“Absolutely my families favorite taco truck I'm a asada Taco type of girl, switching up for nachos occasionally, my daughter has the veggie burrito or quesadilla, son and late husband both asada burrito supreme guys, and those two are very particular with their burritos and the cooks have always gotten it not just correct but absolutely delicious as well. I have tried everything above and they are all phenomenal. I crave my taco ? truck at least a couple times a week. Almost as important as taste........ Price, and well the prices are phenomenal as well. Can't say enough about Los Serranos ?? ? .“
“I enjoy going to places to try out food from small businesses. I came here in the afternoon and met two lovely ladies. I ordered 2 combos of quesabirria tacos and gracian's fries to go. There are seating tables outside under a canopy while we waited for our food. The quesabirria tacos were the best I've had in Merced. Tacos were piping hot with lots of meat and cheese to get that string pull. Consome was also delicious. Gracian Fries were definitely a hit with my family as well. I will definitely be back. This will be my #1 food truck place to visit whenever I'm in town.“
“Great taco shop in Merced. You can ask to have it spicy. Everything tasted good you won’t regret it! Not dry not over spiced and not over salted. Waiting time was fast.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options. I haven’t tried it though.“
“Driving through Merced we wanted to stop for a bite to eat. After checking the best reviewed taco trucks in town, we were led here, and we were not disappointed! Armando was extremely welcoming and provided amazing and genuine customer service. We got burritos for the ride back, and I’m already craving another! Great spot, don’t miss out!“
“I got some tacos here 11/21/23 and they were amazing carne asada seasoned so nicely… the meat melted in my mouth tortillas piping hott everything was fresh. I told the lady I like spice so she gave me an avocado crema that was amazing with a kick I ordered 3 then went back and ordered another 3 for my hubby. He said you should’ve ordered me 6!Great customer service from the lady, she was really nice. I’ll be back definitely ??“
“Fantabular!!! I was lurking for some tacos. My usual go to place, El Sope, wasn’t open so I decided to give this place a shot. My oh my! You guys I mean it when I say, do not sleep on this place! Try their birria tacos(quesatacos) which are like a mix of quesadilla and a taco. They’re only like $3 a piece. You won’t be disappointed!“
“I love me some good tacos and this place definitely fits the bill.Located on Main St. in Merced, this truck is conveniently situated in a parking lot between Berner's Merced and Sensory Lab by Asip! There's plenty of parking in the lot and along the street. There's no seating; it's just pick up and go!I stopped by after studying in the coffee shop right next door! There was one lady running the show--taking orders and cooking up the food! She was awesome, and the food came out pretty quickly.I got an asada taco and an al pastor tacos with everything--salsa, onions, and cilantro, along with grilled onions, grilled jalapeño, and radish on the side. My one qualm is that I wish I had more salsa! So next time I go, I'll definitely ask for more. Other than that, it was good!Definitely a solid spot. You won't be disappointed eating here. If I'm ever in the area, I would definitely get more tacos or try out other things. Yum!!!“
“This taco spot is definitely in my TOP 3! The portions are generous- plenty of meat, plenty of juicy lemons! Tortillas cooked just right and the meat is always delicious and well-seasoned. You can smell the food as soon as you get into the parking lot! It smells amazing every time. I recommend this place to anyone stopping by in Merced.“
“Best wings in the 209 - yeah, I said it.We are talking fresh, crispy, sAucy, juicy, no frills freaking chicken wangs. Lemon pepper, sweet chili, nash hot...bone in, boneless: however you chicken wing, The Hot Spot is not disappointing. The menu is uncomplicated. You got your wing options, standard sides, and they also offer cheesestakes. Not gonna lie, prices are a lil steep. 10 boneless for $14 dollars, no side or drink but hey, you cannot put price on quality. I usually go for the 6 piece boneless combo for $13 or the buffalo chicken fries for $14. They offer great deals for larger orders, check out their Insta for specials (@thehotspot209).I always made it a point to head to the Tarmac whenever The Hot Spot truck is parked there. Come to find out, they have a whole ass brick and mortar in downtown Merced!!!! Best discovery of 2023. This spot is located between Main Street and I. A good deal of street parking is available. I want to say this downtown location only offers outdoor seating with plenty of shade. These summer temps are brutal so if you don't feel like waiting, be sure to call in your order. Everything is made fresh to order so depending on what you get and how busy they are, there will be a wait. For a small order for myself, I typically wait 12-15 minutes. I heard they just got their liquor license, so I am very excited to pair my wings with a brewkies. Now let's end this 5 star review talking about their 5 star service! My favorite thing about dining local is how passionate business owners and staff are about the product they put out. Everyone here is so friendly, accommodating and are even more of the reason to come back and support.“
“My dad brought me here because this food truck supposedly has the best in town. I have a few thoughts about this place. First, service here is a bit on the slow side. From the time that we ordered to the time we got our food was a long wait. The girl who took our order was new, but she was she was friendly and answered all our questions. Prices are higher than other food places, be prepared to spend a little more. They do have specials, which overall are a good price versus ordering individual items. My husband's carne asada burrito (extra meat) was huge. He's a big meat lover and he ate the whole thing. I ordered a mulita to try it out. It came with consomme from the Birria. Consomme was average for me, what I expect from food trucks add a squeeze of lime to the consomme and its much better.I had the tacos mar y tierra (surf and turf) which was asada and shrimp. These are some of the best tacos I have had in a long time. Handmade tortillas, shrimp was cooked to perfection. I love that they serve it with grilled jalapeño and onions and cucumber slices. Their Chipotle salsa is a bit spicy but goes great with the seafood. 100% coming back.“
