 3 kinds - they suggested some of each - turned out to be a great choice), salad, beans, there was a dressing on top. It was simply delicious!! Hot, quick and the service was wonderful. Did I say the service was great! They have a nice selection of baklava or other desserts. Simple surroundings. Highly recommend ..“
“Little place that mostly does delivery and hall rental plus catering. The staff mostly are Muslim, but I think they might be Afghan, because they knew little English, and didn't respond well to Arabic, French, Persian, or Greek. Dine-in was very limited, but the food was great. It mostly Greek, Arabic, and Mediterranean in substance. Probably hallal, but I didn't see that explicitly stated anywhere.Great food, not up to serving diners on site. We had to ask to get water, and they gave us bottled water. We ordered tea and had to ask for it several times. Still nice people, just very limited English. Moderately recommend. Order ahead, and get the food to go. Don't eat on site.“
“We each had a lamb/beef gyro that was delish: They cut the meat super thin. I’m used to a Greek salad being on a bed of lettuce, so was a little confused when the Greek salad we ordered was just the toppings, but it was still very good. To finish, we tried one of each dessert: the classic baklava was perfection with lots of cinnamon. The kataifi and chocolate baklava were a bit dry. Overall, would definitely return to Petra, but more likely than not would get it to go.“
“Great food! I can’t stress that enough the food here delicious. Every time I'm in Sacramento, I make sure to stop by this place at least once. Be aware that not all locations taste the same, so it pays to be cautious. However, every time I've visited this particular spot, it's been a solid 10/10.“
“There is a lack of Greek places in sac so I'm excited about this new place. I got the gyro platter. It was seemingly fresh but needed some more flavor. The rice was not good, the salad was meh and the tzatziki didn't taste like anything. I would definitely come back though and maybe try a pita wrap or something.“
“I’m staying at a hotel nearby and decided to try this place. I got a falafel wrap and it was so DELICIOUS! The first bite I took had so many flavors. It is a good value for how much food you get. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but I would definitely recommend trying this place. I’ll be back here at least one more time before I leave.“
“1-12-23, In for lunch again, ordered the usual falafel wrap, and Gyro wrap both were great. The place looks cleaner, the bath was cleaner and some new paint.Next time in I will try the burgers, they look awesome#justhavingfun**8-17-2022 Adding on to my previous review. Third time into Falafel CornerThis time we both ordered the Gyro wrap, one with the meal deal. Both were very good as was the service. BUT you all need to clean the restrooms, the tables ,walls ,floor Etc...... really really good all the time. I all most took photos. When I come back I hope it's clean.CLEAN IS A GOOD THING. I HOPE YOU AGREE.**Second time in, we shared the falafel wrap and a Gyros wrap. Both were great.“
“Everyone needs to eat here. The food is delicious, affordable, and so fresh! The people who run it are very kind and the the pita bread is fresh baked and still hot from the oven. This is a hidden Sacramento gem! My new go-to when I'm in this neighborhood.“
“The food was nicely prepared and nicely presented. The service could not have been better. The decor was modern, comfortable and pleasing. My only quibble and hence the less than stellar ambiance score is with the music played during the entire meal. The thump, thump, thumping of the bass was unpleasant and could not be ignored. Not my idea of dinner music.“
“I think I've eaten at every Persian place in Sacramento by now, as well as a few of the Iraqi and Afghani places, and for sure there is a lot of great kabob and rice to be had at many of these places. I would rate Famous Kabob recently as one of the best. The Koubideh (ground beef) Kabob they serve is nicely cooked, tender, juicy, and the rice is always very good. I think I've been to this restaurant 6 or 7 times by now, and I'd say the quality has improved in the past couple of years. It's definitely a go-to when I need to place group orders for pickup.“
“So happy they opened up a restaurant in the area. I'd heard a lot of good things about their food, and I'm glad I finally got to try it out. Have tried the chicken, lamb, fish, and chapli kabab platters since they opened, and it all has been absolutely delicious. Their fries are amazing as well. The red sauce isn't just hot for the sake of being hot. It's got a little bit of dpice, and a lot of flavor. It compliments the food, and the white sauce.“
