definitely got a kick outta this joint. really a 4.5*/5 since yountville shops close early 6-7pm every nite and i missed it on fri nite 3/15/24, but luckily came back for a different eatery and stopped in earlier on sat. afternoon. lucky, lucky... a bit crowded for such a popular joint, and very pricey so those are definitely the negatives. but since i'm a chocaholic, the +++++++ outweigh the ---, and i rounded up to 5*. we got the gelato, and 2 truffles to the tune of $12 = $11.75...read full review
This isn't your average chocolate shop. Kollar is a place where chocolate is art, both for the eyes and the tastebuds. My sister-in-law hand picked a custom box of chocolates for her kids. I just got a single chocolate for myself. I chose the caramel peanut butter option, which looked like a robin's egg ($7). The shell is a very thin layer of hardened sugar, basically the thickness of a chicken's egg. The caramel was thick and luxurious. The peanut butter was light and creamy....read full review
