“My mother in law ordered us lunch from here and it was delicious! I've never eaten here before but I'm so glad we found this spot. I ordered the veggie plate and my mother in law had the three skewer combo. I was so hungry and my meal really hit the spot! The rice was amazing! Our order was delivered quickly. I will definitely eat here again!“
“Sofreh offers an authentic taste of Persian cuisine with delightful flavors and aromatic spices. Each dish is meticulously prepared, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Iran. From succulent kebabs to fragrant rice dishes, Sofreh delivers a memorable dining experience.Parking: There’s no parking, so you have to drive around and find street parking elsewhere.“
“City of Paramount and local restaurants partnered up and gave away $50 gift cards. Lucky for me I scored on one, took advantage and chose Fatima's to finally try it out. The Downey location is always packed so I was happy to see a new location closer to me and hope I'd like it. My chile relleno burrito did not disappoint! I recently tried one at a different restaurant and felt the relleno was pointless and was not impressed. Fatima's burrito changed my perspective on that and the chile relleno with all the cheese was life! 4/5 only thing I wish they had was a good spicy/hot salsa to pair with it. I snagged the roasted hot jalapeno off my friends Chicken Kabob plate. Chicken 4/5 was good, juicy & flavor able but the rice 2/5 I was not a fan of. Tried the Birria Taco 3/5 they are generous with the meat because it came in 2 tortillas I was able to make 2 tacos out of the 1 and share it. The fish taco here was not to our liking. I do look forward to returning and trying other menu items. Also had good service.“
“Their grilled vegetables are snapping! Love their green sauce (not the Mexican one and I think it’s called chimichurri or something like that), it goes really well with the grilled chicken and vegetables we ordered. Love the hummus and yogurt, salad and the dressing. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. The owner/chief who was with us patiently help us out with the choices for the bowl and very passionate about delivering friendly service. Definitely will visit again! Very healthy options too!Vegetarian options: Grilled vegetables, salad, hummus, corn, tomatoes and cucumber toppings, vegetarian sauce and salad dressing“
“We tried habibi grill first time . We order shawarma wrap and taaooq plater ,hummus and kunafa. Everything was so delicious and tasty like not over cooked neither less cooked everything on point ! Wanna eat those again and again . 100 % recommend if you like Mediterranean.Must go place and chef was so Nice man and knew how to cook! ?“
“If you're reading reviews trying to see if this place is good just do yourself a favor and place an order. The quality of food is amazing, everything always tastes fresh and the service is excellent. I cannot recommend Pita Paradise enough.“
“My family and I love stopping by at this location for a meal whenever we in town visit my parents. I never get disappointed. Last night, 12/23/23, our meals were not prepared correctly. What impressed me is that they rectify it immediately without any negative attitudes. Compliments to the manager and staff at this location for continuously making my family’s and mine dining experience so enjoyable. Thank you.“
“This is my favorite place to treat myself during the week. I go here with my partner every chance I get. The food is absolutely amazing. The options are endless and I try to get something new every time I go. The entire staff is outstanding. The owners are very welcoming and passionate. Liza is very sweet, kind, and a character. Stephanie is very kind as well. 10/10 would recommend this spot. All 100% halal!“
“As entreprenuers we travel the world and the unknown and get to have great experiences with people. Today we visited World Famous Grill in Downey and Hassan was the perfect gentleman. He helped us with a Kabob Combo Plate with hummus, rice salad and pita bread along with their famous Western Burger which was monstrous and delicious. Our daughter was also able to order chicken nuggets and fries as well. We appreciate these small businesses opposed to all the BIG corporations who usually say no to us asking for food. Thank you again World Famous Grill.“
“Everything was great. Atmosphere was amazing. Drinks took awhile and my friend whose birthday it was never got her second drink. And when it was time to pay I wanted to leave a little early so I had the waiter split my bill plus the birthday girl's drink and he ended up charging me the remainder on my card which was $130 instead of the $68 eventually we put everything on my card and had two transactions on my card instead of voiding it and having that amount pinned on my bank account. For what it's worth if this happens to you especially if you go in a large party remember that it is best to just zelle each other then void the transaction and have multiple pending transactions on your bank account. I was a little disappointed that all the waiter wanted to offer was to void the whole thing because as a server myself I know that this causes multiple pending transactions. So from both the customers point of view and the servers to make your life easier and theirs remember that nobody's perfect and mistakes can be made and if you can take the initiative to lead your group so that the money isn't lost in cyberspace so that not only the bill gets paid but everybody feels like they put a fair amount in then your experience will be a good one even if it seems like it's going south. So in conclusion I ended up staying a little bit longer than I wanted to but I felt like this was an experience that had to be shared and I hope this is helpful for people in the future.“
“We went here for a friend's B/D lunch. It's a good thing we were there early, it got very busy as the middle of the day moved along. I had a traditional Gyro with Lamb (it's not on the menu, just ask for it) and my husband had a grilled chicken sandwich. They were both delicious. The olive dip was fantastic also. We will have to go back to taste more.“
“We love Adana Grill! The generous portions of exquisitely seasoned tender meats and fresh savory sides offer texture and flavors that compliment perfectly. Whether creamy or crunchy , roasted or pickled there is something for everyone here. We often start with the crispy Cheese rolls or Kibbeh. The house special Adana Kebab is excellent, and chicken and beef kebabs are some of our favorites. Don’t forget to finish your meal with Turkish tea and sweet treats of baklava and Turkish delight. Beautiful photography and lively music complete the casual atmosphere. Every meal we have here, or take home , we end saying, “That was so delicious and satisfying. I am so happy”!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly Great for family, date, friends group or just solo mealWheelchair accessibility: Easy roll up to tables for 1-“
“Was looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled across this restaurant tucked away in an industrial area. It was a great find. I ordered a gyro sandwich #17 that was fantastic. The potato side was ok. Good taste but a little too wet feeling for me. The other dish was #19 the works, very good and more food than could be eaten at one sitting. The food and service was great. We came a bit before lunch but I could it would be very busy during a lunch rush .“
“Late lunch so we did a quick grab and go from Mazaya. We paid for it - relax. The grape leaves are absolutely my favorite. Hummus is a solid choice. The French fries are like those late night post party open late burger stop. They have a crunch, soft tasty center and season with good ol’ salt. The chicken this time was a little dry but that’s ok. Wont stop us from going back. Services are quick and the place is clean and comfortable.“
“This place is fantastic! It was my first time and I loved it! So much food choices, I couldn't try them all. I will definitely return. The only thing I was not so impressed with was the dessert bar but everything else was that I tried was delicious.“
“When you want to eat something filling, fresh and tasty, this is your place! The gyros are so tasty, I've had both the lamb and chicken. Both are meaty and fresh tasting. You can taste all the ingredients. The fries are so good, and they stay crispy. Highly recommend a side of the potatoes. They are so good! Everything I've had has been great. The plates are great to share too. If you are really hungry I recommend the Zeus Fries. They are enough for multiple people. Give this place a try and you'll be hooked!Parking: Plenty of parking in the back“
“I love coming in for lunchService is amazing always greeted by staffPaula is always checking in on us when we visitFood and quality there’s nothing like it in downtownDietary restrictions: Staff is knowledgeable in regards to recommendations w restrictionsKid-friendliness: Kids menu availableChicken skewer w fries“
“We are so Grateful For George Greek Cafe! Mike the manager was so gracious and helped us with a HUGE MEAL! We had 4 gyro sandwiches a Greek Salas rice and they gave us 4 water bottles! And all the food......YUMMY! Make sure you support this great restaurant.“
“This place is truly great. I highly recommend the Chicken Kabob plate. The chicken is juicy, the hummus is perfect and the rest that comes with it is just perfect. The owner is also really kind. He's super grateful which makes want to support him as much as I can.“
“Do we visited the lounge side of this restaurant (chapter 4). I love the outdoor tables. I guess you can smoke your cigars and drink your well drinks to a quaint outdoor setting. I got the Latin Lover and my boyfriend got some whiskey drink. Noth were extremely strong so we nursed it the entire time. The Japanese snacks were free and yummy but we ordered the steak and fries...no Bueno! It was super duper dry and overcooked. Don't go here for food...just drinks and nice outdoor ambiance.“
“Spanish/EnglishMy first time in this place. I ordered a Chicken bowl and I didn't leave with a good taste in my mouth since they put too much white dressing on it that basically invades all the flavor of the chicken, vegetables and rice. I also realized when I finished eating that there was too much oil sitting at the bottom of the plate. The place is very clean, the servers are very friendly and the service is fast, but maybe next time I should ask for the dressing to be served on the side.My first time in this place. “This place is really good. Service was great. I got the chicken bowl this time. Rice has good flavor, the chicken was cooked perfectly soft, tender and full of flavor veggies are fresh and not over cooked. Their pomegranate sauce and garlic sauce go perfectly well with the bowl.“
“What a gem hidden inside of a corner liquor store!Popped into here for lunch with my dad (a syrian man, born and immigrated, so he knows his arabic food).I had the chicken shish tawook plate, he had the falafel "tacos"Both items were excellent. The value was high, the service was friendly... and if I didn't mention it the food was great.Ambiance was kind of funny being in a liquor store to order, but i've had great food in all kinds of gas stations.. so why not?“
“Best mediterranean chicken kabob salad I've had. The dressing is delicious very tangy and tasty. The chicken is always perfect flavorful, tender and they are pretty generous with it. I had there beef kabob sandwich also super delicious. I really recommend this place.“
“My go-to for Mediterranean food, don't know a better place than this near hereUpdate: After a year, this place has gotten even better! Make sure to order online because their food is made to order, so you might wait a while otherwiseVegetarian options: Good vegetarian options, delicious falafel“
“Usually when restaurants serve several types of cuisines, the food is usually mediocre. Z's is the exception. I have been coming here for years, before they moved to this newer location, and their food is always good. My favorite is the beef kabob plate, much better than any Mediteranean restaurants in the area, hands down. I used to go to others, but they either changed the type of meat or ingredients to lower quality. Z's quality is always been the bestt, juicy and flavorful. Please never change . Also, their staff is consistently friendly; always smiling and doing extra.“
“Omg I love this place I been here probably about 10 times. Place is always clean and quiet there customer service is fantastic the cooks even better ! I eat the shrimp plate with rice and Caesar salad there garlic sauce is a key to the meal I love it everything is always made so perfect ! The taste and the presentation of the food is amazing I literally love Greek food and this place doesn't disappoint ever . I could go on and on how much I love this place ! It's a must“
“Nancy at the counter is always fast and efficient. She really knows her menu! They have a variety of plates, salads, wraps, and sides. A few of my fan favorites include the works, which comes with a little bit of everything, kafta, beef, chicken, two falafel balls and two step grape leaves. Chicken wrap is made with pita bread, garlic paste, lettuce, tomatoes, and homemade salad dressing. The sides forBesides for your wraps are pickled turnips and your choice of spicy potatoes or salad. My favorite salad would be the grilled veggie salad with protein optional it has onions, bell peppers, zucchinis, yellow squash, and corn, all grilled and topped with their homemade balsamic dressing and feta cheese. Their stuffed grape leaves and falafel are always a hit as well. I have yet to try their baklava, but that is next on my list they’re located in a food plaza, so there are a bunch of other eating establishments as well and their dining areas and restrooms are always spotless. Most of the establishments have the restroom code and Wi-Fi password posted or if they don’t, you can always ask! The TVs mainly play the news and they have connections if you need to charge your phone or laptop overall, this is one of my favorite places to eat. If you decide to go check this place out at the counter know Roxy sent you!Vegetarian options: Falafel balls, hummus, grapes leaves, eggplant wrap, fattouche, tabouli, baba ghanoush, grilled vegetable salad, house salad, Cesar salad, Greek salad.“
“Tabouli salad varies greatly from vendor to vendor. This one at the Kabob Shop seems perfection to me! Just the right ratio of parsley, onion, grain, and lemon. Mmmm! And the chickpea salad is right next to it in perfection. Both perfect paring with the saffron chicken kabob“
“We are loving Lakewood! Every since we arrives from Florida we have been welcomed here! After a long trip we decided to stop in Luna Grill and RG the manager was so nice and fed us with two gyro plates with rice pita bread and salad. So yummy!“
“The food was great! The pizza had a little too much grease for my taste, but the flavor and taste were delicious. The price is about what you would expect from similar places. Nice and clean inside. The staff were attentive and courteous. Able to watch the football game and still have a good conversation at the table. Would recommend it!“
“Fresh, clean, pleasant atmosphere, delicious. If you're looking for a meal that is clean and not full of grease this spot has you covered. It's refreshing and tasty. The cheesecake is delicious. would recommend to anyone and everyone. Staff is on point direct customer service and very descriptive in the items offered. I had the beef with all the offerings of toppings over rice and also opted for some humus will be back to try the other items in the future. The signature sauce is also a great addition to the meal. Putting everything into one conveniently packed bowl. To summarize check it out.“
“In my time in the Greater LA area, I've stuck with trying mostly Asian eateries as those are typically the spots I feel the most comfortable with. But with the diverse food offerings in the Rowland Heights area in particular, I felt inclined to try something new. With that said, a friend recommended me to try Halal Guys after having previous experiences enjoying halal meats. For this experience, I ordered Halal Guys off of Uber Eats on a Monday night to avoid the traffic on the 60 and chose to try their Beef and Chicken Combo Platter which was around 14 dollars before tax. And from that point, I waited for about 30-40 minutes for my food to arrive at my place. Upon arrival, the food was bagged in layers which kept the food warm which was a nice touch.Opening the bag, each item was given in a foil pan with a plastic lid which helped keep the food inside warm without making the food soggy. And with that, it made receiving the food that much more impressionable. Opening the lid, I was quite surprised by the amount of portion given inside. About 70% of the bowl was filled with large quantities of beef and chicken. Because of this, the dish was meat dominated and ended up being quite filling. The tomatoes, lettuce, and four pieces of pita bread took up the remaining area and prevented the dish from tasting too meaty. For last, the rice that layered the bottom was given in good portion too: not too starchy, and not too scarce. In all, the large quantity given was well worth the expenditure at 14 dollars in the Rowland Heights area. There was so much given, in fact, that the single combo lasted two meals! Price to portion ratio? Very good! The taste of the food was also very impressive! Starting off, the turmeric and cumin-seasoned rice was quite light in texture and was seasoned generously. This allowed the flavor profile of the rice to give the rest of the items in the dish a baseline to work off of. For next, the lettuce and tomatoes tasted fresh, just like you would imagine them to taste: watery, crunchy, and a tad sweet. As for the pita, the texture was soft yet dry, which helped to absorb the moisture from the added white sauce and hot sauce. Furthermore, the bread interior had a hint of what I identified as olive oil which helped the bread taste a bit doughy and subtly salty. As for the meats, the chicken was my favorite of the two as the pieces inside were lightly seasoned with black pepper which tasted heavenly with the flavor of the rice. The chicken's texture was very soft despite the fact it was fully cooked, making each piece melt in the mouth. Although the beef was good as well, it was more on the dry side and tasted much heavier. This could be in part because the meat was sliced thinner, causing the meat to dry out faster and for seasoning to dominate over the amount of area well on each piece. The dish was fine by itself. But including the packaged white sauce, I found the overall taste even more memorable. Tasting like a lighter ranch, each component of the dish was able to attain a greater cohesive texture and creamy taste. Achieving a balance like this is very difficult when you add sauce to a dish, leaving me to crave more of their famous large packets of white. On the other hand, I found the hot sauce to be too spicy to the point that it dominated over any texture or flavor of the food. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say the spice level was close to a 6. Definitely eat some pita to counter the spice should your spice tolerance be low.For this experience with Halal Guys, I would argue Halal Guys deserves a 5 star rating hands down. The portion size was very large for the price compared to most other eateries of this kind and restaurants in this area in general. For the price, the quality was definitely there, having better meat quality than many places that charge almost double the price. Although I found the beef was over-seasoned and on the dry side, it's not to say it was bad by any means. For the next time I return though, I would opt for Chicken Platter instead. In all though, great portion of“
“Ordering food online at Panini Kabob Grill is super easy! They have yummy dishes like Spicy Prawn Linguine and Combo Kabob, just the right size for one person. And if you pick up your order, you save $20 compared to getting it delivered by Doordash. So, let’s go enjoy some tasty Mediterranean food at Panini Kabob Grill.“
“After my boyfriend took me here the first time, I am now officially obsessed with this place and I want him to take me back every time I get the craving for Mediterranean food ? I've only gotten the chicken kabob wraps (twice) but they're sooooo good. The pita bread is warm and soft, the chicken is tender and flavorful, and the potato chips they come with are spiced in the best way and sometimes crispy, sometimes soft (tbh I like my potatoes both ways so I'm not complaining). There's an outdoor dining area that kinda has romantic vibes and it's really nice to sit outside on a pretty day. The staff have always been nice so far and the service is reasonably fast, plus bonus points bc they have a restroom. I can almost guarantee that your hands will be a saucy mess when you're done with your food (well, at least if you get the wraps ?), so it's great that you can wash your hands! Love this place ?“
“Great tasting food, Good variety. Professional staff, very polite and helpful. The facilities are clean.I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. They did a wonderful job serving us in the rear patio area during our family gathering after a funeral.“
“I really enjoy the food here. I usually get the Greek salad. A little different take on it, lots of great veggies that I enjoy. No feta, but a ton of chunky veggies. I have tried the lamb gyro, and the pork belly - both are really good. I recommend it.“
“Very spicy grilled jalapeno! Loved that kick to keep me awake at the office. Plenty of rice, flavorful chicken. Plenty of parking in the small parking lot due to some empty units. Food is grilled when ordered so everything is fresh.Parking: Business in this strip mall isn't good. Mostly takeout.“
“Finally got to try this spot in Cerritos as I love anything Mediterranean food. It's a little restaurant in a small plaza across from Cerritos mall. I ordered the Beef Shawarma with rice, garlic sauce, potato salad, cucumber yogurt and falafel. Everything was delicious, cooked and seasoned well. Finally tried falafel for the first time and it was great, and even better when dipped ! The portions are huge too, I couldn't even finish the entire order. Their pita bread are huge and fluffy, probly the best pita bread iv had so far. Would definitely come back to try other plates“
“I was craving some Mediterranean food and this spot was close. A solid choice for kabobs!I had their chicken and beef combo. It was delicious, perfectly cooked and tender all around. The salad was also pretty descent.I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.“
“The food is great ! My favorite Dutch baby. Nice atmosphere, 3rd time been here and we got seated rt away. Got to meet the owner one time, very business minded young man, and he is doing great . Thank you for great food and good service! I wish Dutch Baby doesn't take long to make, but it's worth the wait.“
“Tasty food that is light, healthy, and delicious! The staff was super nice and accommodating Friendly service. You order at the counter and they make your food to order. It's a very casual place with a nice atmosphere! I can't wait to go back and try the fresh juices. Will definitely be a regular here“
“The atmosphere of the place is very pleasant and the place is clean. It is the first time I visited. I didn't know what to buy and the employee helped me and the truth is, the food is very delicious. The vegetables are delicious. The rice is not dry or hard. The chicken They taste good. Recommended for parking. It is better to use the lot.. Recommended.“
“today i went to the hummus factory with my wife - in Downey location.we got the chicken plate.and honestly the quality of the food was very high.excellent standard.the balance of the flavor is excellent.the flavor of the chicken is amazing.the presentation of my plate was super decent ??.i have been in different Mediterranean food services but this place is one of the best places to enjoy the Mediterranean Cousine.we had a very nice moment.and the guys are very kind.everything was very fresh and super delicious.Thank you guys.“
“I got a bunch of maneesh (aka Arabic pizza) this time and the service was excellent as usual. The interior is decorated with beautiful stone like masonry and other items that gives the place a very traditional, medieval and/or even ancient vibe to it. There are only 5 tables for sitting inside (22ish people max) but the patio area a lots for much more seating capacity. The cheese Maneesh is excellent as always as is the zaatar. And fortunately, the lahmbi3ajeen maneesh was even better than last time. The food is a little on the expensive side but it seems like that is the trend everywhere in southern California and probably in the US in general as well.Vegetarian options: Maneesh, falafel, humus, labne and much much more.Parking: The parking lot could get full sometimes but usually there is always plenty of parking spots available. Additional street Parking is available as well within 20-40 yards (meters).“
“I love this shawarma! I have had it when it was a food truck, and now it still tastes great! The place is clean, the portions are big, the sandwiches are loaded and the chicken is moist. The 1 star lost is because I felt it was lacking salt a bit, but it was still enjoyable. The fries are also really good but also lacked salt, but overall one of the best shawarmas in town! I think this place will take off after COVID, especially with hookah and big spaces to sit available!“
“Great place for food family and friends , service is very fast and courteous. They go out of their way to make authentic Egyptian fair in a perfect flavor and home style. There is not another restaurant that comes even close , thank you Zizi and your diligent staff for wonderful time and a wonderful meal.“
“Cleant eats! Felt like it used to be more popping pre pandemic but what can ya do. They got everything really, burgers ?, salads ? sandwiches ?, pastas ?Solid 7.5 -8 in my opinion. Ima stifler tho..get the chicken or salmon cibatta, hella good! Definitely a grub spot, check it out “
“Finally tried this place for the first time; we've been wanting to come here before but it was always closed. My husband ordered a Greek salad with grilled chicken breast & I ordered the chicken & beef combo plate with rice & baba ghanoush. It came to $40.27; I had only $37 in cash & was going to pay the rest with my card but the guy that took our order, said as I pulled out my card, "That's ok", & he only accepted $37 in cash as full payment. That was EXTREMELY nice of him; found out later from the female employee that his name is Shaunt (not sure if that's the correct spelling) & he's one of the owners, along with his brother. Pretty cool We ate our food there; it was a small, kinda dark place. The front door was wide open & there was no A/C on but I noticed that they had a floor fan & a couple of wall A/C units in the restaurant. I don't know if they were working or not. The tables & chairs were clean & so was the front part of the restaurant. The food took a little time being prepared but not too long; at least it was fresh & hot! And the food was delicious, fresh & hot. We didn't have any leftovers, but it was a nice amount of food. I really enjoyed eating here! We would definitely try this place again.“
“If you have not been, you need to go! The food tastes amazing the quality of not just the food but the service is the best I've ever experienced. They got helpful staff at the front, and the manager is a class act kind of guy. He makes it feel like you just went to your family's house for lunch. You really can't beat this place!“
